    The iPad Pro can now play YouTube videos at 4K resolution (downscaled), don’t know if other models can do it. I am on iPad OS 14 beta.

    Replacement ipad in a box?

    Hi there, I received a faulty iPad pro 4 and local istore ordered me a replacement. The genius told me that he will be putting the new replacement ipad in a foam sleeve rather than opening the iPad from the box in front of me, because he has to put my faulty iPad in the brown box the replacement iPad came with straight away. I am wondering if it is normal, since nobody will know if the new replacement iPad is a new device, not a device I used previously but just factory resetted by them.

    I've been using Duet Display and while it's alright there is a noticeable delay/lag even when connecting my iPad with USB 3.1 Gen2. I've heard Astropad is good but only for OS X. Are there any other apps for Windows other than Duet Display? I use Easycanvas as a graphics tablet type app but that only mirrors the main display.

    Hi,

    I'm considering the Ipad pro for annotating any type of documents in order to search for the notes.

    I would like to know how the annotation feature works on IpadOS.

    Can I annotate any type of document ?

    Where are the annotations stored ? in each document or in a central database ? If a in DB, is there a way to query it ?
    Can I search through all the annotations I made ?

    is miniled overhyped?

    IYHO What do you think guys about mini-led vs current displays of the iPad pro 2018/2020(IPS LCD which is called liquid retina)?

    in my opinion miniled is better and cheaper of course, but to what extent? it is not a huge jump in image quality, ips lcd are well known for their image quality and sharpness.

    Is there anything I can do with a locked ipad?

    I have an ipad that I wasnt able to get the password for so I reinstalled the os . Stupid me should have just kept trying passwords... I probably could have guessed my mom's password.

    Note she got it second hand so it is registered to someone else. I tried calling apple to try to find out who its registered to be they wouldnt tell me.

    TIL that accounts and passwords in apps like google, gmail, youtube, Microsoft apps are saved in ipad such that if you uninstall and reinstall these apps you don't have to login to your accounts again. These apps will open automatically logged in to your accounts after installation. Is there any way I can remove my accounts and passwords from these apps without resetting my ipad?

    Forgive me if the language is not clear. English is not my first language. Any help will be highly appreciated.

    iPad Pro can't find WiFi well

    Hello,

    I recently got an iPad Pro WiFi model and have noticed that it's not the best at detecting WiFi signal. I'd be sitting at the exact same spot and my iPhone and Macbook are able to find and connect to a WiFi network, but my iPad won't even have that network on its list of possible connections. Granted, the signal isn't the strongest, but I feel like if my other devices can find and connect to it, this shouldn't be an issue. Sometimes, if I sit there and wait for long enough, the network would finally appear on the iPad's networks' list. Takes a few minutes. Once the device is connected, it stays connected.

    Why is this happening, and what can I do about it? Is it a hardware or software issue? Are iPads just worse than Macs and iPhones at picking up WiFi signal? I got my device in a different country and am using it in the US--could this be the cause?

    Nintendo Switch power brick adapter (39W) suitable for iPad Pro?

    So I have a Switch with its original power brick with a USB-C connection, and the current delivery profiles are 7.5W (5V/1.5A) and 39W (15V/2.6A). Now considering the iPad Pro only takes a max of 30W, does this mean I can use this for an iPad Pro instead of having to buy Apple's 30W power brick adapter + USB-C cable?

    In theory it should, but not sure whether it's recommended or whether it achieves that 30W output for the iPad Pro..

    Magic Mouse 2 issues on iPad Pro 2020 running iPadOS 13.6

    While using MM2 sometimes when it sleeps it takes more time to wake up like after using the click buttons of moving the mouse vigorously. Sometimes the cursor lags too but that has been fixed since I have cleaned the sensor. Please tell if this is a normal thing with magic mouse 2 as I have bought it weeks ago.

    Does your magic keyboard also make a small but noticeable buzzing noise when connected to power using the power adapter that comes with the iPad Pro?

    I found that when the keyboard is connected to a computer, the noise is barely audible, but when it's connected directly to a power outlet using the 18W power adapter, it becomes quite noticeable (only when the iPad Pro is attached to it).

    Mobile workstation replacement: Ipad pro + remote desktop?

    Some background information:

    I'll be starting post graduate studies soon and I'm looking at replacing my current laptop (MS Surface Pro 4). The studies is a research based program and will be heavy on data analytics, programming, writing etc.

    To save on the cost of getting a "powerful" laptop, I'm thinking of the mentioned setup and retain mobile functionalities of the ipad, especially with the apple pen & annotations on PDFs, and remote in on a "on demand" basis when more power is needed. The remote desktop workstation will be windows based.

    Questions:

    1. This setup is this setup viable in a practical sense? Is it cumblesome to remote in?
    2. Any issues with using the mouse? Right clicking capabilities?
    3. How will remote desktop work on the ipad? Will I be able to run ipad apps on one half of the screen, and a "windows app" on the right half of the screen?
    4. How will this setup work on multiple monitors attached to the ipad? Say.. ipad on monitor 1, windows on monitor 2 & 3?
    5. I see this as a best of both worlds solution. Am i missing something out? Is there any compromise on either end?
