    hey, so i got a new phone yesterday (xr), i didn't backup my old phone because i didn't have enough storage and i also didn't really mind. my photos app is stuck on 'Updating…' so i was wondering what that means.

    IPHONE XR Stuck on Apple Screen

    I tried to reset the network settings on my phone and now it's stuck on the apple screen. I tried to reset it, but after going black it went back to the apple screen. Is there any way I can recover my photos? If it is at all relevant, my phone had been slowing down/certain apps weren't working because I was running out of storage.

    How can I transfer my apps installed on my android to my new iPhone?

    I recently switched from an Android to an iPhone xr and I was about to transfer my android apps to iPhone but I had a popup about my apple account. I went and confirmed my account but I lost the popup and can't find a way to transfer my downloaded android apps to my iPhone. Is there a way to transfer apps?

    MacBook Pro 2017 not working after repair

    Hey guys. So my laptop has been causing issues for a while now. A few weeks ago my trackpad and keyboard weren't working and then my screen became unresponsive. I sent it to the Apple repair center and they shipped it back 2 weeks ago. It was working fine until yesterday. When I turn my laptop on there is a grey/blue screen. Like I know my laptop is on but the display doesn't show up if that makes sense. Any reason why when they repaired my laptop the first time they didn't see the issue or any idea on what could be causing this issue?

    I'm not really sure what happens at the repair center. Do you guys know if they take apart the laptop and check every part to see what the issue is? On the paper I got when my laptop shipped back to me says they replaced the "top case with battery, ANSI, space grey, J130A". I'm not sure what any of that means and when I call Apple support to talk to them about the issue or what they fixed at the repair center or what caused the issue last time they don't give me a good answer. Any input would be appreciated. I just called them and they will be shipping me a box soon so I can send this back to the repair center. Hopefully the issue gets fixed soon because this is getting annoying now lol

    “Documents” folder in iCloud Drive

    I'm unable to name a folder "Documents" in iCloud Drive on my iPad. I go to "create new folder" and then I change the name from "new folder" to "Documents" it seems like its going to work and then it goes back to "new folder". I had to name it "My Documents". Does anyone know how to have a "Documents" folder in iCloud Drive?

    What does “remove from account” mean?

    I just found out someone I knew was still connected to my Apple ID (I had signed in when I set it up for them), so I went in my Apple ID page and pressed "remove from account". What does this do to them? I've been receiving random iCloud sign in prompts on my computer and my verification method for downloading apps is now password instead of Touch ID. What happened?

    Mouse and TrackPad Scroll dilemma

    I just shifted from windows to Macbook air 2020.
    When I enabled the natural scroll in settings, my mouse gets a reverse scroll
    When I disable it, my trackpad gets reverse.
    is there any way to keep them the same?
    I hope I made my question clear.

    iOS 15 Beta 5 VPN

    Since iOS 15 Beta 5 I've had issues using my phone while connected to Wi-Fi. A day later figured out issues with AT&T Mobile Protect VPN app. When I cut it off phone works just fine. Has anybody else been having these issues?

    IPhone 7 App Store Crashing

    What's up everyone. As you can see in the description, I have an iPhone 7 and any time I try to download anything from the app store, it crashes and doesn't download the app. Sometimes, it crashes while doing a search. I've been having this issue for probably over a year now. Can't download anything and find any solutions online.

    Anyone run into this issue before and know how to fix it?

    Big Sur update taking 2+ days

    I have a 2017 iMac and decided to start the update to Big Sur on Monday. It downloaded fine, but it has been stuck on the Apple logo with a progress bar for the past few days.

    Safe mode works and is actually in Big Sur, but it's in a new account and all of my personal data is gone.

    I've tried utility disk and found the data is there but I cannot access it as the one admin account is the one that is deleted. So I can't make any changes

    iPhone Mic Not Working

    I'm trying to find the problem where an iPhone 7 plus' microphone is not working at all. No applications will utilize the mic, including cellular calls. Voice memos won't start recording, audio imessages won't start recording, videos will have no audio (not even the sound button can be toggled), along with quiet cellular calls on both ends with the speaker phone icon that can't be toggled either. I've updated the phone, even reset the settings and haven't fixed it.

    Is my package lost, and what does a delivery investigation entail?

    I recently ordered a MacBook Air with AirPods and chose to deliver it to a pickup point (a UPS access point operated by a local business). My AirPods came fine, and I went to pick them up. Once the tracking had said my MacBook was delivered, I went to the pickup point and gave all my details, but they said they couldn't find the parcel.

    I contacted Apple Support who told me to go again, and I've now been twice with the same result. Apple Support then told me to contact UPS, the courier, but they were useless. I contacted Apple Support again, and they've begun an investigation into my delivery.

    My question is then, what could've happened to my parcel, and what is a delivery investigation?

    Bluetooth Keyboard not recognized until disconnection/reconnection

    Hi, excuse my ignorance as i'm coming the windows world and am new to Macos. On my M1 Macbook air, my bluetooth keyboard doesn't seem to work until I unlock the laptop, go into the bluetooth dropdown, and then click the keybooards bluetooth icon off and then on again. After that, it seems to work fine. I also have a bluetooth mouse, but that doesn't have that problem, and it connects just fine on the lock screen. Any tips or bluetooth settings i might be able to change that will make the keyboard work properly?

    Is it possible to have separate desktops between monitors with a shared desktop?

    I have a second monitor for essentially presentation purposes. It is not always facing me, so I would like to be able to switch my main monitor to a shared or "mirrored" space/desktop (Monitor 2's output) in order to make changes, then switch my main monitor back to my desktop which contains apps/items that don't need to be shared.

    Is this possible? I'm only able to make separate groups of spaces which are distinct to their respective monitors which doesn't help. It seems like the problem could be addressed by simply opening Preferences and checking/unchecking mirroring each time I want to make a change which is...not ideal. Is there anyway to do this with spaces/desktops/mission control?

    Using Catalina on an iMac 2015 and occasionally an old MacBook Pro 2012, fwiw.

    Non-Time Machine backup?

    I have a back up on a hard drive that is just labeled "backup" and inside the folder is more folders that are named: 00, 0a, 0b, 0c, 0d, 0e, 0f, 01, 1a, 1b, and it continues for probably a hundred folders. I clicked around in some of them and can actually see some of the thing I want to restore.

    Is there a way to do it? I don't think time machine works with this back up.

    Another problem I have is that a ton of the files in these folders say I don't have permission to access but when I check Get Info it says I have read+write permissions

    Any tips are welcome.

    Apple Return broke my laptop

    Hi, I tried to trade in my 2019 MacBook pro. I packaged it up in perfect condition. Apple rejected the trade in saying it was damaged. Upon return, it had a dent in the corned that cracked the screen and bent to bottom plate. Again, it was in perfect condition when I sent it in. Now I have a useless computer. What are my options here? I do have Apple Car plus which allows for 2 instances of accidental damage. Would that cover something like this? Do I have any recourse with FedEx or the Apple return partner. I didn't take pictures before I sent it. Thanks

    Dark Mode now makes my Word Default to Dark 'Paper'

    I've had my MacBook Air on dark mode forever, but now with a new update (macOS BigSur) my Word can't be on dark mode without the paper background being black and the font white. I tried to just change the paper to white on Word itself, but then the font is also white and if I try to change that to black, it just looks like a super faded grey.

    Is there any way to keep dark mode on but have Word default to white background and black font?

    Excel is fine.
