Hi, I am bringing Unwind—a mindful breathing app—on the Watch as an independent app Posted: 06 Jul 2020 04:17 AM PDT Hi Reddit, I am Kushagra, the developer behind Unwind - Mindful Breathing. Unwind is more than just another breathing app. Unwind solves three problems:
Unwind does that by using a combination of breathing exercises and background ambiances. The three different breathing exercises tackle each problem uniquely, and you can feel the results instantly. Ambiances help you when you want a change of surroundings and want to sort of escape for a while. The combination of breathing exercises with the ambiance of your choice becomes very powerful. For the past month, I've been working on an independent Watch app for Unwind, which has the same three exercises, but it has an added benefit. The Watch app shows you the change in your heart rate after you finish your session. Also, while performing a breathing exercise on your Watch, you don't have to look at the screen at all—you'll know when to breathe in, breathe out, and hold by feeling the haptic touches on your wrist. After testing it with several users over a couple of weeks, I can confidently say that Unwind works wonders to calm you down in stressful situations + help you fall asleep quicker. Here are some of my results: [1] [2] [3] The data also syncs to the iOS counterpart app automatically if you want to see the stats/history in detail. You can access the public beta of Unwind here: https://testflight.apple.com/join/g6EBWpjP I'd love to hear your thoughts. Thank you! [link] [comments]

Posted: 06 Jul 2020 08:10 AM PDT Apple really needs to add a sick mode to the Apple watch. It's very disheartening being reminded to stand up every hour while I'm fighting covid. They can add something like a washing your hands reminder but not a sick mode? It really makes me not want to wear my watch right now. [link] [comments]
Why is distance text color in Outdoor Walk blue vs wife's in white? Posted: 06 Jul 2020 07:44 AM PDT Today I went out for an outdoor walk with my wife, we both started the Outdoor Walk activity in Apple Watch, but my wife's distance text color was white while mine's was blue. Why the different colors? [link] [comments]
For those who’ve owned both the Sport and Stainless Steel versions Posted: 06 Jul 2020 02:21 AM PDT Hi there! I've only owned the Sport versions of Apple Watch. I've been considering the stainless steel version but haven't gotten it yet due to the higher price tag and knowing the watch is something I will be replacing every few years. However, maybe this year is the time to upgrade 🙂 I'd love to hear the opinions from people who have owned both versions. I'm curious about:
I know I can check this out in the store but I'm curious to hear from people who has used them both for a while :) [link] [comments]
Resetting Without Password Question Posted: 06 Jul 2020 07:23 AM PDT Bought a watch from ebay that I am trying to fix and the iCloud is removed but the watch was broken to begin with so they were unable to factory reset the watch. It is a series 3 and I try to force touch the power button on the charger but the "erase to factory settings" is not coming up, what am I doing wrong? [link] [comments]
Toy Story watch faces should incorporate an “Andy’s Coming” feature. Posted: 06 Jul 2020 07:14 AM PDT This would be gimmicky but I think it would be fun. [link] [comments]

Is there a way to remove exercise minutes from Activity? Posted: 06 Jul 2020 06:52 AM PDT Last year, I accidentally manually added a workout with the wrong times, so 778 exercise minutes was recorded for the day. I've edited the workout time and deleted the "Exercise Minutes" data from Health, but 778 minutes still remain on the "Activity" data. Also, is there a way to reset an award? Because of this, my new exercise record award is stuck on 778 minutes. [link] [comments]

Raise-To-Wake Not Working - HELP! Posted: 06 Jul 2020 08:05 AM PDT Hi! I have a Series 5 Apple Watch. I love it immensely, and have enjoyed using it for a number of months. However, I've discovered an issue that recently started. I have always used the Alway On feature with the Wrist Raise feature enabled. So, after a period of inactivity, when I raise my wrist to use the watch or command Siri, the rest screen goes away and the watch is active. However, during the last few days, Wrist Raise hasn't been working; I raise my wrist and the rest screen stays, displaying a transparent screen over my app with just the time. Two things have happened recently that concern me: 1.) Update. I recently got an update to my watch and I can't remember if Raise-to-Wake has worked since then, and; 2.) Water. I know the Series 5 is water resistant, and even shows swimming in the workout app. I wanted to do my first swimming workout the other day, so I set the workout app, and jumped right in. I'm worried this may be part of the issues I'm experiencing. Any one have similar issues, or experience issues with Wrist Raise or wake-screen? I'm hoping for suggestions on how to proceed. Reset the watch? Contact Apple? Give it a while and see if another update comes around? Thanks for any help offered! [link] [comments]
Apple watch black screen and overheat while charging Posted: 06 Jul 2020 01:22 AM PDT (sorry for the long details) Hey guys So i bought my apple watch series 4 about 2 months ago its been working fine but yesterday i was going for a swim it was the first time ever swimming while i had my apple watch on i was trying to test the "swimming feature" but i had a bad feelint about it so i started by just putting my wrist into the water (before doing this i enabled the "lock mode?" From the control center) then when i tried to turn the crown to unlock the lock mode thr apple watch didn't want to unlock and suddenly turned off so i immediately removed it from my hand and put it on a desk ofc i dried it with a towel and it seemed to turn on so after a 30 minutes swim i came back to my hotel room then noticed my apple watch won't turn on i plugged it into the magnetic charger and it gave me the green "snake" screen but after then i left to charge for more then 4 hours and all it does it get so hot but doesn't turn on i searched all over the internet i think its a battery problem and that i will have to buy a new watch (hopefully not) but found a video on youtubr saying i should just leaveit for 2 days until it dies then plug it again and wait for it to turn on ? If anyone has a suggestion i will appreciate it . [link] [comments]
