    Desktop Safari mode on iPad

    I was under the impression that the default mode for Safari on iPad is to view sites in desktop mode and so should be no different then viewing on my laptop. However I've encountered a couple times where a site just doesn't load aspects of the site making it unusable but it works smoothly on my MBP. Am I missing something or is it just some software that isn't available on the iPad?

    Malware/virus/clean up for Older iPad (iOS 10.3.3)

    Can anyone recommend an app, program, product, etc. to help protect/clean up an older iPad? I have a 4th generation iPad (iOS 10.3.3) that is basically only used for online streaming but the ad blockers, virus scanners, etc. require a higher operating system.

    iPad Air 4 cover choices

    Hi all,

    So I went with an imitation cover from Amazon:

    I find it to be pretty flimsy. The magnet doesn't hold very well. Is the magnet on the Apple version any better? I'll spring for the extra if it doesn't constantly collapse when I touch it or move it.

    Can I put a video on the iPad home screen?

    To expand upon the question. I need to make sure that a video I have is accessible without the internet on the iPad. Currently the video is downloaded on the appleTV app, however, I was wondering if there is any way I can put a shortcut of that video on the iPad home screen? Thank you.

    Is anyone else having an issue with Chrome and using gmail?

    I've deleted and reinstalled the latest chrome but everytime I go to login to gmail whilst in chrome (not using the seperate gmail app) I get an error saying my browser is unsupported or too old and that I need to use the HTML version. Is anyone else having an issue like this?

    Apple Pencil 2 problems

    Hello! I just recently purchased an IPad Pro 2020 (I've had it for like three weeks) and was gifted an Apple Pencil 2. I had no issues for the first few weeks but my pencil stopped working yesterday. I have tried disconnecting the pencil, "forgetting" the device, restarting my iPad, trying different apps, etc. Every time I connect the pencil magnetically the little bubble pops up with the amount of charge (100%) and I can see the same thing on my widgets. My iPad is registering that the pencil is connected but when I touch the pencil to the screen nothing happens. I have also connected my airpods so there isn't an issue with the Bluetooth connection. I spent about an hour on the phone with Apple support and got nowhere- any suggestions or ideas???

    Magnet free iPad Air 4 case?

    Anyone know of a good case for the iPad Air 4 that doesn't have a magnet? My mom has a defibrillator and she doesn't want to have to worry about having her iPad too close to the defibrillator. Thanks in advance!

    Is there a way to see crash logs?

    I was recently using Safari when my iPad rebooted. It wasn't just Safari that crashed, it was the whole iPad. I know it was the was the work of that malicious website I was viewing, and I'd like a more detailed explanation as to what exactly caused the crash. The best way to see that would be some kind of log file. Is there a way to see that?

    Case is Disabling/Interfering with Palm Rejection

    I got a case for my iPad Pro 12.9 inch and as soon as I started using it, I noticed the palm rejection wasn't working properly (when I write it creates streaks if my palm is touching the screen), basically making the iPad unusable for writing notes. When I took the case off, the issue was solved. I'm using the 2nd gen pencil is that matters.

    Has anyone experienced this as well? Any solutions?

    I have a cable which supports fast charging on my Samsung Galaxy phone. I bought it 3 months ago for 5$ and been usibg ever since. Never had problem with it. Should I use it on my iPad too?

    Mendeley and apple pencil

    Hi, I'm using mendeley in my iPad and I'd like to take notes with the apple pencil and not only highlight the text. Is there any possibility to do that? Are there other options to take notes and link them with Mendeley?

    IPadOS fixed my RAM management problems.

    For the past few months, my 9.7 inch iPad 2018 had horrible RAM problems. I couldn't run OneNote and Files app side-by-side without the file in the Files app closing every few minutes. I couldn't even open multiple tabs if I had a zoom meeting running in the background.

    Now, I can do both of those with zero problems. It was infuriating these past months and I was waiting eagerly for an update, and thankfully it's fixed.

    What's not fixed: iCloud Drive on Files. Actions happen like 15 seconds after I touch them. I can ONLY open folders, files refuse to download. I get an error message saying "Couldn't communicate with the helper application. Try your operation again. If that fails, quit and relaunch the application and try again." This problem has been there for several weeks now.

    I capture lots of gameplay and 4k video with my camera, which takes up lots of storage on my iPad when I need to edit it. my iPad is only 256gb and I do have iCloud but it takes awhile to transfer to and form iCloud

    iPad 8gen resolution 2160x1620 what?

    It looks great but it squeezes video real tiny like especially Netflix. In YouTube you get the 2160p option for resolution but on Netflix you only see "HD" but what does that mean 720p, 1080p, 2160p? I have no way of knowing. What kind of resolution is 2160x1620? It's confusing, the only thing that supports that resolution seems to be YouTube why would they do this?
