I had a Gmail account so I entered my Gmail ID and everything was set, I was able to use imessages and use apple services. But now I want an iCloud email ID and want my Apple ID to be linked with it, when I go to edit my email address in the settings, It only gives me an option to add another email and not create an email. My iPhone will start charging when plugged into my computer, but no "Trust this device?" pop-up will show. My computer simply won't recognize there's anything plugged into the USB. I went into Device Manager already and found I had no Portable Device driver, so I installed it. Yet there was still nothing. I've uninstalled and reinstalled iTunes. I can still see the "box" that the apps are in but I cannot see any of the icons unless I click on it. Then when I exit the "box" they disappear again. I have also experienced some of the messages I sent lastnight had disappeared? I was texting some goodnight and they responded so I know we both saw it. | How to fix broken charging port on iPhone? Posted: 15 Aug 2021 03:28 PM PDT So the charging port on my 4 year old 8+ no longer works. And before you say clean it out, I have. Cleaning it out used to work but it doesn't anymore. Even with a fully cleaned out port, it's still incredibly loose and doesn't charge. It used to work at super specific angles, but now it doesn't work at all. It's definitely my phone that's the problem because I've tried multiple cables and devices. These cables all work on different devices, but none of them charge my phone. This isn't a problem for me because I do most of my charging wirelessly anyway. And I have two wireless chargers that I use to keep this thing topped up. However, my mom wants me to upgrade and give her my phone. And while I'd normally be on board, I'd like to make sure that she has a working charging port first because she doesn't want to use wireless charging. Is there a good way to fix this? I also tried holding shift control alt plus the power button. The latter turns the charging light green for a sec when I let go but nothing else. Didn't spill water or drop it.
