If you like to write in the margins of books, Scribble is a game changer Posted: 04 Sep 2020 02:04 PM PDT Being able highlight something and jot something down real quick without having to switch to the keyboard is the best. Something I've wanted on iPad since day one. [link] [comments]
How to transfer file from PC to iPad without itunes/cloud? Posted: 04 Sep 2020 08:01 AM PDT Can you transfer from plugging it into a computer? My gf is an artist and got one recently, and our internet where we are is terrible, until we can move closer to the city. itunes wants to wipe her ipad for some reason, and she wants to put a file she edited in photoshop onto her ipad and she has a procreate file she wants to take off and onto her ipad. But we cannot get it to work, at all. One file saved to her "photos" folder as a photoshop file, and were able to export it that way, but it will not work anymore, no matter what we do. We've exported it to every option available. I've tried going into her file viewer but holy shit, apple limits what you can view, I don't know how people can work so restricted lol. Is there any good way around this? [link] [comments]

Would anyone else want a battery in the Magic Keyboard or improvements for iPad? Posted: 04 Sep 2020 11:08 AM PDT I would love for there to be a small battery in the Magic Keyboard to help preserve the battery of my iPad Pro and to help make it more evenly weighted. What other things would you like added to the iPad. Overall I'm very happy with my iPad Pro but there's a few improvements that could be made. [link] [comments]

What's it like with multiple users on iPad Pro? Posted: 04 Sep 2020 08:29 AM PDT I'm thinking about switching my MBP for an iPad Pro. I'm not using the MBP for much aside from video streaming, music, light document use, torrents (I know I can't do that on iOS) and general web browsing. When discussing the upcoming purchase with my missus, she mentioned that the iMac has been sitting on the ground for two/three weeks since we rearranged the flat and there is no space for it to go anywhere currently. She's thinking about selling it and we both use the iPad Pro. We both have iPhone 11 Pros. I think that's a great idea as the iMac is old and needs replacing however what is it like in practice with multiple users on an iOS device? My primary concern is Gmail/Chrome, (Apple) Photos, Lightroom, Instagram, Spotify and Audible, we both have separate accounts for each, is it easy to switch between the two or is it a log out and log back in deal? I can create a singular household account for Spotify, transfer playlists in and have that as a workaround so that should be okay but what about the rest? Can you have two users signed into Google services and switch easily like on the desktop? Does Audible allow for account switching without deleting downloaded audiobooks? Can you easily switch Apple accounts or does the 90 day limit still apply like iPhone's used to have? The end goal is to use the iPad as an automated home hub, so it's imperative I make the right choice. Are we making the right choice, ditching the iMac and MBP for a singular iPad Pro? Is there anything else we need to think of first? [link] [comments]
What is the best deal for iPad Pro 11 inch right now? Posted: 04 Sep 2020 11:12 AM PDT Is there anything else that's better than the Apple education deal? I won't use the AirPods. [link] [comments]
Posted: 04 Sep 2020 01:23 AM PDT I have two questions actually. First, is there a way to separate audio from a video clip and download the separated audio as a separate file for editing? If so, how? Secondly, are there any good audio/music editing apps you guys recommend? [link] [comments]
Is there any way to customize haptic touch?(that long touch thingy that replaced 3D touch) Posted: 04 Sep 2020 10:43 AM PDT I'm currently using old iPad air 2 for my back to school device and loving it. Especially because of long software support and still decent performance. But I recently noticed that haptic touch(that long touch thingy that replaced 3D touch) in home screen or dock has poor amount of information. When I long press it on photos app, I expect recent photos that could be drag and dropped, just like when I long press on files app, but it just shows simple and useless shortcuts to my albums. Also, I expected mail previews on mails app but it only shows useless shortcuts too. Is there any option that I can enrich things when I do haptic touch? [link] [comments]

I want to mirror my iPad > PC so I can stream my Procreate work on Twitch. Posted: 03 Sep 2020 04:44 PM PDT Currently I use 5KPlayer (freeware). It's okay, but several times throughout the stream, it bugs out to the point where the content is un-viewable and I have to crash the application on my PC, restart it, and reconnect for things to be visible again. Usually it happens when I use the selection tools. This is annoying, because I really like using selection tools lol. Are there any other freeware software like 5KPlayer that I could try? Not interested in Airserver/VNC/paid/free trial apps, so please don't suggest them. Thanks! [link] [comments]
Posted: 03 Sep 2020 11:44 PM PDT Ok, ever since I've acquired the Magic Keyboard for my 11" iPad Pro 2018, I've been using it more like a laptop nowadays. By that I mean switch apps more frequently, having multiple tabs and instances of Safari open, and generally multitasking like I was on a macOS/Windows machine. Following that, I've also noticed frequent soft reboots, where my screen would turn black with a loading circle in the middle. It barely lasts a second before turning back to normal, and this wouldn't really bother me - if it also didn't completely restart all of my apps. I'm almost certain it's because of the anemic ram this tablet has. It just sucks it has to completely reboot on me instead of shutting down past apps. Have you guys been experiencing this problem? Pretty sure it wouldn't exist with the 2020 models as they have six gigs of ram now. But I have a slight feeling this too wouldn't be enough in the long run, with how Apple is turning their tablets more into laptops now (Which I like). [link] [comments]
Anyone know of any colored Apple Pencil tip replacements? Posted: 03 Sep 2020 10:02 PM PDT I'm about due for a Apple Pencil tip replacement (been using the same original tip it came with for about a year) and I figured I would try to make it more unique and find a different color than having it be white. I've browsed the Internet and all I can find are tip covers (which basically cover tip for protection). I would do this, but I saw they make the writing and tapping sound non-existent and I like those audible feedback. I did find some actual tip replacements that are black on amazon but I want something more colorful. Any ideas? Edit: I figured since it's been out for a while I thought for sure some third party companies would make something like different colored tips. [link] [comments]
Please introduce me to the world of iPad keyboard covers Posted: 04 Sep 2020 01:18 AM PDT Hello everyone, I plan to buy the next iPad (Air?) as soon as it is revealed. My goal is to use it as media device but potentially as a remote PC client as well when I will be traveling again therefore I am buying a keyboard full cover with trackpad. The local Apple website is a little bit confusing the magic keyboard is really expensive and is only available for the iPad Pros. The other are made by Logitech and the choice is really limited. Do you suggest other keyboards? possibly below 100€ and that are reliable and don't need any other power source Do Apple and partners release most of the accessories with the iPad launch? Tell me what iPad to get for my needs please Posted: 04 Sep 2020 10:36 AM PDT Simple question and I want a simple answer. I looked up the available iPads and there are too many damn options and sizes and gb sizes. I use my iPad for Netflix, Hulu, and Prime Video. That is it. What iPad should I get? My current iPad is the iPad mini late 2012 and it is beyond slow and not compatible with Hulu anymore. So I want an iPad that will remain compatible FOR A LONG TIME with the 3 streaming apps I use it for. Thank You! [link] [comments]
A lovely shiny iPad Pro and I still can’t connect a DVD player, or can I, please help! Posted: 04 Sep 2020 10:11 AM PDT I have a pretty damn good dvd collection with the vast majority not available on streaming services. I got the PS4 remote app to work on my iPad and thought finally, I've got a way to see the films on my iPad. Ofc I was mistaken. Surely Apple are able to allow this, but won't for the usual reasons. I therefore thought I'd just double check with the good folks on reddit if anyone knows whether Apple plans to change this, or if there's a usb-c DVD player now out there? I know about ways to convert to mp4, Handbrake and all that, but would much prefer to use a DVD player. Thanks folks [link] [comments] |
