From the first day, when calling up a # with an automated greeting like a bank, airline, or cell phone provider, the greeting cuts off almost immediately and thinks I've either said something or pushed a button on the touch screen. I've said nothing and am not touching the screen. The greeting simply interrupts its spiel and gives an error warning like "sorry, I didn't get that". This has never happened to me on an iPhone before but it's constant now, on multiple and different automated menus. I've tried disabling Attention Awareness and all the Face ID Attention settings. Didn't help. Tried disabling VoLTE. Didn't help. Tried disabling Noise Cancellation. Didn't help. Making a phone call to an automated system with a menu is now virtually impossible, because the menu stops almost immediately after the call connects. The menu obviously thinks I've made a selection, when I've done nothing. It's incredibly over sensitive to something on this iPhone 11 and I have no idea what it is. Would greatly appreciate some help here. Is there some feature on the iPhone you have to disable? Anyone else experience this issue? I called Apple Support and Verizon and both said they'd never heard of this issue and suggested returning the phone or sending it in for repairs. [link] [comments]  |

Everyday I wake up to a nearly dead phone. I have checked the battery app and the only thing I can see using any power at all is YouTube. Does anyone know a fix? If I recplace the home button at a local repair shop would that solve the hotness problem and I do understand that once a home button is replace you can't use ID touch. also I've notice once iPhone is charged and left alone all day on standby by the end of the day the iPhone would be totally dead ( battery health say 100%). I don't have apple care warranty but it has hard ware warranty until October this year. | iphone 12 pro battery draining Posted: 31 Jan 2021 01:26 AM PST i got an iphone 12 pro in december and i noticed pretty quickly the battery isn't amazing. i did everything i could with turning off background app refresh completely and all the other stuff you can do to help save battery. it started to get better, but i've noticed recently that the battery just drains overnight for no reason. when i went to sleep last night, my phone was at 96% (maybe 95%) and when i woke up, it was at 85%. i don't understand why it's doing this because even my previous iphone 8 and 6s didn't drain this bad overnight. it makes me not want to use my phone during the day. does anyone have any advice or reasons why this could be happening? i've spoken to apple a couple times but they're not much help and there are no hardware issues with the phone [link] [comments]  |
| Posted: 31 Jan 2021 01:14 AM PST So I have an iPhone X in pretty much perfect condition. I have the newest iOS update. My problem is my screen constantly dims on me. I have turned off every little setting anywhere on my phone to stop this. I DO understand that when the phone heats up some/more than some it will dim for safety reasons but this isn't the case. This is literally all the time. Phone could have been sitting for an hour and I pick it up (of course I set the brightness all the way up before letting it rest) and the brightness is down to let's say 90%ish looking on the slide bar then I push it up to 100% then go back to anything... let's say safari... navigate to any page and within that amount of time I can go back to the brightness and it will be dimmed down to any amount. It's not consistent at all either. Could be 50%ish or 98%ish or 76%ish or 82%ish etc. etc. I used safari as an example. It could literally be anything. It doesn't even have to be anything. I could just let it sit on the Home Screen for about 15 seconds and it will dim. I immediately push it back up and then it just goes right back down to another random dimming. What could possibly be causing my phone to do this??? I already know there are multiple settings to turn off auto-dimming and like I said adjusted every one of them to try to stop this from happening. Please help!!! [link] [comments]  |
| Posted: 30 Jan 2021 06:44 PM PST Anyone else with a 12- mini, reg., or pro, having issues with your microphone cutting in and out during video chat apps (Marco Polo, FaceTime, videos recorded on the phone, etc. ?) I have seen 2 things online about it so I'm wondering if it's a common issue, and it's just not talked about much online. The other issue I'm wondering if anyone else is having- I am also unable to talk on the phone using the ear speaker. It's crackly, distant, and garbled. I have to put it on speaker phone or use headphones. It is fully up to date and there is no difference in restarts or resets. I'm wondering if I should exchange it for another mini because I got a lemon, or if I exchange it for a different iPhone model entirely. Thoughts? It's under warranty still for sure so I don't mind too much, but I am definitely frustrated that a $1000 phone has been such garbage on the actual phone functionality. [link] [comments]  |

