I use androids hence the need to do this. The screen says "iPhone disabled, connect to itunes". I don't have my laptop right now so the whole connecting to the computer thing will not work. I don't want the phone activated, I only want to connect it to wifi to use apps that aren't available on android. I don't care if all data is lost either. After I tried to take out the screen I realized I didn't disconnect the battery first. So now the screen has a dark few marks (backlight probably) and the 3D touch is not functioning and the ear speaker is dull. My questions: Do you think the earpiece itself is broken or is it just maybe the flex cable? Will it function if I replace the screen? Or should I buy a new piece? Is the Phone now trustworthy because it may have other circuit damages and can fail anytime? Should I buy a refurbished screen or will some 3D party amazon/ebay retailer do the job? Thanks. so I know Amazon uses some kind of software called cloudfront but I'm very sure that this isn't legit. I randomly checked my daily screen time in the settings and was shocked, it said like 23h DAILY screentime. And this weird application called (random letters).cloudfront has been occupying my screentime, apparently being active in the background all the time. I'm kinda worried now though I know that there aren't any viruses for the iPhone but still... it creeps me out knowing that some kind of software is running in the background all the time. I didn't really find any info about it... I tried googling that weird application and only Pinterest links popped up? I'm so confused. Help would be very very appreciated!!! Thanks for reading! I made sure the website I was logging into, login.live.com was saved in my iCloud Keychain but for some reason it doesn't autofill the password in. If I go to the same irl on safari it works but it doesn't work on the bing app. I'm not sure why this isn't autofilling my password in. I am on an iPhone 12 Pro running iOS 14.4. [link] [comments]  |

This was so damn expensive and I don't even care for the fact that audio capabilities are limited on a supposed state of the art phone (LDAC not available on non-android devices) so I'm not getting what I thought was the best, but what kills me is the sudden stop of functionality of the back camera and flash/flashlight. What is this? Apparently this has happened to people for more than a year or so, but I don't know why my phone is doing this. I hate it and I'm on the verge of just getting a Samsung galaxy just to not have to deal with this anymore. | I’m getting spammed with suspicious links Posted: 08 Feb 2021 05:28 PM PST One day someone said can I call you to a 20 person group and I showed my dad it he replied with "who is this" and now there are gmail accounts messaging me with links in messages of 20 people, I have never clicked one knowing the possibility of a grab ip link, sending the message to 7726 won't work due too it being a gmail and I don't know how to solve it no YouTube videos help. Genius bar or support chat? Also, some of the issues are hard to replicant since it happens at random times. So I'm worried genius bar will just tell me to wait for next software update or reboot phone. The problem is I've gone through a million of the usb dongles that attach the headphones, and every few months, no matter what, they come loose and my music randomly stops playing. I run a lot, with my phone in my pocket. You can imagine how annoying it is to constantly have to push in my headphones every few minutes. Or get static. And I've spent so, so, much money on new dongles. I'm seriously considering getting an Android phone next time. Is there anything I can do about this? Posted: 08 Feb 2021 02:00 PM PST Hi users of iPhoneHelp I was taking some photos for a friend of an electric motor. Turned on flash, hit the 2x zoom, hit the shutter button and the screen froze for about half a second and then the screen went black. No signs of life from the mute switch, or the home button. Battery was still 75%+. No issues with it, can last 3 days if I need it too while still using it. Had 12 hours on the charger and got nothing from it. 2 different cables and charging adaptors. Next step for me I guess is to pull the screen out and disconnect the battery to force the phone to power off and then try soft resets and recovery mode again. But before that I figured I'd ask on here if there's anything else I should try before starting surgery that may or may not do anything. There are some issues when I send someone who uses Google Calendar an invite for an event. The invitation arrives, but when they accept, somehow I am removed from the "attendees" list. As a result, when I update the event the invitee is not notified of this. Posted: 08 Feb 2021 04:01 AM PST I had my IPhone 6 s plus for about 5 years now and by now it is in very poor condition. the camera is jiggling and broken, the battery lasts for about 1hour when max charged, the charger doesn't stay in the charging port and has to be in a certain angle to charge my phone, I can't download the iOS updates I should be able to get, the settings app crashes after 5 seconds of using it and the phone just has many other small problems in all other aspects. My plan is to get an IPhone 11 now, but to save a bit of money I want to get my 6s plus repaired and factory reset in order to sell it for a few bucks. Any advice or knowledge is appreciated! I've talked to my provider about it loads and reset a lot of the settings and got a new SIM but still the same problem. Is it an issue with my phone? Only had it 1.5 years. Usually the first time I turn it on it'll work to load a page and then won't work from then onwards. It can manage spotify most of the time not too bad but struggles with anything bigger. | iPhone 7 disabled itself trying to automatically update during the night Posted: 08 Feb 2021 10:31 AM PST Recently I had got a notification to update to the newest iOS for my iPhone 7, and had disabled auto-updates through my phone. While I was sleeping last night, the phone tried to update itself anyways, and had to connect my phone to iTunes to try complete the update. The update downloaded no problem, but another problem arose when the software was trying to install on the phone, I had got a notification on my iTunes saying that the update cannot be completed, now my phone is stuck at the white Apple screen and the progress bar has been stuck in the same place for over a half hour now. I have no idea on what to try, I was hoping someone on here would have the answers, since Apple Customer Support takes a while to get an answer. Thanks in advance! [link] [comments]  |
