| Need help restoring Iphone backup Posted: 03 Sep 2020 08:57 PM PDT I backed up my Iphone XS Max to my Macbook Pro without using Icloud, before taking it to AT&T to buy the Iphone 11. They completely wiped my XS Max and gave me the 11. I went to restore my backup when I got an error that I needed to update the Iphone XS Max but I don't have that phone anymore. I found the backup file on my Macbook and I don't know if there's a way to somehow get my photos out of it onto my computer or my new Iphone 11. Please helppppp!!! [link] [comments]  |

| Posted: 03 Sep 2020 05:56 PM PDT So I've had my iPhone X for a while smashed like completely smashed at front and had parts of glass falling off the back (very bad I know) and it started turning off on its own so I took it to get repaired and the problem is still happening. Turns off on its own and doesn't come back on till I hard reset it, sometimes that doesn't even work. Also when I press down on the lock side of the phone it freezes and turns off. | iPhone 11 picking up unhealthy levels of smudges Posted: 03 Sep 2020 05:32 PM PDT First of all there are an enormous amount of fingerprints with hardly any use which is probably normal. However with my 8 plus I would just wipe it down with a 70% ipa pad and would shine like a diamond. Now, I try wiping this phone down and there are large lines of smudge and dots. Sometimes (not reliably), the when the ringer goes off, the audio starts to jerk and rapidly repeat and stutter and crackle. | iPhone XS Max not so waterproof Posted: 03 Sep 2020 03:52 PM PDT I went to the beach and took some pictures in the water (not under, although I might have took it a little under because of the waves) and it stopped working. It resets itself endlessly, for two weeks now. I took it to the Apple Store and they told me the only way to save it is repairing (€600), so basically a new iPhone. I told them I thought it was waterproof since I had a iPhone 8 before which I took into the water and it didn't brake. They didn't give me an explanation about the waterproof feature, so I felt very desappointed. Now I have to work and live with an Android because they are cheaper because I can afford to fix my phone and my life sucks. Why 2020??? Any help to save it? [link] [comments]  |

This happened to me in the past where I had the same issue for one night and then in the morning the problem was gone. Will those automatically back up to my iCloud? How is that different from my automatic backs ups that happen nightly or whenever I manually press backup now? What happens if I toggle off messages or photos for example and then do a manual backup now. Will they still backup. If so what's the purpose of those being enabled? [link] [comments]  |

Posted: 03 Sep 2020 08:30 AM PDT So I had an issue where 2 photos couldn't be deleted from the iMessage details with one person. No matter how many times I would go into the info panel and delete them, they just stay there. I've tried deleting them by going through settings>iPhone storage>messages and going through photos and large attachments there. They never come up. As a last resort I decided I'm just gonna delete the entire text box with that person and when I started a new conversation everything was gone along with any photos sent between us but those 2 specific photos are still the only thing left. Posted: 03 Sep 2020 07:02 AM PDT I regularly check my gmail access list for security reasons and have noticed something odd happen a few days ago. My iPhone connected to it as normal but then I noticed a second connection on my list, and oddly it matched the same model and NAME of my iPhone. However on one connection it matched my IP and the other time it did not. Both times however were accessed via Safari but I only use the gmail app itself. That and the IP difference makes me a bit concerned. Is there any reason why the connection from my iPhone would report Safari when I never use it? Thank you! [link] [comments]  |

| I can't update to iCloud Drive Posted: 03 Sep 2020 05:47 AM PDT Hey guys! I am an android user so I am not used to IOS (sorry for sinning), but I am helping my mom setting up her new iPhone. She'd like to keep her whatsapp conversations and therefore, I am trying to go through iCloud. However, whatsapp asks me to activate iCloud Drive, and when I click "update" to go from iCloud to iCloud Drive, nothing happens (I filmed a video of what happens I could upload if that helps?). I've gone through mutiple pages of google but nothing seems to help. Any ideas? Edit: Iphone SE, running IOS 13.6, purchased this week. [link] [comments]  |
