- Trying to update iPhoneSE to iOS 14.1 from 13.5.1. I have over 2gb of free space on the phone, but when I try to update via my iMac I get this error "Updating to iOS 14.2 requires at least 975.2 MB of free space on your iPhone. Please change your media sync options to make more storage available."

| iMessage randomly reorders on iPhone Posted: 06 Nov 2020 06:54 PM PST Hello! I am sorry if this is a but confusing but I have been having issues with my iMessages. Recently my texts randomly get reordered and all of the sent messages are displayed at the bottom and the received text messages are above at the top of the thread. This happens once every few weeks and then fixes itself. I know it's a very small issue but i don't know why it keeps happening and it seems like it's only happening to me. | Posted: 06 Nov 2020 09:22 PM PST hey everyone so today i was showering and i put my iphone in the sink with my shirt under it.. i was showering and then after i went out my phone had low charge already so i thought let me charge it and then i get the pop up liquid decteccted in container or soemthing like that, so i ofc removed the charger but then i reconnected it again cus i saw another option override soemthing i didn't know what override is so i pressed it but then i saw a vid and it said that override means to ignore the situation.. i didn't know that. So i left the phone to dry for 15 min but there was no liquid anywyas. And then i connected the charger and the warning didn't pop up. Does that mean my phone is okay? I want to know how they did that and how to successfully block then entirely. I don't know if this helps, but in the messaging app, it shows they are not on an ios device. [link] [comments]  |

I've tried to creat a new contact through the text message app, and it won't save. It would still say their phone number as their name, even though in the little circle next to it, it had their first initial. When I went to my contact list on my iPhone, it said all of the names were in there. I deleted the contact, and tried to manually put in the phone number and their name through the contacts app. When I added everyone, it would work for about 1 hour then it would go back to say their phone number and their initial in the little circle. If not, is there any font alrering app recommendations that allow you to have autocorrect functionality? MORE INFO: Hey everyone, This is a small but tedious process for me, as I am an android user, but an older coworker of mine needs some help with her Iphone. Her request is to change her text color and her message board to purple. With a little bit of googling I found a way to change the colors but its more for people with color blindness and affects her whole layout rather than just her keyboardand font color. If he'd set a password or changed any settings, he would remember. Onto the issue, though. What I've got is an iPhone showing the multi-language "hello" slideshow on the lock screen like it's just had a major update, with a password set when it didn't have one yesterday, that disables itself for 5 minutes on an incorrect password entry when that's never been the case in the past. What the hell is going on, and how do I fix it? Edit: I'm dumb. It just set a default password after an update. For anyone with the same issue, default six digit's 123456, four digit's 1234. | iPhone won't give me the option to delete Photos? Posted: 06 Nov 2020 05:39 AM PST Hi, I'm running an iPhone Xs on iOS 13.7. This problem came up when I went to update the phone to iOS 14.2. I got this phone in Jan. of 2019 with a Verizon contract. Photos take up about ~16 GB on my 64 GB phone--this despite the fact that I use Google Photos regularly to "Free up space", and am always sure to clear the "Recently Deleted" album as well. When I go to Photos -> Albums, there are only about 100 pictures in the Recents and most of the other albums are totally empty as well. But when I go to Photos, there are 16k+ photos going back years. When I try selecting all of them, it says, "Do you want to delete these items or remove them from this album?" The only option it gives me is to "Cancel"; it won't let me actually delete them. Anyone know why this is? I have iCloud Photos turned off, and I've already deleted the corresponding photos on my Mac. I saw that the program CopyTrans Photo exists, but even if it is the sort of thing I'm looking for, it seems rather expensive for what they offer. Surely there's a free solution to this? EDIT: Wanted to add that my iPhone connection to computer doesn't work for whatever reason (I suspect both of my Mac's USB ports are messed up), so any solutions that involve trying to delete them via iTunes haven't worked for me. | Posted: 06 Nov 2020 12:29 AM PST My wife has dropped her iPhone XR multiple times and the screen will do double text/images just below the actual one, there is a big black splotch in the middle of her screen and I was hoping to see if it is possible to fix or if we should just cut our losses on it and get a new one.
