    So I decided to install macOS 11 on my old MacBook air and the installation has been stuck here for more than 24 hours. I tried force restarting but it always brings me back here. Is there any solution or should i just try recovering it and deleting everything?

    Idk why but the mail app keeps opening automatically while I'm doing other things. Sometimes it opens in full screen and sometimes just the window. Has anyone else seen this happen?

    MacBook Pro 2012 Keeps Shutting Off On Startup

    I'm trying to help my sister with her albeit old MacBook Pro that has just recently seemed to die on us. It powers on & reaches slightly past the halfway mark on the Apple logo loading bar then shuts off on it's own. The only solution I've found to this is when I hold down the Command + R buttons to access the MasOS Disk Utilities section. From there I've tried applying First Aid to all the drives and if I let go of the Command + R keys at all during this process it will soon shut off within seconds. Any other routes I could try to get this up and running again?

    P.S. I'm not too familiar with Mac OS since I'm primarily a Windows user so I can't think of anything else.

    I've tried resetting the PRAM and the few other common alternatives listed on common sites, but the only thing that has gotten me past the loading screen is the Command + R function...

    Macbook Pro speaker volume reduced after disconnecting AirPods

    Sound is fine when I'm using my AirPods, but when I disconnect or switch them to a different device, the normal macbook speakers don't get as loud as they normally do, even when I move the volume slider to the max.

    It resolves when I shut down the computer but reappears whenever i disconnect the Airpods

    Hi, I installed windows 10 via bootcamp on my mbp 15” 2012 and I can’t seem to control the brightness. Is there a way to fix this without uninstalling/reinstalling?

    Karabiner-elements deleting issue

    So I installed karabiner elements cus i had an old keyboard bla bla bla. So I wanted to uninstall it but I couldnt becouse it said the item was blocked, i got super frustrated and I deleted all the files and stuff it let me delete in the app folder. What i didnt know, is that i could have it uninstalled from the app itself by an option it has, and now the App (with no files in it) will be forever in my mac and I dont know how to delete it, also my trash keeps crashing sometimes and says emptying forever... please somone help me...

    Mac Running Super Slowly but Activity Monitor is Fine

    I am so confused as to why this is happening, I am on a full spec MBP 2015 15' and expect it to run speedy with everything I do. Right now even as I am typing out this post, the type cursor is lagging behind my typing. I am trying to do interactive homework on firefox, and it's very slow, on other browsers too. On activity monitor, 80% of my CPU is idle, and its basically the same for every other area (memory, disk, etc.) what the hell is wrong with my laptop?

    How do I stop MacOS from bringing up things from another partition when searching?

    While I am running the Big Sur beta currently, this was also an issue even in stable builds of Catalina. It's not a bug related to the beta.

    I currently have two MacOS partitions on my machine, the second one being an older Mojave backup just in case I need it.

    I'm having an issue where in my main partition I'm seeing things from the other MacOS partition when searching or recalling programs. There are often two versions of the same programs due to the other partition having the same programs but older. A good example is when I go to select my default browser it shows Safari 13 and 14 even though I only have 14 on my main partition, the 13 is from my Mojave partition and even shows the path in finder as being to that partition.

    Yesterday I searched for launchpad and had launchpad from the other partition showing up in my results.

    MacOS Catalina stuck on this screen. Currently running on 10.9, need to run on at least 10.10. Update is compatible with this iMac, there is more than enough storage space for it, tried restarting, it just freezes on this screen every time.

    I installed apps recently and they won’t open, I tried it with different apps. They keep jumping like that for 10 minutes and then stop , but nothing happens. The thing is that I can’t open apps I downloaded recently, but the ones I downloaded before have no problem. Anyone helps me? Catalina 15.5.5

    I can open a new window from the menu bar, but for some reason Safari insists on opening a new tab rather than a new window when using either the default keyboard shortcut or a custom shortcut.

    Has anyone run into this issue before? If so, how did you fix it?

    Why did the iMac late 2013 21.5” and 27” lost support for macOS Big Sur?

    People keep claiming Apple is ditching NVIDIA GPUs and these macs have 1GB VRAM which all doesn't make sense since the late 2013 macbook pros have NVIDIA GPUs which are still supported and the iMac mid 2014 models have integrated graphics that is worse than the 1GB GT750M in the late 2013 27" model. Even the newer 2017 or 2019 models have relatively poor integrated graphics too. Furthermore, the claim of iMac newer than 2014 Supporting hyperthreading is also a terrible reason because the Mac mini from 2018 has a base processor of i3-8100B that DOES NOT support hyperthreading. In Mojave, Apple was extremely clear that the old macs from 2011 and 2010 were losing support because of actual technical limitations due to the GPU not supporting metal but for this, I simply can't think of any logical ones other than planned obsolescence.

    Windows on an External Partion on MacOS

    I was wondering if I would be able to partition an external SSD and use that partition to install windows on. So that I could have two partitions on my external SSD. One 100 GB partition used for windows and the rest used to store files. I guess I'm asking if I can partition the drive and use one partition for windows and the other for storage, or am I required to use the entire drive to install and boot into windows. Sorry if I sound repetitive.

    'b' key not working on Macbook Pro Mac OS, but it works on windows.

    I have an issue with my keyboard, when I type 'b' I have to press harder in oder to make it work, and today I just realized is just an issue on Mac OS, I have windows installed with ootcamp (see how it didn't type the 'b') and on windows the 'b' key works just fine, I don't have to press it harder.

    Do anyone have an idea about what could be the problem?

    Can my mid 2012 Macbook Pro, 4GB run Catalina?

    Finally found a charger for my Macbook and realized I'm still running El Capitan v 10.11.6. I was wondering if it can handle Catalina, leave it with El Capitan, or update it to a different version.

    All default hardware as purchased.

    2.5 GHz Intel Core i5
    4GB

    Every search I've done talks about HDD or SDD, I don't know which one I have. I think HDD? Under Serial-ATA Device Tree, it shows Medium Type: Rotational, Capacity 500 GB.

    How to import Music.app library or bulk change song file locations?

    All song files are stored on a NAS and I want to change the network share name. There are a lot of playlists so exporting/editing/importing each one would be very tedious and time-consuming. I found the Library can be exported as an XML file but there doesn't appear to be an import function. Perhaps there's a way to edit the Library.musicdb file? My Google searches aren't turning up anything useful, mostly news about iTunes>Music.app change over.

    Safari Does not play Youtube videos when logged in, but I can get it to play in private mode for some odd reason. Some vids will play while other do not. This all started in the last hour. I see others have this issue on Youtube support last month. odd issue. Anyone else? Safari macOS 10.14.

    Help? I downgraded from Catalina to Mojave, and cannot get past the login screen.

    So I hated Catalina and wanted to Downgrade to Mojave. I also have Time Machine but I have no data to back up to that was in Mojave. I managed to reinstall Mojave from a Flash Drive and have all my applications and data saved to my Hard Drive outside of Time Machine. When I restore from a Time Machine it's successful in restoring, but I cannot get past the Login Screen. I enter my password, but it won't login.

    My question is, if I didn't have a Time Machine OG Mojave, and it loads my restore data from only Catalina, is that what's causing my inability to login?

    I've already done all the troubleshooting I recommended online..and I'm close but can't get it to work...

    Should I just reinstall the OS and install apps from my hard drive manually?

    I'm willing to take it into a shop, but I think I can handle this.
