3rd party remote doesn’t wanna connect. I have a Apple TV 3rd gen. I tried the remote thing on my phone doesn’t work because I need to put a pin so I’m stuck can someone help me !
I currently have a fuboTV, and I am aware the app is much much better on Apple TV. My problem is, I’ve heard the new Apple TV remote is trash, and I really don’t care for touchpad remotes at all. So my question is, is the remote that bad? Can I use older generation remotes?

Every month for the past 4-5 months they've emailed me to tell me that I'll be receiving a $4.99 credit for the month and now I just got an email saying that I get it through June.

Are they that desperate to maintain users/viewers? I'd assume more people are experiencing this too then so wanted to check and see.

AppleTV App vs AppleTV Device

I've been trying to track down a comparison of features between the Apple TV app (say on a Roku or built into a TV) compared to using the Apple TV device. Does anyone know of such a list? Or perhaps what some of the major differences would be between the two?

I did my updates yesterday. I have only one HDMI connected to the TV and that is the Apple TV.

When I turn my Apple TV, the TV turns on. Good.

When I sleep my Apple TV, the TV does not turn off, black screen with HDMI connection comes. Not good.

What should I do?

Can AppleTV remote control separate devices for power and volume?

I'm considering a move from Roku over to Apple TV (which, admittedly, I'm hoping for a new model of to be released soon).

With the Roku remote, I can set the power and volume buttons to work on my TV. Unfortunately, that means any external speakers would have to be connected via CEC/ARC for the volume change to carry over. My speakers are connected via an optical cable, so that's a no-go for me.

With the Apple TV remote, can you set the power to work for the TV, and then set the volume controls to work for a separate receiver/soundbar that can be controlled via IR?

Twitch app audio/video desync

For a while now, I've noticed an audio delay/desync between video and audio on the official Twitch app for Apple TV. No other app is desynced, only this one, by at least 1 sec. I tried reinstalling the app, but the desync is still there. Anyone else having this problem?
