- Ran my first ever 5K after my hip crumbled during chemo
- Why bother with complications when I can have my dog instead
- Started in Oct 2017 and now I’m here.
- Can't wait to jump 5 generations, waiting for the series 6 this September, sitting on the series 0.
- Update: Thank you all for the support! Unfortunately I couldn’t make it to 100k, my feet started hurting a lot more than before, and I was super tired. Of course I’m not dumb enough to keep hurting myself, so I stopped. But I am proud of the number I achieved!
- As someone who suffers from depression and anxiety, having a friend on my wrist that motivates me is really awesome.
- Out of all of the available faces, this one right here feels like it is both one of the most aesthetically elegant as well as information-dense faces Apple offers. Since it ticks all of the boxes for me, while offering a digital time option, I think it’s my favorite. Do you guys have a “go to” face?
- Why and how did this happened Series 4 44mm
- Scratches at a level 6, with deeper grooves at a level 7. Cry with me because I’ve only had this thing for just over a week.
- Why does it keep calling me iMac and how do I fix it?
- I didn’t run across the highway and back. Anyone else have issues with the S5 gps sometimes?
- Can anybody beat this? Longest I've ever walked by far
- do chimes on apple watch stop when you take it off
- My little one + New watch + Music
- So I’ve been wearing my Apple Watch all day because of sleep tracking, and well it’s giving me love bites.
- Fitbit shows 16,889 steps, Apple Watch shows 12, 677 steps - which should I trust?

I had suspected my AW was underreporting steps but it's way different from my Charge 2. Which should I believe? [link] [comments]

podcast syncing problems and switching to outcast Posted: 08 Jul 2020 07:30 AM PDT I'm posting this in case anyone is having similar issues and searches the sub. I had seen several posts about problems with the native podcasts app, but I did not run into any issues myself until recently. Before, I had mainly synced over weekly podcasts or limited series that had already completed their runs. No need to fetch new episodes regularly. However, I ran into trouble when I started to incorporate a few morning newscasts into my exercise routine. Using the stock podcast app on the phone/watch, I selected three morning news roundup type podcasts. I set them the night before and expected them to download and sync when they were posted in the early a.m. When I woke up, I took my watch off the charger, about an hour after all these podcasts normally post, and I went for a walk. Icons for all the casts were in the app, but I did not pay any mind to the episode date/number. A few seconds into the first newscast, I realized it had only synced the previous day's episodes. I went back home to put the watch back on the charger and move the newest episodes over. Even though they were set to automatically download to the phone, they hadn't, and I had to manually download each episode. Then I started the long wait to sync. I never got past an updating/pending notification at the top of the phone screen (in the podcast section of the phone's watch app). I gave it 30 minutes; because of upcoming rain I needed to get my rings closed. Only one episode partially moved over and cut out halfway. The next day I tried Overcast when the exact same issues happened (no new episode, only yesterday's). I put the watch on the charger, selected the same podcasts in Overcast, and waited plenty of time for them to move over. All indications in both phone & watch apps were that they had moved to the watch. Then I started my walk, and none of the podcasts would play. They had not downloaded. Then I tried another option I had seen posted, Outcast. This is the one that finally worked. I was able to find all the same podcasts, favorite them on the phone, and add them to the watch's list. It was well worth the 99c. Here's why: I can manually download the episodes, straight from the watch. On top of that, I get a progress bar indicating how much of the download is left. So instead of waiting for "pending/updating" with no indication of time left, you have an idea that you're at least making progress. It also prompts you to turn off bluetooth if you want to and move the files to the watch over wifi, which is faster. Even leaving bluetooth on, moving was quick and easy. No waiting for it to "just work" and then not working. If anyone has any tips, suggestions or criticisms of the native podcasts app, Overcast, or Outcast, please let me know. I'm probably not going to switch from the setup I have now, but I'd like some insight into what I may have been doing wrong with the native app and Overcast. Thanks and hope everyone enjoys their watch. [link] [comments]
GPS issues with apple watch 3 on iphone X Posted: 08 Jul 2020 06:52 AM PDT Hi! Hopefully someone are able to help me out a bit here. My girlfriend had a apple watch s2 that i replaced with a s3 due to these issues. The issues persists still after replacing the watch so there must be something else. We run/walk a route everyday for training. I myself have a apple watch 4 with iphone 11 pro. When starting the activity we start on the same spot but after every kilometer our watch differs in registering the correct kilometer. Mine is correct because every day it counts 1,2,3,4,5 kilometers correctly. Hers differs up to 200 meters in 5 kilometers. We have tried recalibrating the watch and it seemed correct when not bringing the phone, but back to shit again when she brings it. Any ideas? Would be greatful if anyone has a fix on it [link] [comments]
Anuone using the beta on series 5 watch? Posted: 08 Jul 2020 06:34 AM PDT I was wondering if the beta is stable to use on your watch. Yesterday i installed the IOS 14 beta on my iphone 8 and it is running very good so i was wondering..... :) [link] [comments]
Notifications on watch while phone is unlocked Posted: 08 Jul 2020 06:29 AM PDT I find it I credibly stupid that there is no option to have notifications go to the Watch while the phone is unlocked. I know about turning off wrist detection, but that takes away features from the watch such as raise to wake. I usually keep my phone on DND during the day, but sometimes use the phone but then don't receive notifications! [link] [comments] |
