    All the images received on an iPhone are compiled in one folder. Since I use my phone for both work and personal life, everything shows up together.

    When trying to browse through work images I receive through WhatsApp / Slack, I often end up scrolling through my family images in front of my colleagues. It restricts me from using the phone freely.

    Dedicated image folders for all apps will really help. Slack images & videos in a folder called Slack in the Photos app. WhatsApp folder for all WhatsApp media. All camera photos in the camera folder.

    Am I the only one who's felt the need for this? For how much emphasis Apple puts on online privacy, I think in-person privacy is something they struggle with.

    Thoughts?

    (P.S. Lack of app locks is another, but that's not a huge deal.)

    Add Account for Google unresponsive (iOS 14.6)

    Using an iPad Air on iOS 14.6 and am unable to add my google account. When I go to Settings -> Mail -> Add Account, I get a list of choices, but when I tap Google here, nothing happens e.g. no sign-in page and just no response. I noticed this behaviour for AOL, Yahoo! etc. too (except they attempt to open api.login.yahoo... etc. only to have a window flash up and disappear again like nothing happened). Adding Outlook.com or iCloud accounts work just fine and logging into google in Safari app etc. works just fine too). Has anyone got the same experience and/or know what's up?

    Having the green “Camera has been used recently” indicator after unlock and randomly while using the phone. No Face ID available on my iPhone 7.

    Hello,

    So what's happening, I noticed that green camera indicator that shows up after I unlock my iPhone 7 most often and just at random moments of time while using the phone. Of course when I don't use the camera.

    In some apps, I would understand that, but it's quite bizarre to see it immediately after unlocking the screen. Like if somebody was spying after me.

    I tried factory reset and it did not help.

    Is that normal or not? Have you ever seen something like this or had this issue yourself?

    Two iPhones (XR left XS right). Same iOS. Same iCloud. Same ringtones selection. Changing the ringtone on one, results in a completely different ringtone being selected on the other. Reflection isn't even the default ringtone on either. I've tried removing and restoring all ringtones. I'm stumped.

    While resetting a password on my iPhone 12 Pro, iOS suggested a complex password. I've seen this before but never tried it. So, I tried it… and iOS didn't save it. Is this a known issue?

    Push the volume button on your device, then drag up/down on the graphical indicator.

    Haven't seen this documented anywhere, but if it's old news, I apologize. Just thought it was cool!

    Reception issues

    I had an iPhone 6 that had issues with phone reception. It would cut in and out when calling or receiving calls making it impossible to hold a conversation. I switched phone carriers and SIM cards and it did not make a difference. Therefore, I thought it was an issue with the phone itself and purchased a brand new iPhone 12. I used QuickStart to transfer all the data from my iPhone 6 to iPhone 12. I'm still experiencing the phone connection issues that I did with my iPhone 6.

    Could this be some kind of bug that was transferred over from my iPhone 6? Any ideas or suggestions on what I should do?

    This does not appear to be an issue with the connection somehow being blocked by the building I'm in, as my partner also has an iPhone which has no reception issues (he also uses the same phone carrier).

    Do apps still send location data to app developers if the app has been force quit? Does "Always use my location" work as not always but only when the app is running in the background. I'd set a lot more apps to "always" and just force quit them when I'm done being tracked, but I'm unsure if it works that way.

    iBooks won’t download books I’ve already purchased

    I use iBooks pretty regularly, but tonight I've been facing an issue in which iBooks doesn't allow me to open books when I click on them. The books simply won't download. When I click on a book I get a message saying "when this item is finished downloading it will be available on your library," but the item never finished downloading.

    This isn't an issue of storage. Also, I've done all the usual quick fixes like restarting my phone and signing out of iCloud then back in. What's bizarre is that the iBooks app on my iPad is perfectly fine. Only my phone is having this issue. I'd very much like to avoid resetting my phone. Any ideas?

    Cant backup broken XR to working 6+

    I dropped my iPhone XR in the pool, and it broke the cell service and face id. I backed it up to iTunes on my PC to restore it on a working iPhone 6 plus that I have. When I go to restore it on my PC, it says that I cant because I have iOS 12.5.4 on the 6+ and iOS 14.6 on the XR. Does anyone have a work around to get all my data on my XR to my 6+?

    Hide my email specific folder set

    Is it possible to set my 'Hide me email' emails to go to a specific Folder in Mail?

    I've set a rule with the email address but obviously Apple create one off specific address when it's forwarded so it's not actually seen as coming from the 'Hide my email' address.

    I received app removal notification from apple about. Apple said my account associated with the previous terminated account which violates developer of conduct. I can't imagine how to associate with the previous terminated account. I have only one account and it can't associate with other account. Could you please provide me some suggestion how to appeal or share your successful appeal experience?

    Finally this annoying pop-up is gone with iOS 15, i wish they moved it to the notification centre but they totally removed it. The sending part is fixed in a weird way, the file still continues to transfer if you move away from share sheet.

    so i live in saudi arabia and recently discovered that pixiv exists on app store but not the saudi arabian one, does that have anything to do with ios or is it something related to saudi arabia? because i find it weird especially that the app is available on the google play store of saudi arabia.
