| iPhone 11, iOS 14.4.1 Sound issues Posted: 26 Mar 2021 12:45 AM PDT I apologize immensely if I'm in the wrong sub, and/or if I don't explain my issues accurately, but I'm going to try. Okay, I bought an purple iPhone 11 in May '20 and after using it for a bit, the sound, on speaker, AirPods and AirPods Pro's (along with other Bluetooth speakers and wireless earbuds) I began to notice that the sound would pause for a millisecond/skip/dropout. Only less than a second, like you'd bump a CD player and the sound is almost knocked off before continuing without any problems. Still though, it happens; and I have cleaned the small speakers and charging ports carefully (never used water or disinfects spray in any open speakers, ringer on/off, and charging port. I traded in my iPhone 11 for the RED version in February this year, and it's still happening. I have reset, hard reset, updated iOS, cleared my phone of any unused/unnecessary apps, and even tried to adjust the sound in settings, but to no success. Has anyone else faced this issue? All I'm looking for is software that will allow me to plug in and easily transfer music onto and off the phone and make playlists. Bonus if it is able to move voice memos as well. | Random contacts, where do they come from Posted: 25 Mar 2021 04:26 PM PDT Okay so I've had this issue for a year or so, there are contacts in my adress book that are some of my random FACEBOOK FRIENDS usually, that are appearing! Yes I turned off "contacts" for my email and work email. And there is no option in settings or facebook app to turn it off? Where do they come from!? The contact provides me with their name (facebook name though), job, and very often their "AIM" which is their facebook. Sometimes it even adds their phone number! How do I turn the feature off? | iPhone CS taking screenshots on its own Posted: 25 Mar 2021 02:51 PM PDT At one point I HD turned on a setting where tapping 3x on the back of the phone would take a screenshot. I found that most of the time it didn't work so I turned the setting off. I don't remember where in my settings it was (probably somewhere in accessibility). Ever since I turned that setting off my phone will randomly take a screenshot. I checked all the accessibility options & anything that could be related to this is turned off. | Will Apple repair my iPhone 12PM screen? [AUS] Posted: 25 Mar 2021 02:14 PM PDT Hi, so I got my iPhone 12 Pro Max around 3-4 weeks ago from an Optus store and I'm absolutely loving it so far. Camera, performance, battery life is all superb. However when buying the phone I made the stupid mistake of not buying a case or screen protector immediately. Last night, I noticed a couple small scratches on the screen of the phone. One of them is noticeable at certain angles and will cause that rainbow discolouration which can be incredibly annoying when watching videos/movies. It's one of those things where once you notice it, it's really hard to unnotice. When I run my nail over it it gets caught as well. It's been bugging me ever since I discovered it. The second scratch isn't too bad, not as noticeable (unless it's at certain angles) as the other one but still annoying to have. I'm booked in for an appointment at a Genius Bar in a couple days and I was wondering if I'd have any issues getting a repair under Apple Care+ since they're such tiny scratches. Since this morning it has been saying that it's connected to my wifi network and unable to use the wifi to load anything from a webpage, an email, or a Snapchat. I have to be on data to use my phone for any internet-required functions. I have tried restarting my router, forgetting and rejoining my network. Turning wifi off on my phone and back on. Turning the phone on and off again, and doing a hard restart of my phone. Any help would be great, nothing has worked this far. Note: my computer and tablet have both functioned fine on the same network my phone connects to. I have not tried using any other devices such as my tv or Xbox since I've been working most of the day, but so far it's only been my phone that has had an issues [link] [comments]  |

I am a premium user so my music is already downloaded to the app. However, whenever I try playing music on my spotify and start using other apps, it is hard to connect. It says that I am not connected to the internet. I need to disconnect then reconnect, but after a few minutes the problem still exists. I had to stop using spotify for me to be able to use other apps with no problem. Anyone experienced this problem? May I know how you solved this issue. | Using skins/wraps/sticker for iPhone 12 pro Posted: 25 Mar 2021 12:48 PM PDT On all previous iPhones I've had i've wrapped them in a sticker skin for that added protection as I've found that even with a case on, shit still gets in the case and then kind of marks against the phone itself then so my thinking has been that having the extra wrap/skin is the only solution for that. I would get a wrap around the bumper, back, apple logo etc. Is this a bad/good idea? Does the adhesive part give issues after being stuck on for so long? How long is the maximum it can be on for? These are the only decent looking companies in the UK:

