Is there anyway to recover any data? Local repair shop said it needs a new board and screen. Estimate is 600 USD. I have a ton of my sons photos on there that mean a lot. Is there any hope? [link] [comments]  |

| iPhone 8 Plus is having a weird vibration and tapping noise Posted: 07 Jul 2020 07:33 PM PDT Hello, I only noticed this happening once a few days ago, but every time I opened my Robinhood app today, my iPhone 8 Plus would start rumbling and for a few seconds and make tapping noises. I tested it out and noticed it was happening around the lower half of the device. If I had to compare, it was reminiscent of a disk drive starting up on a laptop or home PC. My iOS is 13.3 and I've had it since Oct 2017, but should I be concerned with my iPhone doing this? Or is this considered normal for certain apps/after 3 years of usage? [link] [comments]  |
| iPhone 11 Pro Recorded Video with White Screen Posted: 07 Jul 2020 06:00 PM PDT Phone info: iPhone 11 Pro 13.5.1 Purchase info: Montreal, Canada May of 2020 I recorded a long video (just under 2 hours) using the front facing camera in 4K. The video saved to my phone with a white screen for the entire duration of the video, and with audio only. I used the standard Apple camera app, and the video showed my subject during the entire video. I made a quick video after immediately after, and the video is fine. Does anyone know what caused this and how I could prevent this issue in the future? I'm assuming there's no way to get the video portion back, and I'm stuck with just audio? [link] [comments]  |

But while doing that I saw that my metal case near the lcd cables was with burning marks. Opened it and found a kind of paste that looks like it was transformed to dust. What is it? I first noticed in snapchat and then realized it does it in every camera application. You can actually see the one of the lenses shaking on the back of the phone. It makes a buzzing sound too. | iPhone 7 is starting to glitch badly Posted: 07 Jul 2020 04:16 PM PDT My wife's iPhone 7 (ver. 13.5.1) has, in the last couple of days, started to seriously act up. The battery has been showing signs of losing life for a few months, but in the last day or two, along with the battery drain getting markedly worse, it's started being incredibly sluggish about sending and receiving texts, apps and functions will either not open, will run very slowly, or they will open and close on their own, and just now she said that it's showing to be connected to our home WiFi even though WiFi is turned off. All her text messages also briefly vanished. Is this all side effects of the battery crapping out, or is there something else going on? [link] [comments]  |
| Problem with “Other” taking up most of my storage Posted: 07 Jul 2020 04:13 PM PDT I have an IPhone 8+ running iOS 13.5. Lately, I keep getting a notification that I am out of storage. I deleted some unused apps, backed up all my photos to google photos, and cleared all website data in safari. The problem is "other" is taking up more than half of my storage. | Posted: 07 Jul 2020 05:00 AM PDT Battery Calibration Problem. I have an iPhone 7 and it's pretty brand new. I always charge my phone to 80% because I read somewhere that between 30 and 80% l, the stress on battery is minimum. So whenever I charge battery to 80% it sits on 80 for like half an hour even if I play a game or watch youtube and after then rapidly starts to decrease. Also today I noticed that my iphone died at 9%. So do I need some kind of "Battery Calibration" if yes how? Any help or suggestion would be highly appreciated.
