- MacBook touchbar stuck in this configuration. None of the buttons work either.
- Every time i start up. Anything i can do? Any idea why?

- UPDATE: iPad Air 3 broke itself. Never dropped or banged. Any ideas? 25 months old, hardly used. Latest version. Factory reset didn't work.

| Posted: 24 Jul 2021 07:27 PM PDT So my mom got me a new phone by surprise a few months back and transferred all of my data from my old IPhone to my new one. A few months prior to this I was deleting my Gmail account and moving to a new one for personal reasons, however the old Gmail account was linked to my Apple ID. Multiple times a day my phone asks me to sign into my Apple ID, however when it won't let me. It keeps saying I'm using an invalid password when I know I'm using the correct one, and won't let me make a new Apple ID until I sign in… which I can't. How can I fix this problem? For reference I still have my old phone with all it's data if that helps [link] [comments]  |

When i go into recovery mode it gives me the error icon with the message support.apple.com/mac/restore.. i know you can fix it with 2 apple devices but i have only this mac.. also i can't install new update and i have even downloaded big sur 11.5 on a flash drive and try to install it and it crashes halfway through..i just want to restore the damn thing...the update always downloads up to a point and then reaches the end and just crashes.. what do i do ? | How to turn ringer off for emergency bypass texts Posted: 24 Jul 2021 09:40 PM PDT I don't like how the ringer is always on even when I put my phone on silent. I want to see their texts no matter what, but the noise interrupts songs and videos and can be really frustrating for multiple texts. Ideally, I'd like it if I could control all texts' noises with the ringer button, so if I have it off, all texts including those from contacts with emergency bypass will be silent (while still going through), and vice versa. I contacted apple and they said the exact opposite of what i've been reading on reddit and their website. 1) Do shared albums take up space on your phone? If i add photos, will the space double? | iPhone 12 stolen and Apple ID locked... Posted: 24 Jul 2021 08:05 PM PDT Friday night my phone was stolen. In a hurry I tried to login into my Apple ID to use find my, on a friend's phone. After a few tries my account got locked and couldn't unlock it instantly, since I couldn't use my phone number. I chose the option to unlock it by e-mail, I had to wait for 24 hours till they gave me an update about the password change. In the update they stated that I have to wait for 27(!!) days till I can change my password (and unlocking the account). I tried to call Apple support, but they aren't available in the weekend. I have tried to update, and restore from iTunes on my Windows laptop. While attempting to restore on iTunes I see the process running in the status window at the top of iTunes and while preparing and trying to connect my iPhone shows the Apple logo. Initially it shows the Serial Number but as the restore is happening it becomes n/a. Is there any possible way to make this work? Will Apple store be able to even fix this? Is it better to take it to a 3rd party repair shop? There are photos on a 3rd party app that are not backed up that I would like to keep. [link] [comments]  |

Now when I turn it on I can hear the chime but the display is blank white except for the left side which starts out dark until gradually turns white like the rest of the screen. They determined the device is not covered under the blank screen issue as the serial number is not one of the known devices. It's also not a blank screen (but it was a good try). Blank Screen Issue Thanks u/churiburi for pointing this out. I opened the device myself and tried redoing the cables a few times. Same problem. Also, no amount of tapping on the screen changes the image. That makes me think there's something wrong with the motherboard itself and ordering a new screen will be a waste of money. I might take it to a place and see if they would do a quick test to see if a new screen would work. I already have it open so they just have to plug it in. I heard I would lose the fingerprint sensor with a new screen though. [link] [comments]  |

| Worried sick about losing my data during a PAC transfer. Posted: 24 Jul 2021 05:31 PM PDT Got an iPhone 11 today since my 6s is starting to slow down, and the store workers had to change my data contract provider, meaning to keep my number the same across to the 11 they had to do a PAC transfer (this all means nothing to me aha) and i'm really worried that i'll lose my data on my 6s when the PAC transfer is complete because apparently the old sim card dies when it finishes. The transfer is supposed to take 2 days and I have the new sim card and the new phone ready to be turned on, but i don't know whether to set up the 11 before my phone number is transferred or wait until it's done. All of this is very confusing and I'm sorry if i sound like a child, but if i could just have some info or help about this that'd be great! [link] [comments]  |

| Apple won't refund in app purchase Posted: 24 Jul 2021 04:54 PM PDT I was recently charged four times in the app store for something that can only be purchased once. If anyone is aware of what Team Fight Tactics is, I bought the event pass + arena skin. You can only hold one event pass and one version of the same arena skin. So basically I paid 4 times for something I could only receive once. Even if I could receive it multiple times, I wouldn't want to spend THAT much money in the first place. I tried reaching out to a live customer support agent over text and they said they couldn't refund it. They tried to make it sound like the refund was declined because it's within their policy but um... Would this not be COMPLETELY illegal on apple's part? I am pretty sure you're not allowed to mischarge someone for something, be told about it and then decline ANY sort of refund. It's not as if I received something 4 times, if I did, THEN maybe I could understand a declined refund (even though that's still horrible to do, Apple makes enough money). They told me they scheduled a call back for me later for me, but could anyone tell me I'm not just insane here? You're not allowed to charge someone for something 4 times, give them 1 thing and then say... sorry but no refunds. That's not allowed right? Update: Even the guy on the phone said he couldn't help. I am wondering why it does this so often though (like 5 times a day). This is a brand new phone too which was a replacement for my insurance plan. | iPhone 12 Series Battery Issues Posted: 24 Jul 2021 12:36 PM PDT Recently I found that my iPhone 12 mini's battery lift becomes absymal. My first thought is this is due to iOS 15 beta. Then I checked my battery health, which is abnormally low at 90% after less than 9 months usage. So I talked to my friends who also own a iPhone 12 or iPhone 12 mini, finding out I am not the only one. One of my friends' iPhone 12 mini only has 89% battery health. The other two iPhone 12s have 90% and 91% respectlively. All are purchased when the phone came out, which is around 9 and 10 months ago, depending on the model. As I remembered, my iPhone X has 91% battery health after 3 years usage. I wonder if this is a wide-spreading issue and if I should contact Apple to replace my battery, since 90% on iPhone 12 mini is anot a good experience. Andis it possible that this issue relates to the heat produced by 5G (though I've never used 5G)? [link] [comments]  |
