| iPhone won't turn on but with cable Posted: 23 Nov 2020 08:45 PM PST i dont know what happened to my iphone 7 it shuts down when i try to remove silicon case and shuts down on slightly shake. after it shuts off iphone acts like dead, after i press the power button, nothing shows up even i tried many button combinations from internet but nothing worked, when I connect my cable iphone get turned on sometimes, but the issue is still there when i pull my phone from pocket it acts dead. i dont know whats this, i have changed my battery to there cant be nothing regarding battery. if you have any solutions tell me please im done?? One only sends iMessage and doesnt let me call it only facetime. The other only sends texts and only lets me call it, no FaceTime. It sends duplicate text messages too, either both from the same number or one on the first and then a duplicate on the second. What is going on? [link] [comments]  |

My phone keeps annoyingly resetting my volume to a lower level as it thinks it's connected to Bluetooth headphones but it's actually connected to my car audio! It's the auto volume lower that is supposed to limit high volume to protect your hearing. Any thoughts? [link] [comments]  |

From my computer I transferred some purchased music on my iphone and each time that I try to play any explicit song it doesn't start and for some time it blocks everything, taking too much time to play the music and to respond to my "actions". I restored the iphone twice and just for some hours after it works well, then the problem reappears and I don't really know what to do. No notification on Lock Screen, but when I open my phone, sure enough there are texts waiting. Let me know if there's a better place to post this...but wondering if anyone has experience with this! iPhone 8. Software updated 14.2. I can search for all texts in the iMessage search function and find corresponding previews based on my keywords. However, I can only click and see texts that are 10/1/17 and on. I can see previews of texts 9/30/17 and older, but as soon as I click on them they bring me to the most recent texts. However, I have one random group family text that's just from 2015 I can easily click into so it seems like just a search issue. Why do I care I can't go farther than that? Just a gal trying to find some sweet texts my fiancé sent me May/June 2017 when we were just dating. It would just be fun to see the things we used to text each other in the beginning stages. If I can screenshot any or save some I want to. Then you know...turn off my forever saving texts because I'm also cleaning up my phone in general, hence me finding a random old 2015 family group text. Been toggling Siri on/off, toggled my iMessage functions on/off. Did a restart. Made sure all software was up to date. [link] [comments]  |

Whenever I go home from an app, especially when doing something reasonably intensive, such as loading a webpage or loading content or scrolling, the phone drops half a second worth of frames when going back home. | Posted: 23 Nov 2020 06:16 AM PST I had a locked note, that I always used Face ID for, so I don't remember my password. When I updated to iOS 14 it turned off the setting to use fave is for notes. When I connect my iphone 8 to a pd charger, or an Apple 20w charger, it always charges at 12w. Quick researching told me I should be able to reach 18w. I tried 3 pd charging bricks, which all support over 18w, and 3 different cables from anker and 2 aftermarket ones. No combination has been able to give me the full 18w. What could be the problem here? (Testing method: Mister Battery) Could it be the battery health, the app, or even the phone itself? [link] [comments]  |

Posted: 23 Nov 2020 02:11 AM PST My mum and I have been sharing the same Apple ID for some time, but now I've decided to create a separate one for myself. As my phone currently uses the old Apple ID I shared with my mum, I tried to sign out and replace it with my own, but when it asks to keep a copy of the data on my phone, for some reason the only available data to keep is from Stocks, even though my phone is already filled with photos, contacts, messages, apps, and music. I'm worried that by signing out of the old Apple ID I'm going to lose all my data and contacts, which would obviously not be good. Is there a way to keep all my data in my phone when I sign out? Why does it only allow me save data from Stocks and not all the other data that I have on my phone? My phone is currently running on iOS 14.2. [link] [comments]  |
