    Having trouble seeing the amount of storage taken up on my phone. I can see each individual app, but it says no storage is used, and doesn’t include the size of iOS in the bar.

    Bluetooth issues iOS 15.0.1

    I have a 13 mini and I've noticed when I'm listening to music in my car via Bluetooth, there have been several occasions where it will initially pair to the car just fine but then the music will stop and it disconnects. Then I'll have difficulty re-pairing until I toggle my Bluetooth on and off on my phone.

    Also, a couple times I've caught the music volume slider going up and down on its own to change the volume when playing over Bluetooth...I'd never seen this before iOS 15 and the 13 mini

    Is this software related?

    Can't dismiss banner notification with ios 15

    There seems to be a feature missing from ios 15 that was on 14 and before.

    When a notification pops down while using your phone, you could pull down on it to view it. This is still the case with 15. But before you could pull down again to dismiss the notification. There was also an x above it to dismiss it. This is what is missing from 15 and I miss it so much! Now if you pull down it just goes away but is not cleared.

    Now you have to swipe away the notification then pull down the nonfiction center and swipe it away there!

    Anyone know if this is a glitch or a feature? Will that functionality come back?

    Anyone else miss it alot!

    P.S. You also can't swipe to the right to open a group of notifications. You have to tap on the group then tap on a specific one.

    Text Recognition in Pictures

    Is anyone else annoyed by the instant text recognition in photos, and it's interruption if the "double tap to zoom" feature?

    I get pictures and screenshots with things like MLB schedules, chat convos, etc, and trying to zoom with the double tap fails if you tap anywhere near text.

    A long press would have been better I think.

    Hi, I have a question about iCloud.

    So, I downloaded t-mobile test drive. It links itself to your iCloud to make sure that you don't do the trial again. I have tried going to icloud>storage to erase any data it might have saved, so I could do the trial again. Im pretty sure it's a file, because when i disable cloud drive the app stopped working also. I went in my files and there's no file relating to t-mobile there. When i delete the t-mobile test drive app, It says "Deleting will not remove any icloud data" Does anyone know how I can permanently unlink T-mobile from the iCloud so I can use it again? I have no service as of right now because of storms, so if anyone could help i'd appreciate it.

    How do I disable iMessage Games for a Group Chat?

    Hey all, I have a Group Chat in which members need to act relatively professional (It's supposed to be job related things only) but members keep using it to play iMessage Games. Is there any way I can disable iMessage Games so that members cannot play them in the Group Chat?

    iPhone 13 not automatically connecting to car bluetooth

    I recently got a iPhone 13 mini, which I restored from a backup of my iPhone 8. I connected the new phone to the bluetooth in my car (2011 Subaru Forester if that matters) with no problem, but have noticed that every time I get in and start the car it does not connect automatically. I have to go into bluetooth settings on the phone and manually push the 'CAR MEDIA' to get it to pair again. My iPhone 8 never had this issue, and would connect automatically each time.

    I've tried restarting the phone, turning bluetooth on and off, and deleting and re-pairing the device to no avail. Very frustrating. Any ideas?

    MS Teams screen recording - No sound issue

    Hey!

    I am a student at the uni. Thanks to pandemic, some lectures are online. I've recorded one of them with screen recording on my iPad, but unfortunately I have no sound recorded, only screen. I've checked on other apps and when I recorded them, I have both sound and screen.

    Did anyone have issue like that? How to have the sound other time? Is there any way to rescue that recording I already have?

    Multi Factor Authentication is built in to iOS 15

    An updated feature of iOS 15 that I've not seen touted much is the inclusion of MFA in iOS 15. Now, instead of using Duo, Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator, etc to get your six digit codes, you can use your phone to pass the MFA to a Mac.

    If you choose a website that requires an authenticator code, you can log into that site and choose to reset the MFA, then log out.

    On your iPhone (running iOS 15 or later) go to Settings > Passwords. Search or scroll to find the site in question. Tap it, and then tap the link for "Set Up Verification Code".

    Now on your Mac, log into the web site. It will ask you to set up MFA either using a QR code, or by entering a setup key (usually 6 digits). On the phone, choose the corresponding option. I used a QR code in testing.

    Once you've set up the MFA, subsequent logins to that web site on your Mac will give you a popup to click that will grab the MFA code from your phone and automatically enter it into the field in the browser.

    iOS 15 bug: Photos app struggles to play videos

    I have my photo library saved locally on my device. Since updating, I've found that it takes me about a minute of messing around to get videos from my camera roll to play.

    What happens is I'll press play and nothing happens. I have to scroll forward and backwards through the video, re-open the video several times in different orientations or completely restart the app. Anyone else having similar issues?

    (I've reported this to Apple, I'm just curious if this is widespread)

    Iphone "Friendly" app (FB) in group chat not playing voice messages, howto fix?

    - there is lots of storage still available

    - seems like its loading on repeat

    - same if low battery mode set on or off

    - ios 15

    - same if privacy shield set on or off

    Apple has broken the keyboard on iOS 15

    The keyboard seems to be flickering after hitting send in every messaging app, be it Apple's own iMessage or other third party apps such as WhatsApp or MS Teams. It has made the iOS15 experience horrible (Not to mention there are numerous other small issues with this version).

    Apple Music and Google Nest Integration on ios

    Hi r/ios

    I'm totally new to ios and going through a few noob things but I'm hoping someone can help or advise on a behaviour in Apple Music?

    I'm a long term Spotify user but am trying Apple Music, I like the offering and content but I can't get it to work in a similar way to Spotify on Google Nest.

    Around my house, I have several nest devices but they're not always within reach, with Spotify on both Android and ios, I can start playing in the app, then direct it to a speaker of choice, but crucially, I can then control what's playing, volume etc from my mobile. I want to browse for something new, I can, or skip a couple, that's fine. I know I can use voice commands but that's not always suitable and not for browsing anyway.

    With Apple Music, the Nest component and the phone component seem to be working independently, I can't interact with the Apple Music playing on nest from my mobile at all. It's the same on the web player, I can use Spotify as a remote console to play on Nest but not Apple Music.

    Is what I'm looking for possible (without bluetooth). And if so, a couple of pointers would be appreciated, thanks.

    Can the new iCloud Account Recovery feature be used for helping regain access to apple devices if the owner forgot the passcode?

    I was checking to see if the account recovery feature is now working, after the public release, and I realized that I haven't found an answer to that question yet. I've been wondering about it ever since it was introduced in the betas.
    It'd be a huge game changer if the feature could actually be used to regain access to iDevices, as I've forgotten my passcode exactly a year ago and had to live with a loss of one month full of pics that weren't backed up.

    Internet is working but still getting “Cannot connect to the App Store”

    My wifi and cellular data are working normally and I can browse the internet as well use other apps. The problem arises whenever I open the App Store and it gives me an error "Cannot connect to the App Store". I have to keep clicking the retry button to finally gain access to the App Store be it the app tab or the game tab. I'm on ios 15.0.1 but this issue was also present in ios 14.7. I don't know if it's a bug or anything and would really like a suggestion.

    Battery life on 15.0.1 is terrible iPhone 11

    The overall battery life was awesome on 14.8 but as ios 15 jumped in the battery life is worse and I have to now charge my phone 2 or maybe even 3 times a day, what is wrong with apple 😡
