    Free non-scummy Word Processor app suggestions?

    Every free word processing App I've come across either stores files in their own cloud and requires me to upgrade to the paid version to save on my local device (ew), forces me to watch ads at regular intervals or has intrusive banner ads on-screen (no), or asks for an absurd amount of Permissions and/or has a monstrous EULA that basically says they own everything on my iPad if I install (not happening).

    I just want basic word processing that's any degree more robust than Notes. I am not jailbroken and can't risk it, and I've never sideloaded anything, but I'd be willing to learn if it means a good, free, non-scummy writing app.

    I've tried a few things and nothing really stands out to me as being more convenient - reachability was the closest I got, but even then it happened accidentally a few too many times for my liking.

    I decided to update my 6s plus to iOS 14, and I am finding a ton of bugs. Widgets seem to be out all the time, they don't update the information, I get the same screen on time info all the time. Moreover some apps don't even launch, like Amazon music or Pokémon go, they don't mind if I retry installing them. It's a pain in the ass. Also, it is freaking laggy and stutters almost every time. It's just me or are you experiencing the same?

    If you're going to set your double back tap to screenshot you're going to end up with 1700 a day accidental screenshots.

    Is there anything that can fix the double back taps accidentally being triggered constantly? Triple seems to work effectively.

    very low scale distributing of IOS apps to Iphone Users

    Hey guys! don't know if this is the right place to post. I have this IoT product I intend to sell that's very low volume (50-150). the product comes with a phone app for IOS and Android. my problem is i don't think my profit margins are enough to afford the 100USD per year apple store dev fee.(selling in Egypt so 100USD is quite a bit of money) was wondering how I could make users install my app without depending on the apple store. note:the users in question are mainly non-techy people.

    TLDR: How to distribute small scale IOS apps without the apple store.

    Why cant Apple, the king of ecosystems and integration get Apple Music/Podcasts/Media controls right?

    I am deep into the Apple ecosystem. I love it, but it has limitations which makes no sense to me.

    I own a ton of HomePods. I bought them because for their price and small footprint they offer a fantastic sound. Apple Music works best with HomePods (this could change with ios14 and its ability to set a default service). I currently use Apple music between a Mac, iPad pro, iPhone, Airpods pros and Homepod.

    I can do amazing things like handoff from my phone to homepod and back again. I can control the volume of my homepod on my apple watch. Amazing. But what I cant do seems simpler than all of this, yet Apple don't do allow it?!

    • I cant switch device and continue playback on that device. (Spotify works flawlessly for this)

      • I cant get halfway through a podcast and come back to it later in the day, as its forgotten what point I stopped listening at.

    • I cant swipe down on control centre and control the playback for all of my devices. I should be able to control all of my apple devices media controls like I can my HomePod via my phone or watch.

    Is there a reason these limitations exist in the Apple ecosystem?

    Looking for people management app

    I have a ton of friends and family who I like to help out with things, whether it's finding them a new place to move, checking in on them if they have personal issues they need someone for, or just someone I haven't talked to in a while that I'd like to catch up with.

    Are there any apps that can help me do this? A big plus would be reminders for specific contacts that I can see all in one place.

    On my Galazy S9+, I have Pro mode on my phone camera that allows me to select the ISO, F-stop, white balance, and even manual focus. I received my new iPhone 11 Pro Max yesterday and I'm wondering if there's an app on iOS that can do that.
