| Do you think apple will improve the iPads external monitor support/multitasking? Posted: 30 Jan 2021 06:37 AM PST I've been thinking of what to upgrade from my 2nd gen 12.9 iPad pro, of course the new iPad pro was on the top of my wish list, but after seeing reviews of the Samsung tab S7 I had started having second doubts. The multitasking and external monitor support on the tab is leagues above of what the iPad offers. And I wonder why? I have seen people say Apple just wants to keep the macbooks and iPad separate devices, but for a "pro" device these things should come standard. I would love to see these enhancements in the next iPad OS update. Has there been any word or rumor on that? What do you think? [link] [comments]  | ||
| Does the original iPad 2 not support iCloud Drive? Posted: 30 Jan 2021 12:08 PM PST When the iCloud drive app opens, it shows the space available on the iCloud and that's it. Does not load any file (connected to the wifi and rebooted to check if that helps. It didn't.) Does that model not support iCloud Drive anymore? The OS version is 9.3.5 (13G36). I am also concerned about putting too much pressure on my iPad so as to not break it while writin. So, what would be the ideal surface on which you would generally keep it while taking notes on it? About 6 years ago I think I had an iPhone 5, and that is the only other piece of Apple tech I've owned. My question - if I log in to my new iPad with my old Apple account, what comes across in terms of content? Will I see all my old apps? How about my messages? There is stuff I was into at that point in my life that I'm out of now. This new iPad is going to be a shared device, and I don't particularly want my family seeing my entire app store or message history. Is it better just to make a new Apple log in? I try to connect it with my MacBook. When I use the same account (AppleID) on iPad and Mac everything works great via cabel. The problem is that I use different accounts on both devices. Used 8th gen iPads cost the same on eBay as they would cost new on the Apple store. Even 2 year old models are selling at prices which are comparable to latest models. | Weak magnet smart keyboard folio on iPad Pro 11? Posted: 30 Jan 2021 01:45 AM PST So I dropped my iPad Pro 11 yesterday. It was on the side sleeve of my backpack, so the height was not huge, but it was enough to make 2 small dents on the corners that hit the ground. It also sent the Pencil rolling meters away. Afaik, it still works perfectly. No bends or cracks. Screen 100% responsive. However, I did notice that the magnet on the keyboard side of the smart keyboard folio (the one that closes against the screen) is much weaker. I used to have to put some strength to open it before, and now it falls open if I hold the iPad upside down (the back side is completely fine though). My question is: Could it be that the fall damaged/weakened the magnets in the keyboard, or maybe it weakened the magnets on the iPad itself? Has anyone experienced this before? | What’s the best note taking app with the Magic Keyboard? Posted: 29 Jan 2021 04:54 PM PST I've always used GoodNotes with my Apple Pencil, but it isn't great with the Magic Keyboard. I'm looking for something that transitions between the pencil and keyboard a bit more smoothly. I use my iPad for a lot of math classes and I would like something where I could type my notes and draw things on the page. Any suggestions? [link] [comments]  |
