    Dog walking workout

    Posted: 30 Jun 2021 02:48 AM PDT

I use the Outdoor Walk workout, when Im taking my dogs out. Its not really suitable, as every so often the watch thinks Im done walking and I have to press Dismiss, because Im stood waiting for my dogs to sniff, forage, pee etc.
A Dog Walking workout that doesn't alert me every time I stop walking, would be awesome. The timing will not be true, but the distance and calories would still count towards my goals.
    What do you guys think?

Watching reminding me to stand in the middle of the night?

    Posted: 30 Jun 2021 08:48 AM PDT

Does anyone else's watch send them standing reminders when they're sleeping? I don't wear my watch to sleep often but the past couple nights I have and have been getting buzzed to stand up at like 2 am and 3am lol. Am I missing a setting that disables this during sleep hours?

    Edit: title should say watch**

Is it okay to let the apple watch on charge for couple hours? (Even if its 100%). Like at night

Do you think Apple will maintain compatibility with the current bands for a long time?

    Posted: 29 Jun 2021 09:58 PM PDT

My band collection is getting larger, I hope they won't come out with some new design that will make my bands useless.

Are you using all the tracking features?

    Posted: 30 Jun 2021 04:56 AM PDT

First of all... is it only me who finds it confusing to have a fitness and health app? And i have always s hard time to find the right settings where i can put my own data into the health app... or was it the fitness app!? 😅

I've turned it all on and play football (soccer for the american people) on competitive level and i'm also going to the gym 3-4 times a week. But i barely use (or look at the data) fitness or step tracking etc. on my watch or phone... only sometimes if i have to send my coach the proof of my running time etc. I also tried to track my sleep but i'm not satisfied with the oitput data and wearing the watch at night (where it usually should be charged) because i banned all electronical devices from my bedroom. I can't wear my watch during football training and games so i have to estimate time and kcal... only my workouts at the gym are implemented automatically into fitness/health app.

So my questions are... how often do you use this features and would it change something on the battery drain on watch and iphone if i turn it off?

Any recommendations on how i would use it more often (without installing more apps)?

Complication to open any app on watch?

    Posted: 30 Jun 2021 08:23 AM PDT

Hello! I want to be able to open the Google Maps app on watch from my watch face instead of going into the app menu. There doesn't seem to be a complication, at least not on series 3, so is there a way to make a shortcut of some sort that opens Google Maps from the watch face?

Data + GPS vs. GPS and no data

    Posted: 30 Jun 2021 08:12 AM PDT

Sorry if this is a dumb question but I couldn't find the answer. We are planning to get an Apple watch with GPS and a data plan but want to know that if at some point we turn off the data plan it would still be able to use GPS while not connected to wifi. Logic tells me that would work fine since you can get one without data but with GPS but I wanted to double check before taking the plunge since I could see us turning off the data in a couple months but still wanting the GPS for runs. Thanks.

    Non-cellular vs Spotify

    Posted: 30 Jun 2021 07:20 AM PDT

Hey guys, so I recently got a non-cellular Apple Watch series 3 and I'm trying to improve my running schedule, however I don't like to take my phone with me because it is a constant distraction for me. Is there a way to play Spotify in offline mode from your watch without having the phone near you? This might be an old question but I couldn't find anything on here. Please Advice. Thanks!

    Apple Watch + Oura Ring

    Posted: 30 Jun 2021 07:09 AM PDT

    Hi all,

I know this topic has been raised before, but as it was over a year ago I thought I'd revive it.

I'm currently the happy owner of a Series 6, eyeing up an Oura ring. I don't really like wearing my watch to bed, and my main form of exercise is a martial art where a ring would be fine but a watch needs to be removed. Hence considering Oura.

I'm wondering if anyone else has the same setup I'm envisaging and has any comments on how well it works? I'm a little concerned about double-logged exercise and heart rate measurements, HRV not being shared properly, and activity measurements during training not integrating smoothly with data from the rest of the day. Plus, as the two share a lot of sensors, I don't know whether an Oura might be a bit redundant.

    Cheers

SNES emulation on Apple Watch(Highly WIP)

So I've been working on this for about a week. Finally got a game to load

    What works: APU emulation

    What kinda works: Screen

    What doesn't: Controller, ROM selection

Huzzah! ''Reddit June Challenge'' is up and running!

Huzzah! ''Reddit June Challenge'' is up and running!

    First, download Challenges: http://apple.co/29WoKbl

Once you have the app, enter invite code: 'p2hw' or tap on the link below to join:

    loseit-challenges://join?eligibilitycode= p2hw

For those who may ask, the Challenges app does suggest a calorie goal. If your current goal is higher than what's suggested, it will still count towards your rings in the Challenges app. My calorie goal is always higher than what Challenges recommends and I always leave it higher. Example, Challenges might suggest 400 calories, I'm currently at 500 calories on Move goal, so I just leave it at 500.

Watch ECG shows Afib...now Im afraid

    Posted: 30 Jun 2021 01:54 AM PDT

Hey I am 28 years old. Since I have dizziness more often, I started an ECG on the watch. This shows AFIB. I panicked and immediately went to the doctor, who made an ECG and said that only the pulse is a little fast but otherwise everything is in synusrythm. But now I am still afraid that I have atrial fibrillation. Can it also be that the Watch provides false results? The heart lines also looked very strange on the Watch. The pulse varies over the day between 65 and 110.

What's the point of the Apple Watch if you have a phone?

    Posted: 30 Jun 2021 09:13 AM PDT

I'm not sure i see what the reason is for it when you could just have a regular watch and your smart phone? I mean you have to have the phone to use the watch. Under what circumstances are you really not going to be without your phone lol?
