- Looking for a needle in a haystack. A game I had on my iPhone about 3-4 years ago... I believe it dealt with themes concerning espionage, authoritarian regimes, cartels, etc. It was more or less card-based. More of what I can remember in body of post.
- Best single player free games.

On the other hand, I don't have PS4, PS5 or Xbox One or X|S. Which controller would you recommend for me to play games on iOS - be it native iOS games that support controller, Steam Link and even emulators? In terms of feature and feel, which one is better? | Posted: 03 Mar 2021 11:42 AM PST So this app was promoted on the iOS App Store somewhere between 3 and 5 years ago. I believe it was developed (or co-developed, or advised on by) some kind of consulting, research, or academic organization that had a lot of experience in international affairs. The gameplay was simple, card-based type stuff, no RTS or rich animations. What was compelling, though, was the strategy involved in the game. There was something like a 4x4 or 5x5 game board of cards, face-down, and you could reveal one at a time adjacent to a card you had already turned over. Certain powerups (I forgot exactly how you obtained and used them) might let you turn over a card elsewhere (i.e., not adjacent to one you'd already turned over), or move you character away from an enemy on the board, or swap out a card (maybe?). You also had to worry about money you had collected, storing it safely, stuff like that (I think?). It was a cool little game that I would love to track down.
