    i'm going on holidays in two weeks, and wouldn't like all of my social medias to broadcast that to the world. any apps that change ur GPS? I wanted to try out Dr.Fone – Virtual Location (iOS) but i am not sure of how it works. Anyone who knows about it or any other app you know please help :D

    Back on the iOS train

    So 6 months ago I had the chance to change up my phone and tablet as my contract had come to an end. I got a Samsung Note 20 Ultra and Tab S7+ to replace my iPhone 11 Pro Max and iPad Pro (old style).

    6 months down the line now and option to change comes up. Frankly, I'm relieved that I'm able to go back to iPhone and iPad Mini 5. There are things I'll miss; 120Hz display (though completely drains the phone battery in half a day!), being able to set notification sounds for each app and ringtones from anywhere, more emulators without having to sideload, but these are all outweighed by just how intuitive iOS is and how much it works across devices and families.

    Best of all, my new plan includes 24 months of Apple TV, Apple Arcade and Music (sadly not News+), so I'm set for content.

    I'm planning on getting an Air 4 as they look so nice and this is going to be my direct replacement for the S7+ which I've still got. I know Samsung have just added functions to work on the phone and tablet together, sending across files and taking calls but iOS had this years ago and, as the saying goes 'it just works'.

    No hate for Samsung, the devices are sleek and look great and perform well (despite battery life), but I just find Android so clunky, especially on a tablet, though DEX mode was pretty nice.

    Mystery iPhone pin code prompt

    iPhone XR, latest iOS. (I've had this happen on my iPad too about a year ago). Had been using my phone, set it down, locked it, went to use the bathroom. Came back and it required my pin to unlock?

    I've searched and came across apple's list of when the pin code would appear. Restarting the phone Update Hasn't been unlocked in 8 hours using faceid

    In both of these cases, there was a possibility that a nosy roommate could have been trying to peep. I really don't know if I'm being paranoid, or if there's a reason that my devices would be asking for the pin code shortly after being used by me.

    Is there a way to see what you're capturing (video) in another display/computer?

    Currently has an iPhone 12 Pro Max, and I want to take some video while in tripod. However, I also want to see what the video is currently seeing (without me going around to the tripod of course). Is there a way to achieve this?

    Bass across Bluetooth

    Alright so to fully understand my issue you gotta know what I have: I have a iPhone 6S for about 2 years now and last year and the year before the bass worked flawlessly.

    Now my phone will have little to none bass over Bluetooth. I'm not sure when it happened but when someone else hooks up their iPhone to the Bluetooth it works great.

    Is it possible to fix it or do I have to buy a newer iPhone? I plan on buying a new iPhone anyways.

    How do I delete all the data from an app on my IPhone?

    iPhone 7, ios 14.4

    I'm trying to delete all the data from a game called "Modern Combat Versus" (though I don't think that matters because the game doesn't have any sort of logging in system save for connecting to Facebook/game centre/apple ID)

    I've done the following so far (none have worked): -Disconnected the app from Game Centre -Disconnected the app from my Apple ID -Clearing cloud backups of the app -Deleting the app from the homepage and reinstalling.

    If anybody has any other methods of deleting data from an app that would help massively, thank you.

    Removing spam from calender app did not work?

    I followed all the steps from apples website about removing spam from the calender app. However this did not work. No sucspicious contacts shows up in settings—>calender—> accounts. Neither in password settings.

    Has anyone else also have experienced this? Any help? Using ios 14.4.

    Background App Refresh on iOS 14.4 (XR)

    I have the setting off, and I'll have two apps open and one of the apps will just refresh for no goddamn reason...it's really annoying, is there any iOS tech to solve this?

    I try to turn on "predictions" in my settings on my iPhone 12. But there are no options to turn either on or off?

    It is when I use the "English" language , but not when I try to write in my native (Danish)

    I have a special section below the picture that says "English" and that one have the predictions. but why can't I have it for my own language?

    Adding PDF from iCloud Drive to Books library

    I feel really dumb by now and just can't figure this out. Please save me. I've got a few PDFs in my iCloud Drive. I want to add them to my books app, so they show up in my library there.

    How do I achieve this? When I select the book in icloud drive and tap share -> books it does open them in books, but as soon as I close the pdf to read another one it's gone from the library and if I want to continue reading I have to reopen it via the files app. What am I doing wrong?

    Accidental AirDrop

    Has anyone else accidentally AirDropped something to someone when reflexively going to send it to the first person in the share sheet and the closest AirDrop pops up just a split second too late? Either AirDrop needs to initiate quicker, or the there needs to be a separate AirDrop section.

    Is it possible to log out of google maps and still be logged in to the YouTube app?

    Whenever I log out of one google app it logs me out of every other google app on my iPhone. I don't want to use google maps with my account but I need it for YouTube. With all this tracking preventing these apps shouldn't even know they co-exist and I'm logged into one of them, should they? There's an option on google maps „use without account" but then the app still remembers my login and I can change it by just clicking on my account without login. This doesn't feel like I'm actually logged out.

    Can I send an iMessage Audio Message to someone I’ve blocked on my phone?

    I by accident sent an audio message to someone I had blocked on my phone. It doesn't say delivered. Does this mean that my message didn't go through? I don't want this person to receive my message, it was a mistake.

    Also, if anyone has any sources on the answer to this, that would be great.

    How would Shortcuts know when you're "about to go home"?

    There's a pre-made shortcut in the gallery that lets you choose music or a podcast to play, opens maps headed to your home, and sends a text to a contact of your choosing. I don't know who would possibly find this useful - someone who listens to the same podcast everyday?

    But my question is, you can choose to "Always run manually" OR "Show this shortcut automatically every time you're about to go home." I understand setting an automation for when you leave the house, probably based on location I would guess?

    But you could be going home from anywhere at anytime, so how would it know you're leaving the grocery store to go home now? How does it know you aren't going to your friend's house?
