I receive most of my iMessages just fine, but as an example one of my friends keep texting me but I don't receive it till like 5 days after they've sent it. I restarted my phone yesterday and the messages between my friend and I were working. Now today after powering off my phone I got messages from them from over 24 hours ago so I received them a day later. Anyone know what to do? Please help!😄 [link] [comments]  |

Posted: 07 May 2021 09:23 PM PDT Hi all, I was using my iPhone XS Max before work earlier when it started crashing. My application icons disappeared, I could not send any messages, and no applications would open shortly after. I reset my phone and it now works fine other than some weird technical things like apps not showing up in search, but there's a message that says: "Important Battery Message Unable to verify this iPhone has a genuine Apple battery. Health information not available for this battery." I have had this phone since 2018 and I've never got any sort of repair, upgrade, jailbreak, etc. so I'm really confused. I contacted Apple Support and all they could tell me was that my battery was ingenuine so unless it's either been ingenuine since I bought it years ago or somebody broke into my house and changed it out, this isn't true. I'm really frustrated and do not want to pay for this thing that seems to be an Apple issue. Is there any way to fix it on my own? Like some sort of hard reset? I'll even take just getting rid of the annoying constant notification at this point. [link] [comments]  |

I was looking at Zillow and all of a sudden a bunch of purple pixel squares started moving all over my screen. I thought it might have been something on Zillow like an ad or a pop up but then my phone turned off right after it happened. Anyone deal with this before? [link] [comments]  |
| iPad not working when not charging Posted: 07 May 2021 09:28 PM PDT iPad 5th gen (iOS 14.4.2) For some reason, my iPad shuts down and doesn't respond to the power button when unplugged. When charging, it boots with the Apple logo as if after a reset. However, the battery icon doesn't show the percentage, only that it's low. It doesn't show the charging icon either. But I installed several battery apps and they all say my battery's full. Also, the charger feels hotter than usual when charging. And if I unplug, even for a second, the iPad shuts down. | Posted: 07 May 2021 08:32 PM PDT My old iPhone 7's Wi-Fi appears to be broken. The SIM card slot was already broken due to a manufacturing error last year. However, I was able to live with that and use it as a side device. Now it's essentially unusable. The worst part is that I have documents on there (nothing very important) on certain apps that can't be transferred over to a different advice. Are there any suggestions on how to fix this? However when reading other comments some people said that they called apple support and their Apple ID was disabled permanently. Is this true? Could it happen? And should I call? Posted: 07 May 2021 09:32 PM PDT I recently recorded a 3-hour-screen-recording but unfortunately, I was shocked to find out that it stopped midway. I didn't get any notification that it stopped or saving failed; I only found out when I was done and it was not recording anymore. I searched on Google how to retrieve it but posts are still from 2019 and I'm not sure if it still works that way. For context, I still have an extra ~40gb on my iPad. But video playback on Netflix or YouTube etc is just fine. And my laptop is brand spanking new it came out last year or so. Dell xps 17 9700. I get 1200mbps so internet isn't the issue. | 2015 early macbook pro software display issue Posted: 07 May 2021 05:15 PM PDT This isn't my main computer, while using it normally I wake up the laptop and suddenly it has a light blue overlay or flutter type thing. It is running Big Sur. Image of display: the issue □ I shut it down □ Start the mac in safe mode □ And the issue is gone □ Then I restart into regular mode □ The issue returns ● I have also tried booting into recovery mode and it's fine there I have tried clearing the smc and NVRAM -Laptop specs are: •Early 2015 macbook pro 13 inch •Core i5 2 GHz •8 gb ram Any help would be appreciated :) TLDR: mac display looks like this but works completely fine in safe mode. | Setting up icloud with pseudonym Posted: 07 May 2021 08:55 PM PDT Hello, I want to set up a new iphone to use under a pseudonym. I guess if I don't use my legal name for my apple id i wont be able to have a credit card linked to buy apps. I wouldn't mind signing up either with my current apple id, that has my legal name or a new apple id that has my legal name as long as I can control and be sure that it won't be revealed when using imessage, facetime or any other app that gets your name from the apple id. For example sometimes. I get calls from people not in my address book and it says "maybe x person." Not sure where this comes from but I don't want something like that happening with this new phone. So my question is what is the best way to do this? If. I can do it reliably using my legal name that would be preferable. If not, is there some way to use a pseudonym for. the apple id and have some sort of payment method like a prepaid card or something? Thanks so much in advance [link] [comments]  |
