| No Atmos on Netflix w/ Sonos Arc Posted: 05 Nov 2020 04:02 AM PST Hi everyone! I just received the Sonos Arc. It's connected to my Philips 65PUS7304. The TV seems to bypass (lossy) Atmos watching shows on Apple TV+. In the Sonos Arc it says „Atmos" and my TV also shows an Atmos-Badge. Watching a show on Netflix doesn't play in Atmos (no badge on Sonos App or TV) even though it's an Atmos-show. Does anyone have an idea? Thanks and stay safe! [link] [comments]  | ||

| Posted: 05 Nov 2020 04:20 AM PST Evening all - I have a appletv 4k and just recently if I pause a movie or TV show on either Netflix or Disney + after about 10 or 15 minutes the show will start playing again without any input. | Posted: 04 Nov 2020 04:35 PM PST I've tried everything short of a factory reset - rebooting, turning DV off in the settings, switching HDMI cables but still every time I wake up the device from sleep it's in DV mode even for content that's not in DV. | Apple TV Flickering/Green Artifacts? Posted: 04 Nov 2020 07:08 PM PST Recently, I updated to the latest firmware for my x900h, and soon after, I started noticing random flickering occurring when watching Dolby Vision content. Sometimes, it will flicker green on the bottom half of the label - other times it's just normal artifacts. This only seems to occur with Dolby Vision content on my Apple TV, and a restart will fix it, but it will randomly return soon after. | Posted: 04 Nov 2020 12:19 PM PST I just purchased both an Apple TV 4K and an LG CX OLED TV. I don't plan to use upscaling, at the moment, but if I do I'd much prefer to let the TV do upscaling, not the ATV4K. Is it possible to disable upscaling, without force restricting the ATV4K to 1080p? If I do that, then I lose out on ALL native 4K content, which doesn't make any sense. [link] [comments]  | ||

| Subtitles turning off on Netflix repeatedly? Posted: 04 Nov 2020 06:16 AM PST Over the last week or two I've noticed an annoying bug with subtitles on the Apple Tv 4k. I dont know if its Netflix or the apple tv doing it but i'm inclined to believe its the apple TV due to the method of correcting it, temporarily at least. I have been watching Samurai champloo recently though admittedly i do not watch a lot of foreign language content so this could be happening on other apps too. I always have english subtitles turned on for things not in english audio and i've noticed they've been turning off by themselves recently. It happens at random and is fixed by going into subtitles and turning them off and on again in the swipe down menu at the top of the screen but they go off randomly again within 10-20 minutes. Is anyone else having issues with this on either netflix or just the apple tv in general? It's super irritating and would like to know who to report the bug to if its happening to others. | Question regarding Harmony 950 and Apple TV 4K use Posted: 04 Nov 2020 09:47 AM PST Just got the harmony 950 remote and so far I am liking it. One quirk that I've noticed is that when controlling the Apple TV 4K there seems to be a delay between pressing the button on the remote and seeing the led light blink on the Apple TV, indicating that the signal was received. I've heard you can pair the remote to the Apple TV via Bluetooth but I haven't gotten the hub yet. Is this just normal behavior when controlling via IR? I don't notice this from ah with my other devices. Any input is appreciated. Thanks. [link] [comments]  | ||
| Posted: 04 Nov 2020 09:57 AM PST So not sure if this belongs here or the r/Roku subreddit. Recently got a TCL 635 RokuTV and installed the AppleTV app after years of running stuff off a 4k AppleTV. Went to try and watch a movie last night (The Dark Tower) and at first things were fine, then suddenly I got horizontal lines of snow running through the image. Not showing up in any other app, doesn't show up on the main AppleTV screen just in the movies (tested on another as well). Any ideas or anyone else dealing with this? [link] [comments]  |
