iCloud Storage is full but don't want to upgrade from 50gb to 200gb - anyone workarounds?

    Posted: 20 Jul 2020 09:34 AM PDT

So I have 50GB+ of photos and videos taken over 3 or so years - however upgrading to the 200GB tier seems like overkill and is actually fairly expensive.

Can I just connect my phone to my computer and download all the media as a backup, then choose to disable icloud backup of photos on my phone?

Does anyone have another workaround besides spending 12 or so hours going through and deleting the photos I don't want to keep?

The notification is slowly (rapidly) driving me insane.

Best night photography app for iPhone 8?

    Posted: 20 Jul 2020 08:27 AM PDT

At the risk of posting a redundant question, does anyone know of a high quality app for taking night photos using an iPhone 8? I'd like to try photographing the comet. It sounds like the camera hardware should be sufficient so in theory all that's needed is the right app...right?

    Thanks!

Remote media control between 2 iPhones

    Posted: 20 Jul 2020 09:28 AM PDT

I have my old iPhone being used as a music-only device hooked up to my speakers.

Is there any way to use my current iPhone to skip songs/adjust volume when I'm away from the music-only device?

    Thanks!

    iPhone 11 cameras resolution

    Posted: 19 Jul 2020 03:57 PM PDT

    Hey everyone

I've just bought the iPhone 11 and started exploring its cameras. I made two identical photos on wide and ultra wide cameras and noticed that the photo from the last one is much less detailed than the first one. The files' sizes are the same — around 3 megabytes, but the objects are less sharp on ultra wide and I can zoom deeper on the wide camera's photo. Here're the screenshots of zoomed images: ultra and regular. Here're the originals: ultra and regular.

I thought the cameras are identical and have the same MP resolution. What's the reason of this difference?

iPhone 8 plus cameras. What is the second camera for? How do I switch to the second camera?

    Posted: 19 Jul 2020 02:01 PM PDT

I don't know much about cameras. My iPhone 8 plus has 2 cameras on the front and 2 cameras on the back. The left camera on the front and the left camera on the back seem to be the ones it uses by default.

I was wondering what the right camera on the front and back are for?

How do I switch to those cameras?
