But to watch HDR10+ content on Amazon Prime Video I have to use the internal Samsung Prime app while the amazon Prime Apple app only supports hdr 10 but no hdr10+..... [link] [comments]  | ||
| Apple TV 4K and 4:4:4 chroma.. Posted: 24 Nov 2020 02:32 AM PST So I'm trying to get everything setup with my new Nakamichi 7.2.4 system. I had to do some hard resets of all my devices. When my Apple TV reset it erased all of my video settings I had previously. I'm pretty sure before I had 4:4:0 chroma selected with no issues when I was running directly to the TV. But now with the device going through the soundbar first, I tried selecting the 4:4:4 chroma and when I did my picture started blanking out every couple of seconds. Made the device totally unusable. I was able to switch it back to 4:2:0 and it doesn't do it on that. Thoughts? Is it really necessary to have it on 4:4:4 since it seems to be causing issues? [link] [comments]  | ||
| How I fixed all my mDNS / BounJour / AirPlay problems Posted: 23 Nov 2020 04:23 PM PST In case this helps anybody ... I was having extremely annoying problems with anything using mDNS / BonJour: AppleTV remote / iTunes remote iPhone apps, AirPlay audio to two AppleTVs, Airfoil Satellite, network volumes, etc. I have a 2.4Ghz guest network configured on my ASUS router specifically for stupid hardware doo-dads that can only do 2.4Gz. None of my devices aside from my iPhone have ever connected to it, or are even aware of it (hidden SSID.) I turned it off a couple weeks ago, and all things mDNS have been rock-solid ever since (my AirPlay devices used to disconnect en-masse in some kind of consensus freak-out at least 3 times a day.) Turning it off was a random thing to try, the problems didn't start right after I configured it, but began to accrue gradually over a year or so, and got markedly worse after the last iPhone software update for some reason. Posted: 23 Nov 2020 05:54 PM PST My family is looking to purchase a Disney+ subscription through the AppleTV+ app. I know that outside of purchasing through the Apple app, Disney plus is offering a bundle which includes Hulu and ESPN plus in the bundle as well. Is it possible to get this bundle through the Disney+ channel on AppleTV+? | Sluggish, unusable remote/Bluetooth game controller after reset/update of ATV 4K Posted: 23 Nov 2020 05:55 PM PST Anyone else have a similar issue? I had to reset the Apple TV in order to fix the "problem with Apple Music" issue on my HomePods. I chose "reset and update," because why not. It fixed that issue, but consequently caused the Siri remote to act sluggish. I un-paired and re-paired the remote, didn't fix it. Unplugged Apple TV, turned it back on, and now at least the Siri remote is working fine. But my PS4 DualShock controller, which worked beautifully until yesterday, is still sluggish and unusable for Apple TV games. Tried un-pairing and re-pairing, no dice. Tried a full reset on the Apple TV, still no dice. Un-pair and re-pair again, no dice. Anyone have recommendations? [link] [comments]  | ||

I'm looking for something that is customizable, robust, and functionally and aesthetically pleasing. A dream platform would be something that's a mix of Grafana and the interactive lobby kiosk's that you find in hotels. Some of the features/data I'm looking to have visible on the dashboard would be:

Files that used to play normally will either not work - or when I pause/scrub, the file no longer plays. I'm forced to close the Computers app on my Apple TV and watch via VLC. I only bought this Apple TV 4K 2 months ago so it's still under warranty. But this only happens with my personal content/downloads. No ability to force DFU restore on this model. Any advice? I feel like gathering all services I subscribe to in one app is a good idea. My problem is that most of the time, the Apple TV-app is listing shows and movies from services that I don't subscribe to. Sometimes ones that are not available in my region. Is it possible to hide/remove certain services so that I only see what I have access to? For me a few things : •better audio - there needs to be something in the works that standardizes audio for apps and allows for higher quality audio, and I mean more than just atmos •better tracking of content and media •system wide profile that links with in app profile Thoughts ?
