Apple Watch Got a new watch face. |
- Got a new watch face.
- Android user from 2010-2019. Got an iPhone in January and now in a quick 7 months I’m all in on the ecosystem after my wife gifted me the Apple Watch. It’s my favourite!
- First time closing all rings since I’ve had my Apple Watch, super proud of myself
- Listen to what your Apple Watch tells you about your heart
- My bands collection...
- Wanted to set a timer with Siri, as I usually do. She replied with "Clock-app is not installed".
- My first Apple Watch! Received it today! (Series 3, 38mm)
- Milestones for Watch - Alternative activity challenges made exclusively for Apple Watch
- Just picked up this watch from a friend who upgraded and to my surprise it doesn’t boot. I’m guessing the battery got so dead that it’s not even able to charge. Does anyone in the community have this same problem and know how to fix it?
- First time closing my rings!! Kinda happy thought
- Meme background, always has been
- My first Apple Watch came in today. I am in love with everything about it . Any app recommendations? (S3, 42mm)
- I’ve been using the wrong wallpaper all along.
- My apps won’t download
- My first metal link band for my Apple Watch
- What makes a man go neutral?

Listen to what your Apple Watch tells you about your heart Posted: 28 Jul 2020 05:24 PM PDT Hi everybody, I'm a 25 year old female. I'm overall healthy minus a neuro autoimmune disorder affecting my CNS and ulnar nerve which I take medications for. I wear my series 3 pretty much daily. I may skip a few days here and there. I would randomly get alerts about my resting heart rate being too high or too low. I blew it off every time thinking it wasn't positioned right and there was no way my heart rate was 47 or 165. Yesterday, I managed to pass out at my kitchen table falling on to the floor. I woke up with my parents around me trying to wake me up. For a few minutes, I was out cold. I eventually woke up and came to. I called my primary doctor to find out if I should get checked out or just move on with my life as this happened a couple years ago with dehydration being the lab proven cause. They asked me questions and what alarmed them was I didn't have recollection of the prior moments. They sent me to urgent care. Urgent care was super concerned, they sent me to the ER. The ER performed several blood tests, scans, and EKGs of my heart. The only thing raising a red fag was my heart rate. I was averaging 120-130 bpm resting. They ruled out a PE and anything that could basically kill me. Unfortunately they sent me home at 1am this morning. They told me to follow up with my pcp, iv anesthesiologists (treating my CNS disorder), and cardiology. Cardiology saw me this morning and scheduled an echo for 8/10. My anesthesiologists called me when he got the message VERY concerned saying one of my nerve medications is causing an arrhythmia issue in my heart! I was instructed to stop this cold turkey. Needless to say, I went out and bought a series 5 for piece of mind. I enabled the fall detection and ECG feature. I'll be wearing it as close to 24/7 as I can. Bottom line: wear your watch, listen to what it tells you about your body. Thank you Apple Watch. For those interested - I did send Tim Cook a thank you e-mail - Dear Tim, My name is Nicole. I have been an Apple user since I can remember. I was the first kid in school to have the iPod touch, I pre-order my iPhone every two years, I own a MacBook, and the 2020 iPad Pro with the MK. Needless to say, I am invested in the products. But let's get to the part about why I'm writing you this e-mail and how your product could've saved my heart and possibly even my life. I'm an overall, normal 25 year old who is healthy minus a neuro autoimmune disorder affecting my CNS and ulnar nerve which I take medications for. I've worn my series 3 watch pretty much daily. I may skip a few days here and there. But, I would randomly get alerts about my resting heart rate being too high or too low. I blew it off every time thinking it wasn't positioned right and there was no way my heart rate was 47 or 165. I felt fine! Yesterday (7/27), I managed to pass out at my kitchen table falling on to the floor. I woke up with my parents around me trying to wake me up. For a few minutes, I was out cold. I eventually woke up and came to, I called my primary doctor to find out if I should get checked out or just move on with my life as this happened a couple of years ago with dehydration being the lab proven cause. They asked me questions and what alarmed them was I didn't have a recollection of the prior moments. They sent me to urgent care. Urgent care was super concerned, they sent me to the ER. The ER performed several blood tests, scans, and EKGs of my heart. The only thing raising a red fag was my heart rate. I was averaging 120-130 bpm resting. They asked if I ever had a heart problem or something of this nature. For me, it all clicked. My watch predicted this WEEKS prior to this episode. They ruled out a PE and anything that could basically kill me. They told me to follow up with my pcp, iv anesthesiologists (treating my CNS disorder), and cardiology. Cardiology saw me this morning and agreed, something is going on within my heart and I was scheduled for further appointments and tests. My anesthesiologists called me when he got the message VERY concerned saying one of my nerve medications is causing an arrhythmia issue in my heart! I was instructed to stop this medication cold turkey. The signs were there, I completely ignored them when I got the alerts. However, I am SO thankful that my watch was able to alert me so when my body finally gave out, I was able to tell the doctors "well actually… I've gotten alerts on my watch about my heart". Without this, I don't know if my heart was going to be looked at further and maybe the doctors would've written it off as a fluke. I could have been at the wheel of a car when this happened to injure myself or others or I could have had further episodes of this possibly leading to major injuries or worse. We caught this early enough that my doctor thinks I won't have lasting problems or longterm damage to my heart according to the preliminary EKG. Needless to say, tonight, I went out and bought a series 5 for peace of mind. I enabled the fall detection and ECG feature. I'll be wearing it as close to 24/7 as I can. I will be tracking my heart rate daily. I have peace of mind knowing I have a device that can monitor me and alert me to problems I wouldn't otherwise know exist. If I were to have another fainting episode, I know there is something on my wrist who may be able to alert for help when I can't. We can all rest a little bit easier tonight. Thank you Apple Watch, thank you Tim, and those at Apple. From the bottom of my heart (pun is very much intended), Nicole xxxxxxxxx [link] [comments]

What's the best app/method to record and export "raw" GPS data from an activity? Posted: 29 Jul 2020 07:09 AM PDT I'd like to compare my Apple Watch to my Garmin Fenix 3HR in terms of GPS accuracy. I can easily load data from my Fenix, but what is the best way to capture the original, unedited/processed raw GPS data from the Apple Watch? Thanks [link] [comments]

Swimming with Apple Watch that has a Case Posted: 29 Jul 2020 06:48 AM PDT Has anyone here swam with an Apple Watch that had a case on it? I am hoping to swim with my Series 4, but I don't know if the case interferes with the water proof. What do you guys think? [link] [comments]
