    Weird sound issue

    After tvOS 14 update i started noticing weird audio issue which is not quite easy to describe. It's like i have this extra audio channel with occasional low frequency bassy stuttering rumbling. Hopefully it makes sense. High frequencies are unaffected. My setup is atv 4k to tv via hdmi, tv to soundbar via optical. No matter if it's streaming or local video with Infuse pro. All cables are brand new. I played with all possible combinations of audio settings but nothings helps.

    Apple TV Password Required resetting.

    I have set in my settings AppleID password never required and also selecting never required when renting a movie and it always default back after a few days to requiring the AppleID password.

    I dont know why it resets back to password required.

    Multi-room sync issue

    Before TVOS 14 I used to have Airplay audio in the entire house synced perfectly (thanks to wireless audio sync), and after upgrading, nothing syncs. It's extremely jarring walking between rooms where the audio is out of sync by up to a second.

    I have some ATV4/4Ks, and some Airplay 2 APs around the place, as far as I can tell, nothing is trying to stay in sync any more.

    Is there anything I can do to fix this?

    So which, if any of the Apple TV originals are shot on iPhone?

    I got the iPhone 11 when it came out and have just recently really been taking advantage of the free year of Apple TV+.
    I just remembered the 'shot on iPhone' campaign and how they market the pro phones as production quality devices and just got to wondering: did they film any of their shoes exclusively/mostly on iPhones?

    Alternative app for browsing iTunes Movie Library?

    Hi all,

    Does anyone know of an alternative app for browsing the iTunes Movie Library on Apple TV? In particular, the purchased section?

    Both the Apple TV app and iTunes Movies app do not have great interfaces for browsing the library, and there are many other applications out there like Plex, Infuse, etc which have much nicer interfaces and options for sorting/searching your library. However, neither of these allow displaying and searching through the library of purchased movies you have on iTunes.

    If you know of an app, or a way to do it, share your thoughts below! Cheers all!

    Apple TV HD Vs 4K: worth a $50 premium?

    Earlier this year, I bought my first Apple device [iPad Pro 12.9 2020] and I'm considering getting a Apple TV so I can watch Apple TV+ and other streaming services on my TV without plugging my iPad into the TV with a USB-C to HDMI adapter.

    After looking on Apple's store and a couple other retailers here in New Zealand, the difference between the price of the 4th Gen HD & 5th Gen 4K 32GB models is ~$50 at $249 & $299 respectively.

    I don't need the extra feature of the 5th generation Apple TV as I do not have a 4K or HDR display however I do like the idea of having the improved A10X SoC over the A8. Plus it would like be supported with OS and software updates a bit longer than the HD model.

    New to Apple TV. Noticing weird sound balance with Atmos audio in Apple originals.

    I just recently bought my Apple TV 4K but I've noticed when watching stuff in Atmos that the sound suddenly shifts to the left side sometimes for a few seconds. I know it's not my speakers because I also noticed this when listening with headphones plugged into my receiver. I notice this a lot with Long Way Up but I've also been watching Servant and Morning show and have noticed the same there, just less often.

    I haven't noticed it yet on Atmos content from other services like Disney+ when viewed on the Apple TV so I'm guessing it's something weird in how Atmos is being mastered with Apple's own content perhaps. Anybody else noticing this?

    Followed the directions to turn off closed captions but under accessibility and subtitles there isnt an option to turn them off only to change the appearance. Been searching and I cant find a relevant guide

    App not opening like other apps?

    It's a weird question and I'm not sure how to explain it. One of my newly downloaded apps does not open like the others. It goes straight into the application instead of doing that motion where it enlarges as you click and then it goes back to normal as you back out. Am I crazy?

    Can 2 sets of headphones be used simultaneously with Apple TV?

    Is it now possible to connect two sets of wireless headphones to Apple TV 4K? I've been searching online forums and I read conflicting comments. We just want to be able to both wear headphones and not disturb other people while watching Apple tv. Is it possible?

    Questions about ARC and the Apple TV

    I'm still using the Vizio plasma TV I bought 12 years ago with my first paycheck out of college, but unfortunately it's looking like it's time to replace it. We're not audiophiles or super picky about picture quality (if that wasn't already obvious by me using a 12 year old tv), but I want to get the most bang for my buck. Right now I'm leaning towards the TCL 5 Series 50".

    Even more than picture quality, my main focus is on getting rid of remotes. We don't use anything but the Apple TV for input - no Blu Ray players, no antenna, no gaming systems. We do have a Polk Audio sound bar connected to the TV through an optical cable. Right now the Apple TV does not wake up the TV or sound bar so we have 3 remotes, 2 of which only the power buttons are ever pressed.

    The specs on the 5 series says "4 HDMI ports, 1 eARC". If I have the Apple TV plugged into HDMI port 1, and an HDMI cable running from port 4 (ARC) to the sound bar, will that give me the result I want? Or since there is only one ARC port, will I still need to turn the TV on manually which will then hopefully power on the sound bar as well?

    What’s the point of TV+ app?

    Hi all,

    Just signed up for the Apple One family bundle and I'm confused on the point of TV+. Seems like you pay to access the ability to pay for shows, unlike other streaming services where you pay once and access the catalog of shows they have.

    What am I missing here?

    Music and arcade are great, and I was already paying for the 200gb plan each month, so the bundle is already worth it to me. Just not sure what to go is with TV+

    Buy now or wait for 6 gen?

    I'm about to buy my first Apple TV! I'm wondering if I should buy 5 gen or wait for the 6 gen? There is a lot of buzz about the new generation but nothing sure. What do you think?

    Also, 32 or 64 GB? Mostly for streaming/media purposes
