- My girl’s iPad Air 4’s battery life is excellent! Brightness adjusted to 40-60% depending on room light. (Mainly pen today and about an hour of magic keyboard). However, playing Minecraft on max settings did drop battery from 62% to 50% in 35 minutes. Either way, 9.5 hrs of use only dropping to 46%!

AppleCare about to expire. Is there anything I should take advantage of? Posted: 04 Nov 2020 07:46 AM PST My mom has an iPad Pro 2018 and her AppleCare is set to expire next month. It runs great still, but I'm wondering if there's anything I should get Apple to 'fix' while it's still covered under her AppleCare. Possibly replacing the battery or something? It's our first experience with this so I'm just looking for some advice, thanks! [link] [comments]
Using Apple Pencil (gen 1) without a cap Posted: 04 Nov 2020 11:32 AM PST I haven't lost my pencil cap, but I hate having to take it off every time I have to charge. If I keep the ipad and pencil in a case, do I really need to have the cap at all? [link] [comments]

Posted: 04 Nov 2020 11:32 AM PST Hey guys, I am interested in purchasing a magic keyboard case for my iPad Pro and was wondering how it has held up for all you day one users. I've heard it's made of the same materials as the Smart Keyboard folio which does not hold up well at all. Is this the same for the magic keyboard? [link] [comments]
Posted: 04 Nov 2020 06:25 AM PST Hello, so I had these iPads for more than a week and I have noticed that one iPad charges slower compared to the other. I contacted apple support regarding this issue and they advised me to update it to its latest OS and some troubleshooting steps to see if it will fix the issue. I followed their suggestion but the problem(iPad charges slower compared to the other) is still there. I did some research about battery health and saw it here that 3utools/iMazing are the one's that can show the iPad's battery health. So, I checked the iPad's battery health on 3utools. The iPad that's charging slower has a battery life of 100% and the one who's charging faster is at 84% battery health. How is it possible for the iPad(84%) to have a decreased battery health if both have almost identical usage. Can I still have it's battery replaced by apple because it's still under warranty? And does 3utools/iMazing void the iPad's warranty? Thank you so much :) [link] [comments]
Does the 2016 9.7” Smart Keyboard work with other iPads? Posted: 04 Nov 2020 09:06 AM PST The model number on the old keyboard is A1772; I don't know if it's different for the new(?) one. Has anyone tried using the old Smart Keyboard on the latest iPad? Does it work? How's the fitting? The current Apple Store listing for the Smart Keyboard says it's compatible with iPad 7th & 8th generation, iPad Air (3rd gen), and iPad Pro 10.5". There are slight dimensional differences compared to the first gen iPad Pro 9.7", specifically (ignoring depth): Latest iPad: 0.4" (8.9mm) longer, 0.13" (3.2mm) wider iPad Air 3rd gen: 0.07" (1.9mm) narrower iPad Pro 10.5": 0.47" (10.6mm) longer, 0.18" (4.6mm) wider The iPad Air 3rd gen appears to have the closest fit, but the latest iPad looks very appealing for an upgrade; it would be nice if I could continue using my old keyboard with it, even though it seems like it won't be a perfect fit. Posted: 04 Nov 2020 09:52 AM PST What is everyone using to protect the outside of the magic keyboard? I know the material is known to wear a lot over time, so I am trying to find a way to keep it as preserved as possible without ruining it. Also, for cleaning the keys and trackpad, would water and a mild cleaner work, like Apple suggests for their silicone cases? [link] [comments]
An app with the organisation level of OneNote and native API of Apple pencil would be best. Posted: 03 Nov 2020 10:04 PM PST I've been using one note since it came out. It works well across all my devices. I use android and windows too. The organization level of notebooks, pages, section feels very natural to me. However the app feels quite unpolished in iPad. It crashes, lags and the writing is not good at all. Out of all apps I like native notes app best for writing and diagram which feels more fluid than any other app out there. Is there any way to incorporate it? Maybe there's some obscure app which has similar function to this. [link] [comments]
Posted: 04 Nov 2020 09:43 AM PST Hey guys I ran into a problem with my Benq ex3203r, it has a usb c port for Display in. It works fine with my macbook pro and it used to work fine too with my iPad Pro 12.9'' 2018. But after iOS 14 it just doesn't work anymore. What I have tried already: - Restore my iPad -Unplugging the cables -Resetting my monitor -Changed cable directions What happens when I plug it in: A blue connection cable sign shows up on the top right of the iPad but disappears after few seconds. The monitor says no signal. I don't think the cable is the problem because it connects with my macbook just fine. And the usb c connector of my iPad works fine too, when I use a adapter and with hdmi it works. Can anyone help me or has/had a similar problem? [link] [comments]
Posted: 04 Nov 2020 03:34 PM PST I tried to get this done at a local store and they said they could do it but there was a huge chance of the screen breaking, especially since its a bit dented. If I send it to apple to do will they definitely be able to do it without the screen breaking? It's not covered by warranty. [link] [comments]
Is it safe to use an iPad in the bath? Posted: 04 Nov 2020 11:03 AM PST Hi All, New to iPad. Looking at the new iPad Airs. One potential use is reading in the bath. Is this safe? I'll be holding it above the water so I don't need anything that needs to be submerged during use but if I accidentally drop it and it is submerged for 10 seconds or so, would it survive? I know my iPhone will survive a brief dunk but not sure if this has made it to the iPad line. I don't see anything in the online specs so I am guessing no but thought I would double check here. Thanks. [link] [comments]
Anxiety from 64gb of storage on iPad Mini Posted: 04 Nov 2020 10:07 AM PST I purchased the 64gb model roughly a month ago and is my first time having any IOS device or anything close to something this nice, computer wise. it lead me to downloading graphic intense games to test the A12 bionic. This iPad turned me into a mobile gamer haha I caught myself having to delete older games for new ones and vice versa. I also have quite a few pics. Is it possible to store my photos and data to a USB to lightning storage? [link] [comments]

How often / to which point should I charge the apple pencil 2 to avoid it getting broken? Posted: 04 Nov 2020 07:58 AM PST In the end of september 2020 I got an iPad pro and an apple pencil 2 which I have been using daily for drawing and writing. Last weekend I used it until the battery of the pencil was at 0%. This had happened to me 1-2 times before in the month of owning it and I didn't think anything about it. I immediately (!) put it onto my iPad to charge and then forgot it and only removed the pencil from the iPad 12 hours later. Since then, the pencil hasn't worked anymore. I tried everything, including removing the pencil in the bluetooth settings to reinstall it, but I couldn't get it to reconnect anymore. I sent the pencil back to the shop now to get my money back and my new one will arrive tomorrow. Usually the battery always has been between 60 - 95 % and I didn't put it onto my iPad if I didn't actually want to charge it. Did I do anything wrong with my first pencil or is it normal for it to be damaged immediately after going to 0% for three times in the span of 1 month? [link] [comments]
