It's such a shame you can't buy the non iap/ad ridden versions of the classic popcap games

    Posted: 29 Jul 2020 07:40 AM PDT

The original bejeweled and it's sequel, peggle, plant vs zombies, Zuma....those were some of the best casual games of all times and they still hold up pretty well....sadly they are either gone completely or replaced by iap hell

Guardian Tales is out! The free Zelda esq 2d linear adventure game!

This one looks like a lot of fun, it's a funny light hearted game with gameplay inspired by Zelda: Link to the Past.

Any good multiplayer platformer game for 2 players?

I want to play with my friend, not against him. Not local because he lives far away.

    New Idle RuneScape Game

    Posted: 29 Jul 2020 06:08 AM PDT

Just wanted to share a game I just found which is surprisingly fun, easy and basically RuneScape.

    Melvor Idle -

Edit - Most people are seeming to want a tutorial. I found it quite easy to pick up with my RuneScape background. I think someone should let the devs know and then one will prolly be implemented.

    Plague Defender Soft Launch {Promo}

    Posted: 28 Jul 2020 08:08 PM PDT

Game is available in Canada and Singapore. I'm playing the game in USA because I side-loaded it.

Here are my initial thoughts about the game. It is a mix of Random Dice with the ability to attack your opponents too. So you can play actively, not just passively.

If you are too busy to watch the video:

it feels like a mix of Random Dice with Bloons TD. The game is also really polished and in my opinion having "cells" instead of dice gives the game lots of personality.

Here is a subreddit for this game.

ELI5: Apple Arcade. Like, really really basic. I can’t understand it at all.

    Posted: 29 Jul 2020 06:55 AM PDT

I understand this is a subscription in the App Store to get certain app's for "free" since you're paying the subscription...correct me if i'm wrong.

Outside of that, WHY would ANYONE want to do this?! I've played so many games on the App Store since iPhone 3gs. And i've just bought the games i've liked. Not many costing more than $5, most being free games though. I have enjoyed iOS gaming so much i've purchased iPad(s) for my iOS gaming experience.

So how does spending money each month make financial sense when i'm already buying games? What did Apple Arcade offer the app store? More games that are ONLY available through Apple Arcade? If thats the case, why even put it on the App Store? If it's two separate things, rught? If I can't have an app thats on Apple Arcade, why do i see Apple Arcade on the app store?

Are only certain games available during certain months? So do i only get a month to play a certain game? So is this like a game rental? How many people are able to play so many games as well that they need an App Store plus an Apple Arcade for more games?

Apple Arcade has never made any sense to me, if anyone would take the time to make this easy for me, i would greatly appreciate it. Thanks!

    Favorite Archero style game?

    Posted: 28 Jul 2020 01:24 PM PDT

I have been seeing ads for lots of these games lately. I enjoy the style of them and am currently playing a lot of Mr. Autofire. Are there any other highly polished and regularly updated games in the same style?

Looking for a new lunch break game

    Posted: 28 Jul 2020 05:33 PM PDT

Just beat the first Ace Attorney game, and while I did get the trilogy and will play all of them, I want something else first as a "palette cleanser." I did like the general setup of the Ace Attorney games for a lunchtime game. I liked how it's generally low pressure, story heavy, doesn't require any fast reflexes or timing, and I can save whenever I want without losing any progress. I'd be interested in other visual novel type games with some gameplay or other laid back games, maybe a point and click adventure that doesn't require too much moon logic or an RPG with forgiving mechanics and lots of save points. Or a puzzle game with a good and present story. Or a Match-3 RPG with a good story and no micro transactions, but I think I already played all the really good ones.

Some other games I enjoyed on my lunch break included Gorogora, Donut County, The Professor Layton games, and Ghost Trick Phantom Detective. Any other suggestions? Thanks!
