Anyone know how to fix no sound iphone6s? Posted: 02 Sep 2020 11:46 PM PDT I can't hear a sound when playing music or video, but speaker is not broken because I can hear sounds with ringtone test. I can hear sounds with earphones too so I don't think it's with the app. And my phone's not muted it's on high volume. It's just with playing sound with no earphone. I think it's from system default? But I didn't set it and I don't know how. I simply put it down then music stops playing. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 02 Sep 2020 07:38 PM PDT I have a really cool app on my old iPhone which, for some reason, doesn't appear as purchased when I go to its page on the App Store on my new iPhone. My only guess is that I bought it so long ago that it might have been through my parents' Apple ID. Anyway, I put the .ipa in the cloud and got it on my new iPhone, but I can't install the app. Anyone know what to do with this .ipa now that I have it on my new iPhone? [link] [comments] |
Mac will only show some photos on iPhone Posted: 02 Sep 2020 06:43 PM PDT Recently I've been trying to import some photos from my iPhone to my Mac however every single time I try this my Mac only shows me some of my photos in my album and not all of them I know the issue is linked to my iPhone as I have tried this with multiple computers and all of them have showed the same result additionally I have factory reset my iPhone once and all this did was change the photos that were shown on my computer. What do I do ? [link] [comments] |
Posted: 02 Sep 2020 02:12 PM PDT (First of all forgive my Spanish English) About 3 months ago my iPhone 6s running iOS 13 stopped working. I bought it used in 2016 from CEX (a reputable 2nd hand tech store in Europe). How it happened: I was recording a 4K video, the phone started heating up and turned off. When turning it back on the screen was black (I could only see it in a dark room by shining a flashlight on it), but the touchscreen, sounds, etc. were working. I thought the backlighting had failed. Then, the phone got even hotter (I couldn't even hold it), so I force shut it down. After that, I couldn't turn it back on anymore, not even plugging it in. Plus, the computer didn't recognize it. Took it to a repair shop, the guy opened it for free and told me some CPU circuits had melted, and the repair wouldn't be worth it. After that i just forgot about it in a drawer. So, recently, I searched online and I couldn't find any other case of this kind of catastrophic failure. I'm sure this shouldn't happen, especially with modern hardware and OS. How is this possible? How do I access my old iPhone account Posted: 02 Sep 2020 08:38 PM PDT So around the new year I broke my iPhone 5, and got a new iPhone 8. I just used a new phone until I got the new one, but when I got it used, I wasn't able to access my iCloud account on my 5, to let me put it on my 8. Now I have tons of photos on there that I still want, and have put off trying to do it, but I need them for school. How can I access my ICloud account and get photos off of that phone? Posted: 02 Sep 2020 03:47 PM PDT I have a bellsouth.net email with yahoo/att. Today I changed my password. On my mail app I got the alert that the (old) password is not correct. I changed the password to the new password (which works on the website) and it is saying it is incorrect and cannot be verified. Does anyone have a fix for this? [link] [comments] |
Location will suddenly stop being tracked in the background despite having permission Posted: 02 Sep 2020 03:46 PM PDT This has now happened three times in the past month. I frequently check my Google Location History, and for years it had successfully tracked me everywhere I go, no matter if I have the Google Maps app open or not. Three times now (8/12, 8/28, and 9/1) my location history has suddenly stopped tracking me unless I open the app. Each time I have fixed this by factory restoring my phone from a backup (nothing else works). I know this is not because of my location history settings (because otherwise it wouldn't update my location history when I open the Google Maps app) and it's not because I don't have "always" permissions on or background app refresh off. It also seemed to track my tablet while it wasn't tracking my phone (until I turned it off for my tablet to know which data was coming from my phone). So this leads me to believe that it is an issue with my phone (iPhone 8 bought new in December). I am absolutely tired of factory restoring my phone several times (last night's was especially painful as I had some serious issues trying to do that and took me several hours) and I just want to know that my location history will not inexplicably stop tracking me. Is there anything I can do short of getting a new phone (or, is this something Apple would replace my phone for? I doubt it)? [link] [comments] |