Everything transferred except half of my contacts. | does my phone have malware? pls help me��(iphone) Posted: 30 Jan 2021 10:54 PM PST so about 2 days ago i was on this russian app called vk-social network from the app store and followed a account on it called "malware techno" and someone then told me i have malware now on my phone and he's going to steal my credit card info, i don't recall putting or saving ANY card info on my phone but after he told me i unfollowed the acc deleted the app and i went and reset my whole phone erasing the content about 10 min in he told me(3 times btw, the last one i ended up using no backup and manually downloaded my apps back). he said he can go on my contacts and infect them as well. can they get in? or do they have to send links and and calls to infect the other phones? so far i have expirenced no symptoms of my phone having malware (read on google) except maybe my battery runs out pretty fast but before this even happened it was alrea running out fast because my phone it old i'm probably just staring at it to much. i'm sorry it's so long but i just need answers i'm paranoid [link] [comments]  |

While scrolling on Twitter I've noticed some dark stains on the screen They are barely visible in most conditions but I can see them clearly on apps with dark UIs or while watching videos with dark scenes (cf video https://we.tl/t-lvAOFPJjUU) I suspected those were underneath my screen protector but they're still there after its removal... I've had the phone for a month, never dropped it or anything, so I was quite surprised and disappointed to find this out... Did anybody face the same issue? Do you think I can have that repaired? I can Airdrop from my Mac to my iPhone, but I'm trying to Airdrop a video from my iPhone to my Mac and it just keeps saying "Waiting" and then nothing happens. I've tried everything including restarting my phone and laptop, updating them both, turning wifi and bluetooth on and off. Nothing is working. I'm so frustrated! | iPhone 12 Pro Screen, Mic, and Charging problems Posted: 30 Jan 2021 09:04 PM PST I bought a gold iPhone 12 Pro launch day and it's been perfect... Almost. Often times on brighter high contrast screens the screen appears to have horizontal lines. Think back to pointing a digital camera at a CRT TV, but visible to the naked eye. I have videos on my old phone. I almost exclusively wirelessly charge, and when I take a call on speaker phone whilst charging, my microphone is transmitting literally nothing until taken off the charging pad. I've confirmed this with many peoples phones and on my occasions. Lastly, my phone will just randomly chirp and vibrate indicating it's charging. I even saw the battery turn green for a few frames. I know all this is under warranty. The phone doesn't even have 3 micro scratches yet. I really baby this thing but it's unfortunate I'm gonna have to live with these until apple stores open up again near me. Or I'm gonna have to be without a phone for 3-5 days while I send it in. Posted: 30 Jan 2021 05:41 PM PST Recently a faint red line had appeared around my screen and I'm just a little confused/concerned about why it's happening, I use dark mode but when I'm on a website with a white background then move to an app with a black background it appears! And sometimes it's really bright red. All tech stores around me are closed and I just would like to know if anyone knows what it could be? Thanks a million! When I'm scrolling through Facebook it'll often stop whatever music I'm listening to. This happens even if I'm not clicking on a video or even when there's no video currently in my feed. | iphone xr boot loop after restoring Posted: 30 Jan 2021 04:34 PM PST so basically i was in the shower and i dropped my phone in there and the phone was never repaired before this incident that happened in the morning,but everything was find until i was on call with my girlfriend for about 9 hours (please dont ask why😂) and then randomly my phone shuts down n goes into a boot loop and this was right in the night at 12am so then ive tried everything and nothing worked ive tried force restart and that didnt work i tried restoring and when it was successfully restored it went back on to a boot loop straight away so if u have any help or some sort of aid it would be much appreciated. Sometimes there will be 3 in the space of a new minutes.
