iOS Contacts granted access, what is visible? Posted: 29 Aug 2021 10:10 PM PDT When I give an app permission to access Contacts, can we see the details in contacts that are available to the app? According to this doc, the API calls seem to expose FN/LN, DOB, Notes, Address. I'm not sure if other fields such as relationship, company, nickname are also available to an app. Is there a way to see which contacts fields the app is requesting? I don't share my contacts with any apps because an app could potentially access private details as I store personal details about the contacts in the notes. Stopping Stocks App opening in multiple windows Posted: 30 Aug 2021 07:06 AM PDT My dad has an iPad with the stocks app on it. Every few days or so the prices stop updating. The only way I can get it to move again is by double tapping the home button and closing all apps. I did notice the stocks app having multiple versions open at once. Posted: 30 Aug 2021 01:53 AM PDT hello, i've never had/used a iOS phone in my entire life but i do wanna try it, why?. a few reasons, 1-i was talking to a family member of mine who has one, and she reccommended/suggest i get one too. 2-my current phone a motorola g play is kinda dying on me, what do i mean? the battery drains very quickly, it becomes very slow, and its prone to overheating, idkw, it was working just fine months ago, but now it has problems that is very odd. I want to turn on google timeline on my Iphone. Location History is on My phone is added as "Devices on this account" But my timeline is empty. Set Location to always. Choose Location history. Click devices on this account. Check mark your iphone (this device). Organizing Photos Posted: 29 Aug 2021 06:14 PM PDT I'm wondering if there was a way to organize photos so that photos in albums don't show up in "Library"? I'm finally organizing my photo album after years and it would be nice to properly separate my photos into specific "folders" (albums). I'm kind of basing it on emails - some emails get left in the base inbox, but others go into specific folders that I can't view unless I go into a specific folder for. Smart notifications Posted: 30 Aug 2021 03:57 AM PDT Recently coming from 10y on Android. I just need verification if I'm doing something wrong or if this system still uses old style fire-and-forget notifications and I need to get used to it. In Android, I used my smartwatch to know when to pick up phone or computer to reply back to someone. After that, the notification for the incoming message were cleared and synced across all devices. Matter has been handled, no need for user to see it anymore. With this iphone 12 & apple watch 6 setup, I constantly need to dismiss all messages/emails on my watch even if I've been into the app on the phone/computer marking the message read and even responding. I recently bought an iPhone 12 and am having great time with it but I have an issue about Instagram stories. When I put music on my instagram story, after it's uploaded, it gets blurred and I don't even know why. I think it's related to the optimisation between instagram and iPhone 12 but maybe it's only with my phone. Although I tried to turn the setting "High Quality Uploads" on under the "Data Usage" setting section, it didn't take any effect. I'm getting asked every day to reapply passwords.