iPhone 7 home button not working Posted: 02 Sep 2020 12:46 PM PDT iPhone 7 home button now working Hi everyone, first of all, I'm new here so if I mess stuff up while explaining please point it out in the comments. I own an iPhone 7, with iOS 13.6.1 running, and i have experienced some problems today. Firstly, I was not able to turn my phone on, as it showed the apple logo, turned off, and back to the apple logo for a few hours repetively. I was able to make it work, it answered and made phone calls and I could open every app, but I could not use my home button nor my Touch ID. I am now temporarily using assistive touch as a substitute to my home button. I forced reset my phone a few times but the problem persists. Can anyone help me? Thank you very much. Posted: 02 Sep 2020 11:54 AM PDT Since monday my iPhone 7 is stuck in recovery mode. It started with a bootloop and resulted in error 14 when trying to update via iTunes on my laptop. I've researched the problem online, is similar to error code 26, which was its precursor. What all cases reported was that they tried rebooting or updating the iPhone while they had little space left on their device. I had been deleting apps and video's before i decided to reboot. So there should have been some space left. Also, I'd imagine that Apple would make sure there's a failsafe so that the device won't attempt an update if it is short on available space. The update won't install after reaching a certain point in the progression bar, about 1/3 in. The only other option iTunes proposes next to updating is to restore the device, which would mean clearing the device of 200 gb of photos, videos and documents I never had a chance to backup (since the dcim folder wasn't appearing on my computer for over a year). There are plenty of people having this problem. People that can 't get access to pictures of their pregnancy and pictures of loved ones. Apple support maintains that if updating doesn't work, the only other option is to restore, erasing all data. Am I the only one who feels like there should be a middle ground solution? Like sacrificing a small amount of data to complete the update, to save the rest of the data? I really think it is a radical decision to lose 3 years worth of memories in order to save the iPhone. I could care less about the phone, what I care about is those memories which I was stupid enough to trust Apple with. I refuse to erase my precious memories. Did anyone else encounter this issue? Or are their any tech savy redditors that can help me out or at least analyse the problem and confirm or debunk the deterministic advice from Apple support?Error 14 [link] [comments] |

Random video appeared in camera roll? Posted: 02 Sep 2020 07:59 AM PDT I was going through my iCloud on my computer yesterday going through photos and I noticed a video I never saw before, it was of a girl in the shower taking a video of herself. I'm not complaining, but I'm extremely confused as to how it got there. It's not on my phone, I only see it on my desktop on my iCloud photos. She looks like one of my friends but I'm not sure. Regardless, I'm extremely confused as to how it got there because I'm 100% positive it was never sent to me. [link] [comments] |

Magnets interfering stabilization? Posted: 02 Sep 2020 06:49 AM PDT https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT208747 Do Mous Cases interfere with iphones' image stabilization (magnets)? Thank you in advance. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 02 Sep 2020 01:20 AM PDT My old Iphone SE stopped being able to be charged about 2 years ago after I had used it for a few years, and in an attempt to (rather recklessly) remove lint/debris from the charging port I managed to damage the charging port (according to the apple store) beyond repair. All I should need is one charge of the phones batteries to get the photos I want out of it, and one article I found suggested a quick fix involving splitting a cable and directly charging the battery via it's negative and positive terminals. I wouldnt do the bit in the latter part of the article about leaving the wires in the phone if possible. Does this seem like an OK solution for my situation, or should I buy a replacement charging port/battery/take it to a repairs shop (if which there aren't many near me). Thanks a lot. Posted: 02 Sep 2020 03:31 AM PDT I never had this issue in the past until the last update, I put a playlist on Apple Music move on to reddit watch a video which pauses the music and it completely resets AP and forgets the playlist/album I was on. I'm seriously considering moving to android, this is awful and I never had this issue with PowerAmp, is there anything that can be done? really shows how behind IPhone is when it comes to ram, this is beyond annoying. I was fine with the music pausing when playing a video or audio and not being able to change that in the settings but this is really terrible. [link] [comments] |
Music fucking disappears after every update Posted: 02 Sep 2020 06:06 AM PDT Every time I update my shite phone, 95% of my music decides to fuck off for no reason whatsoever. Anyone know how to fix this? [link] [comments] |
