No authorization prompts are given by any device. I went into prefs and it wanted me to login to iCloud again, which I did. The prompts to authenticate continued. How do I get this to stop? Possibly related: Every time I update the OS, screen is unresponsive at "send reports to Apple?" prompt. The cursor moves but clicks and keyboard are ineffective. | How to hard-reset disabled iPhone without iTunes? Posted: 27 Feb 2021 06:08 PM PST Hi, I want to reset my iPhone. I forgot my password, and entered it wrong the maximum amount of times, so now the lock screen says 'iPhone is disabled. Connect to iTunes.' But the problem is, I don't have an iTunes account. I can't set one up now either, since it requires my iphone, which is disabled. I've researched if theres any other options, but they all say i need an iTunes account or some shady program I have to install. Another option is Find My Phone, but I don't have it enabled and don't know how. I'm fine with resetting it, since all my photos and videos are backed up on iCloud, and they're the only irreplaceable things on it. So I'm asking here, is there any way to reset my disabled iphone without iTunes? Its a second generation iPhone SE, if that helps. I also have a computer handy, with a usb port thing. I even resorted to buying a new one & that worked & now i'm having the same problem. I tried restarting everything from my MacBook to my router to the extender. Once this happens any future emails are SMS only. My understanding is that if a message can not go through as iMessage if can go SMS, if the 'SMS if iMessage can't go through' is toggled to 'on'. Or, perhaps someone close is asking me how much I've actually spent on the AppStore (and iTunes for that matter). Luckily, I've kept almost every email from Apple, though their formatting has changed throughout the years, they all have a total price at the bottom the email. | OS X11, boot failure (disk2s1: I/O error) - what tools can solve my disk problem? Posted: 27 Feb 2021 03:55 PM PST To get it out of the way - the last TimeMachine backup is 10 years old. I am trying to get an iMac 18,3 to boot. The machine is stuck halfway through the white on black progress bar. I have tried to reset the PRAM, but that has not helped. I have created a USB stick with the OS X 11 installer, and it mounts if I boot with the option key pressed, so that might be an avenue.... To add insult to injury, I can boot into a windows basecamp partition (but I don't have the password). At least this seems to indicate that the hardware is OK. I am thinking that I might have to go for a disk recovery tool - any recommendations? Or any other suggestions? I need to preserve the data on the hard drive. Thanks for any help! Every time I use my Macbook Pro 15-inch 2015 - running High Sierra (2.8 GHz, 16GB memory) - at least 6 times that day it will go from completely fine to incredibly slow and laggy for at least 5 minutes. This happens maybe once every hour-two hours. I wonder if it's a malware problem, or if my computer is just old. And then after each episode, it's completely fine .... until an hour later.
