XR: does the screen get dimmer over time? Posted: 28 Jul 2020 02:42 AM PDT Do phone screens get dimmer over time, or are my eyes just getting weaker? When I got this XR a couple of years ago, I almost never had to use maximum brightness. Now I'm struggling to see some apps when it's sunny outside, and wish I could crank the brightness higher. I thought maybe it's a physical property in the screen/backlight? Or maybe something similar to the battery thing (when Apple intentionally reduced max power over time in order to reduce power spikes and older batteries shutting down randomly)? Again, it could be just my eyes or apps, so I'm wondering if anyone else feels the same way. [link] [comments] | ||
