| Posted: 06 May 2021 11:37 PM PDT i believe the iphone is at whatever the newest ios there is. i wish i could post a video of what happened but i can't so i'll explain it in my best ability. so i bought this phone on ebay from a really nice seller. they did a free battery replacement for. anyway i've had it for a over a month so i can't send it to them anymore. and yesterday my phone did this glitch where the screen freaked out and then shut off and is a grey screen when you turn it on. it turned back on for less then a min and was working again and then glitched again and turned right back off and has been grey since. it won't let me hard reset it. i brought it to a phone repair place and the guy quoted me 185 for a screen replacement and said they may not even be the issue and there could be something in the motherboard (i think that's what it's called). my friend who has being fixing my phones for years told me it might be the screen or the screen might need to be replugged in. at this point i don't know what to do my friend told me to just replace the screen (i don't know how to do that) which would be my cheapest option. i would take it to apple but i know it'll be prolly over $200 which i don't rly have. what should i do? | Help transferring videos from iPhone to PC Posted: 06 May 2021 09:45 PM PDT I have two long videos (one about 20 minutes long, the other about 8 minutes) that I've been trying to transfer to my laptop. I've tried uploading it to iCloud and Dropbox and transferring it with the Documents app (by Readdle) as well as just dragging and dropping it from the This PC > Apple iPhone folder. Every time I get an error message, usually something about how the file can't be accessed. I can watch the videos on my phone, so I don't think they could be corrupted or anything. | Should I get the iPhone 12 or they 11? Posted: 06 May 2021 12:14 PM PDT I'm 14, and for my 15th birthday I'm thinking of getting a new iphone. I don't really think money's an issue but for the price of roughly about €800 ($964) I could get a brand new sealed iPhone 12 128gb or I could save about €160 ($192) if I was to get an iPhone 11 128gb. For someone of my age would I be missing out on much by getting they 11 instead of the 12? I currently have an iPhone 8 plus and as you know that's a rather large and heavy phone, I've grown to love it. Would It be better for me to say get the iPhone 11 Pro for the size and weight I'm used to for roughly the same price as a standard 12 ? Thanks for the help! [link] [comments]  |

| Posted: 06 May 2021 06:37 PM PDT So I need to get a transcript of the messages off of an iPhone pretty much if that's possible? I have the passcodes and permission from the owner of the iPhone as they want it as well but are completely technology illeterate. Is it possible to somehow get them from the iCloud? Like anything like that? I can get into the phone and all that no problem any help would be appreciated. We need the Information for court to show the extent and amount of harassment that this person has been receiving from another person... Any help at all would be so much appreciated has the only other thing I can think to do is to screenshot messages after messages after messages and that's just a lot of work obviously. -thanks for your time

We've been able to replicate this four times in a row. He sends the pic in chat and my phone restarts ten seconds later. The other friend in the chat also had his iPhone 12 reboot at the exact same time after receiving that pic but it isn't doing that for him anymore. Weird thing is the other friend can send that exact same file and it's fine. No crash. Even weirder is after the reboot, the file my friend sent that caused the reboot never downloads to my phone. He sent a few other pictures around the same time and those all downloaded after rebooting just fine. It would appear my friend has a magic picture he can now send me anytime to crash my phone without me ever interacting with it. This seems pretty dangerous [link] [comments]  |
| Camera stopped working on iPhone 8 (version 14.4.2) Posted: 06 May 2021 01:33 PM PDT Hello everyone, I have a problem with my iPhone camera on iOS 14.4.2 . As I could see this problem is more common than it should be, but I can't find the solution. When I turn the camera on iPhone 8 it shows black screen; front camera works but I can take photo only when the timer is set for 3 or 10 seconds. Also rear camera doesn't work in apps that use camera (IG,Snapchat, Tiktok etc. ) while front camera works normally. Flashlight isn't working too :/ Here are the things that I tried - and they didn't work :(

| iPhone 7 Plus update to iOS 14? Posted: 06 May 2021 10:30 AM PDT I gave my old iPhone 7 Plus with 80% battery to my brother. Since he says battery is already bad on iOS 13.7, he didn't update to 14. That being said, I heard that some serious security problems occurred and devices should be updated to iOS 14.5.1. | Posted: 06 May 2021 10:15 AM PDT Google apparently doesn't understand my question or I'm not wording it right. I want to print a different size photo on my HP printer. When I go into iPhone's photo app & crop the photo to 4x4 & choose the correct settings on the printer, it stills prints a full-sized image. (8x10 paper prints an 8x10 photo). Is it an iPhone specific thing where I need a different app to do this? Why wouldn't cropping the photo on the iPhone & selecting the correct size on the printer be sufficient? [link] [comments]  |

| Switched from 11 to 12 Pro, Music app mixes up album art Posted: 06 May 2021 07:58 AM PDT Running 14.5 and I recently upgraded devices and now my Music app is sporadically showing wrong album art for what is currently playing and in library currently synched to phone. Artwork is 100% correct in iTunes desktop app, but once songs are synched up, the album art for some -not all- are switched around. These are mp3 files from my library, not streaming music. Is this one of those scenarios where I have to delete entire library from phone and resynch, or wait until the next iOS update? [link] [comments]  |

Copying them question Posted: 06 May 2021 01:50 AM PDT So when someone sends me a voice message and i want to copy it and paste it into my Notes app so i can then play it from there (rewind and fast forward), i sometimes see the option to copy the message and sometimes i don't. I don't get this. If you hold onto the voice message a little window pops up. Sometimes it'll show a few options there with the option to copy it and sometimes it just simply doesn't. Any idea why?? | How do I make apps and folders snap back into place after arranging? Posted: 06 May 2021 01:29 AM PDT Every time I move an app from another page onto the first page of my home screen, it pushes the last folder onto the next page. When I drop the new app into a folder on the first page, the last folder stays on the second page and does not snap back, leaving an empty spot in the bottom right corner that I have to manually fill by moving the app forward. It's quite annoying. Is there any way to make it snap back automatically so that I don't have to manually drag it each time? Many thanks.
