| Suspicious IP, suspicious activity detected, help?! Posted: 13 Jan 2021 11:54 PM PST As of recently, I've noticed my phone has been acting weird. Just a few minutes ago I go onto safari and see a pop up (from google) that there has been suspicious activity detected on my phone.... it's been popping up whenever I search. Also, my IP address has been deemed "suspicious" by many apps, and the IP itself seems to have changed multiple times. All I want is at least an explanation as to what is going on, because this stuff is getting weird for me.... if you need to ask any questions feel free to do so I just need help :) [link] [comments]  |

Sometimes my camera works perfectly and other times it shows crazy colors when I open it up and other times it just shows black. This only happens with my rear camera. I feel like this is a software issue because when my camera does work properly there are no issues with the quality of the pictures or anything. I have tried to search this issue and from what I've seen I'm not the only one having this issue. I have tried everything I found (hard reset, reset all settings, power on and off, even restore) Does anyone know how to fix this issue or am I just stuck waiting for Apple to hopefully fix in an update? | Searching for HUD or app that meters screentime Posted: 13 Jan 2021 08:09 PM PST Tried this post on r/iPhone and got booted, so am trying here Prob easy to do, but couldn't figure it out, searching for app or setting that puts a meter in margin of screen that shows how long I've been screening/scrolling with maybe a reminder every 15 minutes or so to help me check endless scrolling...surely that must be a thing but couldn't put what I want in google-able terms. | Upgrade X to 12 or just replace battery? Posted: 13 Jan 2021 07:29 PM PST I'm up for a free upgrade with my carrier in about a month or two and would like to upgrade to a 12 for these reasons: My battery health is at 78%. This is all it now charges to even showing 100%. Should I just upgrade the whole phone and take on the monthly lease options with my carrier (how I've paid for my current phone) and have about the same exact payment, or just replace the battery (and have my monthly payment to my carrier decrease by about $30?). | Posted: 13 Jan 2021 03:08 PM PST I've been having this issue for at least a year. My phone will randomly go down to one bar and lose connection to the cell tower. It's always in a spot where I know t-mobile covers. Turning the phone off then on again always fixes the problem. It started on my old iPhone 6s so I just chalked it up to old hardware but the problem has persisted with my new 2020 SE. Any idea what's going on here? [link] [comments]  |

It's really making my life complicated and I can't figure out for the life of me what to do about it. I thought it was something wrong with the port. I know for sure that the headphones are in perfect working order. I kept telling him the battery health was making me wary, but in the end I agreed. I can't lie, the phone is really nice. I'm loving it. The only issue is the battery health. | iPhone 6s+ screen rotation doesn’t work at all. Posted: 13 Jan 2021 04:31 PM PST I've googled the issue about 10 times hoping to find an answer other than "make sure the rotation lock icon is off". Mine is off, yet still, the only time my phone screen will rotate is if I go full screen on a YouTube video in the YouTube app. But if exit the app, the phone stays locked sideways even though, again, rotation lock is off. My screen should be turning sideways and upside but it doesn't. Am I the only one that has an issue like this? Is there a way to fix it? It's driving me insane. [link] [comments]  |

I did the option where you keep all the data. Now its stuck in recovery mode and asks for a "new password" every time and I put one in and it gets disabled for an hour. | iCloud Data issue when setting up new iPhone Posted: 13 Jan 2021 02:27 PM PST tl;dr, I did iPhone to iPhone transfer from X to 12 Pro, my iCloud seems to think my new phone is a new device and is trying to backup the entire phone again when I try to set a new backup. I just got the 12 Pro, and when I set up the phone last night I transferred directly from my old phone (X) instead of through iCloud. I just noticed that my iCloud (200 GB plan) is full since I was running it close to the max, I can't backup my 'new' phone. My model is the 256gb for both devices, but it's saying if I backup my new device I need another 208GB. Should I have set up the device through iCloud instead of doing the direct transfer? It seems like the phone recognizes the new phone as separate data. The phone is still new, so I guess I could just wipe it and restore again, my old phone wasn't wiped yet so I can make sure the backup is still good and set up the 12 Pro again. [link] [comments]  |

I don't know if the battery is swollen or not so I'm wary about pushing the screen back in with too much pressure. Battery health in settings says the battery is functioning fine though. I've got an iPhone X for 3 years now, and recently I've updated it's iOS to 14.3 (recently it was 13.5, I've waited until now for the OS to stabilize and since I did not find any need to update it yet). One week later, I've decided to replace its battery also, since it was around 79% battery health. I proceeded with that operation but with an aftermarket battery (as it had good reviews, was cheap, and did not find a lot of alternatives for shopping). At first, I tested the battery, and all seemed well. But later, I've encountered different issues happening randomly: - sometimes after I put the phone to charge, and try to unlock it by just tapping the screen, the screen turns on only after a few seconds, and a phone doesn't recharge fully - volume and power buttons respond sometimes very delayed, volumes jumps sometimes to max or min depending on what I pressed - sometimes, the display gets unresponsive (it turns on, but doesn't handle user touches) and the only option is to force restart the phone - suddenly restarts by itself (and sometimes the battery shows 10% afterwards, but it reverts to normal value after another restart) As a side note, I replaced the battery myself, I know there will be comments why I didn't sent it to a service to do this operation, but I wanted to achieve it personally, I'm aware of the risks I took in doing it. I'm interested to know if somebody also had the same issues (and had a solution for them), if they could've been caused by a faulty battery, defective connections, or something else. Thanks! Posted: 13 Jan 2021 12:37 PM PST I recently did a worry free exchange and got a new phone but I had to send it a different state so my brother could get it taken care of. However, the store employee deleted all my files. I had some christmas videos of my kids in there and some stuff i would have rather kept but he apparently deleted the files before transferring it and then felt really bad afterwards.. Is there any way I can recover those files... I'm kinda of in awe that the only job that the guy had, he somehow screws it up. The phone was relatively new (less than a month old) so i didn't have a lot of files in it so i didn't back it up... (although it had more than the free cloud storage which is why it didnt save), and also my brother told me the guys that work there moved EVERYTHING in his old phone to the new phone .. I used it up until around a month ago - everything was working fine except for some common issues such as short battery life. Since then it has just sat in a drawer. I charged it up today to look for an old photo, but it is saying the passcode is incorrect. I know 100% it is correct as I've used the same one for years. I've force restarted it, tried to log into it through iCloud on the PC but it doesn't show the iPhone 6 as being one of my devices anymore. I've also plugged it in and opened iTunes, but nothing happens. Sorry if that's in any way unclear, I'm not very good with technology. I'd be really grateful for any insight/suggestions. Thank you. In late November, I downloaded an app that would help me set up remote raids in Pokémon go. A couple of weeks later, I noticed that a ton of photos from other peoples Pokémon go experiences that I never took or shared ended up on my phone.
