Note-taking app for work meetings Posted: 10 Feb 2021 08:10 AM PST I use Notability with Apple Pencil and am happy with it. However its missing a feature that I was wondering if any other app has - While taking notes in a meeting, there are a bunch of action items that are discussed. Some are for me and some for my team. Currently, I have to go through my notes again after the meeting, look for those action items and then copy into my ToDo app (I use things 3). This is very time consuming as I take detailed notes and sometimes even Audio only. I would like to be able to quickly highlight/tag/flag/etc any action item that is discussed during the meeting and be able to see all of them together (either in the same note or all collected in a separate note). Ideal example - during the meeting, boss says we should look into xx as a possible solution. I write it down, then copy the text (with iPad's handwriting selector) and highlight it in yellow. A yellow colored dot pops up at the top of the note (maybe in the menu?). At the end of the meeting, I click on the yellow dot and it acts as a filter and only shows me all yellow highlighted lines/text. I copy it or export it into Things app. Hope I was able to explain that clearly. Is there any app that can do something like this? Whats the best solution we have right now? How do you pull out todos from your meeting notes? [link] [comments]

Is the 7th Generation iPad a good choice for someone post-stroke that suffers from aphasia? Posted: 10 Feb 2021 10:19 AM PST Aphasia for him is that he understands things that people say, he can read, but he can't actually say words apart from "fuck." The 7th gen model has touch ID and I think it will be easier for him to open it. I want to get him a spotify account, Netflix, games, and some verbal therapy apps. He'll also be able to FaceTime me whenever he wants (once he learns how). I just want to know generally how accessible it is. I know this might be out of the scope of this sub, but I figured I would give it a shot. [link] [comments]
Looked everywhere - epub reader with apple pencil integration Posted: 10 Feb 2021 11:20 AM PST So the closest to this I've found is KyBook, but when I enable the annotation mode it also starts drawing with my finger as well. Has anyone found a way to easily write on epubs? [link] [comments]
iPad Pro Not Outputting in HDR? Posted: 10 Feb 2021 02:08 PM PST I have an iPad Pro 11-inch 2nd generation and I'm having issues outputting in HDR. The display output settings only say SDR no matter what I do. I know my TV supports HDR because when I plug in my fire stick my tv says its displaying HDR content. I tried three different USB-C adapters, including Apple and Belkin. I tried different HDMI cables, different HDMI slots to no avail. If it makes any difference my TV is a samsung. I even tried plugging into my LG computer monitor that has HDR support and it wouldn't show up there. Any help is appreciated. [link] [comments]
Paper like screen protector damaging apple pencil Posted: 10 Feb 2021 07:08 AM PST So I've got the the iPad air and apple pencil 2 coming in the mail. I also bought a paper like screen protector because I mostly intend to use my iPad for digital art. I've read several reviews about the paper like screen protector wearing down the nib of the apple pencil at a very rapid rate. Can anyone who's had experiences with these products confirm or deny this? I don't want to use this screen protector if its gonna damage the apple pencil [link] [comments]

Drawing Experience Between Different Generations Posted: 09 Feb 2021 04:32 PM PST Hey, I'll be soon getting an iPad Air 4 after some years with the original iPad Pro (12'9/2015). As far as I've seen, this iPad did not have ProMotion (like the new Air), did not have 120Hz and I could not find anything about a laminated screen, but I could be wrong. Will my drawing experience, using Procreate, be any different? Thanks! [link] [comments]
Updating an old iPad past its cut-off Posted: 09 Feb 2021 06:26 PM PST I was wondering if there was any way to update an old iPad past its limit. I have an old iPad that isn't able to go above iOS 9.3.6, but I was wondering if there was any work-around for the limit, like manually downloading the OS from a computer. Any advice/help would be great, thanks. [link] [comments]
Can iPad Pro support a joystick? Posted: 10 Feb 2021 04:44 AM PST I have a 2020 iPad Pro – can a joystick controller be used to influence controls that would usually require gyroscope input, such as tilting? [link] [comments]
Do you use your iPad & iPhone Apps separately under SAME Acc? Posted: 10 Feb 2021 05:38 AM PST So just wondering if there is anybody that uses their devices separately but under 1 account? I'm thinking of using just my phone to play games, and using my iPad strictly for business, such as Reading., writing, etc.. but I'm gonna keep my iPhone iCloud syncing off so I can keep 1 account..I wonder if this works?
