| Anyone Remember This Demo App from iPhones in the Apple Store? Posted: 03 Feb 2021 07:05 PM PST I'm looking for the name of a game that used to be on demo iPhones at the Apple Store. I'd assume the game was widely known if Apple kept it on its phones, but i can't find it anywhere so it might be dead. It was about fighter jets and you'd do missions and stuff. | Why can't i have the iPad keyboard layout on my iPhone? Posted: 03 Feb 2021 11:58 PM PST Hi everyone. Recently bought iPhone 12. I'm a long time iPad user and I LOVE my iPad. Thought I wanted to give iPhone another go. I have come across a problem. Why can't I have the same Keyboard Layout on my iPhone as i can on my iPad!? The ability to drag and pull down on any key to get a Special Character, was standard when i had my iPhone 4. Almost 10 years later, and it doesn't work like that anymore? I've googled and i've googled and i have not yet come up with a way to change my Keyboard to the iPad layout. I really hope you guys can help me, cause i am not at all satisfied with the keyboard on my iPhone. Thanks in advance! DISCLAIMER: I will NOT be using any third-party keyboard apps. I went into settings but couldn't find a way to turn this off. I keep my iPhone on vibrate/silent 90% of the time and the notification from this scares the crap out of me every time. | Posted: 03 Feb 2021 09:48 PM PST i just just upgraded from a 7 to a mini 12 and went to tmobile and they helped me transfer all of my files successfully. However, i tried to backup my icloud on this new phone buy i received a message that said this iPhone cannot be backed up because there is not enough iCloud storage. When i go to my backups, it shows my old phones backup. Can i delete that to make space since its technically already on my new phone? Or is it worth it to update to 50gb? [link] [comments]  |

It seems like a single point of failure to me. Apple keep getting leant on to censor apps. I would have been affected by a lot of app store removals over the years if I had an iPhone. (bitcoin, cloud gaming, encrypted messengers etc) I was wondering: Can I just remotely connect into a phone sitting at home with more apps? If so, do any of those remote connection apps support access to my camera or anything like that for a smoother experience? [link] [comments]  |
| iPhone X reboot loop + charging icon Posted: 03 Feb 2021 07:46 PM PST Hey guys, so my phone was working one second and when I pulled it out a minute later it was showing the Apple logo. The logo stays on the screen for a few minutes, disappears, and then comes back, over and over. Vol up, down, power does nothing except bring it back to the same thing. However, eventually the phone died as I was unable to charge it at the time. Now, if it's not plugged in and I do the reset, it shows the cable telling me to plug it in, but when I do and reset it shows the red charging icon. That remains on the screen for a bit, and then it disappears, comes back, and goes to the apple logo loop shortly after. iTunes/Macbook won't detect the phone so going to restore or DFU won't work. Battery condition was ~85-88% last I checked. The screen on the iPhone X has been replaced twice by Apple for free due to known issues with it, even though it was beyond the warranty, although it currently is on one now due to the last screen replacement 1.5 months ago. Any ideas at all? There are no Genius Bar reservations available at all right now and I have no idea what to do. [link] [comments]  |

| Iphone 8+ IOS 14.3 touch screen issue Posted: 03 Feb 2021 07:20 PM PST Hi friends, this IPhone was a hand me down from a family member and has worked excellent for a year until today. The touch screen has started glitching in the bottom right area (think 'H J K N' keys on the keyboard) Sometimes they don't press at all, & sometimes the iPhone thinks I'm pressing there when I am not. When drawing straight lines on a drawing pad app in this area, the line curves to a single point - think many 'V' letter shapes pointing to a single point. I can upload a screenshot to Imgur but i think I described it well. Its worth noting the phone has a protective tempered glass 'film' over the screen often sold with IPhones here in New Zealand. The issue is so bad that typing this reddit post was as enjoyable as going to the dentist. What do some of you pros think? Should my first thought to be to remove the glass layer protector? | Posted: 03 Feb 2021 11:19 AM PST Sorry if this is a dumb question or if anyone here even knows about this area of expertise! But here's a wild one for you, I'd appreciate any input. I used to keep photos, files, and screenshots of passwords, locked up in a vault app (I know, it's a vault it's not supposed to be broken into.) This app which is named "Vault to Lock Photo & Video" by Easy Tiger Apps comes with a monthly, or yearly subscription, to basically save all of your data on i'm assuming a server, maybe a cloud. Well I can only assume that amidst the pandemic, the developer was did in, because I cannot get into contact with them, or the app support team, and believe me I've tried. My issue is that during a routine phone sweep I accidentally deleted the app, which is not a problem at all I've done it many times before and because of the subscription you can simply re-download, log-in and all of your data just starts downloading into the app from wherever it was stored. The problem this time is that my subscription end was nearing, and when I went to log in and restore app purchases I got the "problem activating premium account" error message. It took me a while to figure out that it seems my subscription payment isn't going through, the one that was sent as an automatic renewal back in October is now listed as "refunded" but, in my AppStore subscription tab it still shows that my account is active until October 2021. I checked all of my card/ payment information and it is all update and working just fine on other apps. I recently tried to repurchase the yearly subscription since Apple won't let you pay for something twice I thought it would get me somewhere, however I got the message "your purchase could not be completed" and the purchase is now pending. So, my subscription is still valid, however I can't get into the app or retrieve any of my data. My question is, is there a way to find out where or how that data was saved for the app? And if so, is there a way to view it? Get it back? Or a way to contact someone who can help since the developer is nowhere to be found? I assume the app is just done for and the developer is no longer accepting payments, that's fine and all, but I still wish I could retrieve some of the passwords and files I had saved. Thanks for any help! And as a side note I have an iPhone XS MAX, running iOS 14.4 and for a very long time I figured that this could be the issue, that the app wasn't updated to work with iOS 14 since that's when it stopped working, and oddly, about a month before my subscription ended....as of now I have a second phone running iOS 13.5 and this phone is the one who allowed me to attempt the new subscription purchase and gave me error codes. My girlfriends father died last summer and she really suffers from it. Now after the most recent update, the voicemails got deleted. One of which was the last voicemail she received from her father. In one YT vid, some dude commented that the metal polish method worked for the graphite color, but I wanna know what you guys think. Has anyone tried this, or maybe another method?
