As a reminder, here are the current ground rules: We will be posting daily megathreads for the time being (at 9 AM ET) to centralize some of the discussion on this issue. This was decided by a sub-wide poll, results here. We will still be allowing news links in the main feed that provide new information or analysis. Old news links, or those that re-hash known information, will be directed to the megathread. The mod team will also, on a case by case basis, approve high-quality discussion posts in the main feed, but we will try to keep this to a minimum. | LPT for iOS/iPadOS: use a shortcut to change wallpapers from any app without saving to Photos Posted: 18 Aug 2021 11:53 AM PDT So I keep a collection of wallpapers in my OneDrive, or I come across a JPEG in Safari. Before I'd save these images to the Photos app and then set it as wallpaper from there. That's unnecessarily cluttering your photo library with junk that I sometimes forget to delete. I searched for a shortcut to do this via Shortcuts, but all shortcuts on Google are to change it to a rotating collection, to a folder in your Files app, etc. Fortunately creating a shortcut for my use case was easy. Link: https://www.icloud.com/shortcuts/4a67148360ae4cdeb44d02c66f2e4fe5 Enable this in your share sheets. Then go to any image - Safari, Files, or your cloud app of choice, bring up the share sheet, and select the shortcut. Choose your destination (lock, home, or both), preview the wallpaper placement, and you're done! [link] [comments]  | ||