Today when I was using my iPhone I accidentally clicked the Power Button 3 times and I accidentally clicked Switch Control (I don't even know why it was there). So I got home and sat down and tried to find a way to deactivate it. First thing I found was a soft reset. So that's what I did. But as it turns out this didn't fix the problem and only made it worse. Now I couldn't tell Siri anything because my iPhone was locked (And I couldn't unlock it) And I have this stupid setting where it doesn't let me connect to my mac without unlocking my phone first. So yeah, I'm sitting here, not having any Switches configured, so I'm not able to control my display and I'm not able to connect to my mac AND I can't tell Siri to activate Assistive Touch. I really hope, there's a way to fix it because I'm getting tired of searching for an answer. [link] [comments]  |

| Posted: 25 Mar 2021 06:05 AM PDT I bought a new Iphone; the 12 pro running ios 14.4.1 And it seems slow compared to my previous XS. Especially editing in iMovie gets a lot of 'stutter', I didn't have this at all on my previous model. Exporting on the other hand in said app is faster, like it should be. But overall, the phone just seems to work a little bit slower opening with opening apps and stuff. Not very, but noticable. Seems weird because the latest model should outperform an XS from almost 3 years ago in every aspect in my opinion. What could this be? Also had to manually download all apps and stuff, there was an error with copying from iphone to iphone and had to reformat a new phone twice before I could use it. Also had some troubles with the thing saying several wifi passwords were incorrect but they certainly were not, luckily it stopped doing that. Quite a few of those files were ripped from old CDs that I simply don't have anymore. Now all that's left of them is on my iPhone. I know there are plenty of third party apps that you can use to transfer music back to your PC/Mac but it seems like they all have paywalls that are ridiculously expensive. | Posted: 25 Mar 2021 05:10 AM PDT So apparently my iphone 7 a1779 has no service hardware fault, which is i guess modem fault on logic board (in anycase their website said i have 4 years to do, but apparently they counted since the first batch of this error). so apple says you cant activate the phone via wifi only (like their damn senior tech in online support said) So is there anything i can do to restore the backup i made locally and on icloud (before they told me to do a factory reset to see if it was this fault, does iphone backups even backup phone states??) ? | Transferring physical sim from iPhone XS to iPhone 12 Pro Max Posted: 25 Mar 2021 03:54 AM PDT Hi I am facing a very weird problem and I can't seem to find a proper answer for the same anywhere on the net, so testing my luck here. I have been an iPhone XS user and i had the dual sim active. Let's say simA was eSIM and simB was a physical SIM. Both were working fine for the past two years with no issues whatsoever. I purchased iPhone 12 Pro Max a few days back. I was able to successfully migrate my eSIM (i.e. simA) from iPhone XS to my latest iPhone. But when I transfer simB from iPhone XS to iPhone 12 Pro Max it shows up as 'No Service'. When I move the simB back to iPhone XS then it works perfectly fine. The weird thing is when I put simB into iPhone 12 Pro Max, even the simA in iPhone 12 Pro Max stops working. That is I don't end up with any network connectivity. The moment I remove the physical sim, i.e. simB, simA becomes active on iPhone 12 Pro Max. I was wondering if there was a problem with the sim pins on my iPhone 12 Pro Max, so i took my wife's sim (lets call it simC) and it worked perfectly fine. No issues what so ever, i.e. simA and simC work perfectly fine. I am unable to fix this issue, no matter which troubleshooting approach I take. Any idea why this is an issue? PS: If I do a network settings reset, while i lose the eSIM configuration? [link] [comments]  |
