It's running iOS 14.1 - I'm having some issues with it for about a week now. Whenever my earphones are plugged in - Siri wakes up, music starts to play or if I'm watching a film it gets paused all by itself. Now I want to know what could be the problem - Charging port works fine when its charging, so I don't know if my charging port got damaged or my earphones. I don't have an iPhone, so I don't know anything about it - she says she had the thread open and accidentally clicked "delete all". Is it possible for her to get the deleted messages back? | Question about logging into iCloud on new iPhone so I can actually use my phone Posted: 23 Oct 2020 08:12 PM PDT So I got a new iPhone after previously having a Note 10. I have no other apple devices. Per Verizon's instructions I turned off my phone so I could call the number to deactivate it and then I turned on my iPhone. I signed into the internet and then it brought me to the transfer option. I kept a backup from my XR so I chose from iCloud. I sign into my iCloud with the correct username and password and it says it sent a message to my devices that have a later version of Mac OS or IOS 10, well, all that's working is my old iPad and it won't upgrade past IOS 9. The only other options it gives me are to send a text or call the phone, but until I set up the phone it won't receive texts or calls. I did the option to call me from a different number after they verified my email but they said that could take days... and I would prefer not to be without a phone for days. Can I get into the phone without setting up iCloud and then log into iCloud when I have access to texts and then erase my phone and it it will still remember its authenticated because of the hardware? I really want to restore my image from the cloud as it had all my contacts and saved games and such. [link] [comments]  |

In my old iphone 6S plus and my brother's 11 pro max the earpods work whichever way they're inserted. is this normal for this phone? | IPhone 11 front flash for video not working Posted: 23 Oct 2020 06:29 PM PDT It's not that it's not working, for photos there is an option for front camera flash, but when I slide over to make a video using flash, there is no flash button option at all. All I see is in the right hand corner you can change the HD settings to for example HD 30, or you can change it to 4K 60 and so on and so forth. But that's it. No option for flash, I tried swiping up for the tool bar but no tool bar comes up. Does anyone know how to make flash work for the front camera video? I just have the IPhone 11. | Videos not showing in shared album? Posted: 23 Oct 2020 06:06 PM PDT Me and my group chat of dance friends have a shared folder where we put practice videos in for everyone to see. My friend recently uploaded 3 videos to the folder and he shows a picture that he sees the videos uploaded to the folder but no one else sees the videos in there. There are other videos and pictures in the folder that everyone can see, but the ones my friend recently uploaded (and showed in a picture to our group chat that he uploaded and is in the folder) can only be seen by our friend and none of us. Is there a reason for this? Also, the files are like half an hour long each so we thought it just took time for us to see them show up but it's been a few hours by now and we still can't see it. | XR faulty screen - what are my options? Posted: 23 Oct 2020 04:05 AM PDT Yesterday the touch screen stopped working on my XR (Dropped it). It's been entering the passcode in wrong by itself and now its disabled until connected to iTunes. I've downloaded iTunes on my pc and connected via USB (tried different ports/cables etc) but it won't connect. Read online to recover the iPhone by pressing up volume, down volume then side button but when I do this it calls emergency services to which I can't press the cancel button. I have an iCloud backup from August so I'm not overly worried but I'd like to backup the photos I've taken since then and between April and august where it hasn't backed up. What options do I have at this point? Could I buy more iCloud storage on my PC or do you have to backup the phone on the actual phone? Does pressing the up volume once, down volume once and then holding the side button trigger emergency calls for anyone else, or have I simply done it wrong? Too worried to try again as it's a waste of dispatchers time. Thanks for any help [link] [comments]  |

| XR iOS 14.0.1/14.1, only the Face ID camera gets hot, Face ID disabled Posted: 23 Oct 2020 06:19 AM PDT I have an iPhone XR, purchased around launch. Last night I noticed that Face ID was not working and my iPhone gave the message that it's due to my phone being too hot. It was on iOS 14.0.1 and there was no drop, installation of software, usage of accessories etc. that I recall that could have caused it. I was not using my phone before I noticed this happening. However, this is not a general overheating issue. The rest of the phone is perfectly normal, it is specifically only what I assume to be the Face ID camera or flood illuminator (the barely visible circle left to the speaker grill) that gets hot. I turned it off over night (without putting it on a charger) but the issue persists today. I have upgraded to iOS 14.1 today but it didn't fix the issue. I've turned off Face ID entirely but it changed nothing about the situation. Consulting Google was not much help as I could only find issues relating to the iPhone X launch problems or general overheating woes, nothing about a localised overheating of that specific sensor. Has anyone encountered this problem or is a trip to the Apple Store my only option? [link] [comments]  |
