Is there an external device I can buy to enable recording on apple tv? Posted: 22 Jul 2020 06:31 PM PDT My mom recently switched over to spectrum, and she still uses cable so they sent her a couple of apple TVs. Shes quite upset because she cant record and store shows on it. Is there an external device I can connect to the apple TV that would enable this feature? Sadly apple tv doesn't allow you to return after you've opened the package, which means we cant even switch over to the spectrum receiver. [link] [comments]

Is it possible to view play history? Posted: 23 Jul 2020 03:45 AM PDT I have a lot of connected apps and channels, and I watch way too many movies and shows. It would help if I could remember what it is I've watched! Apple knows at least enough to show me what to play next, but is there a way I can see that data myself? [link] [comments]
Posted: 22 Jul 2020 04:49 PM PDT Is there any way to reset the connected app list? I know that they can be turned off and what not but is there anyway to remove something or if is there a way to clean it up? Example, someone I lived with installed Telemundo, and now it'll never get installed again. But it's still on the list [link] [comments]
Organising iTunes movie purchases Posted: 22 Jul 2020 05:35 AM PDT I've recently started buying more movies on iTunes, because I realised all the sales Apple throws on a regular basis (got all the Aliens movies for $20AUD, so I'm happy). Only now, actually getting through my library has become a slog. Is there a way to organise my movies into categories or folders? I'd love to have one for all the MCU movies, especially. Or are there alternative apps that I could use for this? [link] [comments]
Posted: 22 Jul 2020 12:00 PM PDT I have my Apple TV 4Kconnected to a PC monitor which has no built in speakers. To remedy that, I have an old iPod HiFi speaker that I'm using as a sound bar via its aux input (from my monitor's 3.5mm audio out). The speaker was an official Apple product from 2006 and it comes with the white Apple IR remote that also shipped with the gen 1 Apple TV. I can get my Apple TV 4K to learn the volume up/down of the gen 1 Apple remote. However, when I try to control the volume using my Siri remote, there's no response on the speaker. It's as if it's some kind of incompatible infrared. Surely not? [link] [comments]
Posted: 22 Jul 2020 11:41 AM PDT Does this happen to anyone else? I have AttTV Now on my Apple TV. I don't use the app every day, but probably about 2 to 4 times per week. Each time I access it, I get a message saying there was an error, and it asks me to log in again. If I use it twice in the same day, there is no problem. Is there some reason the password isn't saving? Is there some fix to this? It is very frustrating to have to do this each other day when I want to watch some TV. [link] [comments]

Posted: 22 Jul 2020 11:20 AM PDT Looking to get an Apple TV 4K, but I want to take advantage of Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos. My TV supports both these formats but I only have 2 18 GB per second HDMI ports in my TV and they are both taken up right now. From what I can tell my other HDMI port support 4K and Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos But are not listed as 18 GB per second ports. What kind of port requirements am I needing to take full advantage of the video quality of the Apple TV 4K? [link] [comments]
Posted: 22 Jul 2020 06:29 AM PDT About to buy a second-hand Gen 3 just for the bedroom, YouTube and Netflix - are these apps still supported and working on the old gen 3 Apple TV or will I have problems? I have gen 4 in the lounge room. Thanks. [link] [comments]

Posted: 22 Jul 2020 10:39 AM PDT I have an Apple TV 4K. It has a great picture on a 4K tv. I need another one, I keep waiting and checking on a regular basis for Apple to release a new one. I would rather buy the latest device. I hope we are not waiting till September or longer .... [link] [comments] |
