    Sorry if this is the wrong sub.

    Okay so I just set up my new series 6 and when I activate the "torch" mode, there's a faint but noticeable verticle lone on the display. Some googling leads me to see that it's common:

    Seeing as it isn't noticeable when using the watch and that it's so common, is it worth asking apple for a replacement?

    Why iPhone saves images captured within a third party App(WhatsApp or iNaturalist for example) in photos library? Is there a way to disable this?

    When I take images within an app, for example WhatsApp, those images get added to my photo library, in android this is not the case. I don't want this to happen. It is the same with iNaturalist Seek, I take a lot of photos of plants, animals etc around me, I do not want them to mess my photo library. I just want those photos to stay only within the app I took them on. Is there a way to do it?

    Why can I not increase keyboard size?

    I have large fingers and Apple auto correct sucks. Why can I not increase the keyboard size (greater than that in zoomed view)? Man I was only hoping for this feature in iOS 15.

    I find it incredible that Apple was this caring when designing the Sleep focus setup. As someone with a bit of a phone addiction and mental health issues this is huge.

    I have 112GB left on my device. I tried to export it to my photos app and it said not enough space required…. Wha?

    Then I go back to iMovie and the project is just gone.

    I can make it again but man I had it perfect. I'm screwed right?

    Wondering if anyone's had this issue on their IPhone 12? Randomly started today, and I've had the pop up asking me to sign in 20 times roughly so far. I changed my password just in case it was due to someone attempted to get in. Still asking after the change. Is it a server problem or something else? Been using the phone fine for weeks, it's also fully updated. Thanks in advance for any help!

    This bug is only in the iPhones with a home button. This bug wasn't found on other iPhones like iPhone X and iPhone 12 Pro Max.

    VPN (Surfshark) not working on iOS 15?

    Hi. Since updating to the IOS 15 beta, I can't connect to my VPN (Surfshark). Is anyone else experiencing this issue? I have no problems on my devices that still run IOS 14.

    I use JustWatch pro and I am looking for a widget for it or another app with widget supports that can sync all my JustWatch pro watchlist. My watchlist is very long and would want something that syncs with it automatically.

    I use it for tv series and not movies.

    Anyone wishes we could disable highlight function in Books?

    I read fictions to practice English, so I look up the dictionary very often.

    But Books always misinterprets my gesture and highlights the paragraph, unless I hold my finger over the word VERY still.

    I don't really highlight my books, but having multiple functions enabled in slightly different gestures is very annoying.

    Theory of the future of iOS and Apple Glasses

    I have a weird speculation, and I really hope this is allowed here because I read the rules and seen nothing really against it, so here we go.

    In the future I think Apple is going to release their 'Glasses' and market it as running a branch of iOS (It is of course going to process everything on the iPhone at first, rather than on the glasses themselves)…

    But after maybe 1-3 years of that, I think marketing is gonna take a weird change, so hear me out:

    Apple will probably announce that iPhone's software (iOS) is going to be changed to iPhoneOS (just like they did with the iPad in 2019).

    But why? The wording 'iOS' looks cool, and it's one of Apples best products itself, and everyone recognizes the term iOS.

    Well, iOS won't die off, I think the future of iOS is completely on the Glasses.

    It makes more sense (to me)… YouTubers have called it "rOS" — but, that sounds stupid, let's all agree on that.

    Why not make the software for the one product that literally goes over our Eyes called iOS (Think Eye-OS).

    So yeah, In the future I think Apple will change iOS for the iPhone to iPhoneOS and make iOS the proprietary software for only the Apple Glasses, and in such, iPhoneOS and iOS will live together in harmony.

    iPadOS

    tvOS

    Are there any free note-taking apps for iPhone that do not require creating an online account

    The built-in Notes app does not serve the purpose because it has a fatal flaw in my opinion - there have been many times when I either "bum-type" something into an existing note and therefore by mistake replace whatever existed there; or some note randomnly just poof, disappears for no discernible reason.

    Either way, the consequence is that I lose important info that is never recoverable. Plus, the Notes app cannot be exported (I cannot export individual notes since I have over 800 notes and cannot keep selecting each one).

    Any info I was able to obtain online speaks about apps like OneNote, EverNote, NoteBook, and many other apps' but all of them require creating an online account. I do not want to do that.

    I want an app that I just install and start using without needing to have an account. Preferably free.

    Amy ideas would be much welcomed and appreciated.

    Siri Bug - when I’m playing or have recently paused Apple Music, and I interrupt requesting Siri to “Play the news”, it continues the music instead of playing the news.

    My one plus 6 screen broke and considering getting a new phone.

    The two apps that were amazing on Android were a modded Spotify app and Vanced YouTube.

    The worst thing about Android is the play store. All of the games on the Play store are plagues with malware ads. Full screen ads which are forced 30 seconds.

    I have always thought of iPhone App Store to be better with ads. Also how do iPhone users overcome the free Spotify and add free YouTube?

    When I take a screenshot on my iPhone Xs there's quite a bit of lag, and when I send it directly from the screenshot preview it sends itself with text saying "Handoff". What's going on? Is there a way to turn this off?
