    Anyone having new issues with Up Next?

    Shows keep popping in and out of Up Next. Completed episodes are returning as if unwatched and random purchased movies are showing up.

    This has started over the last couple of days; I noticed it at first with Peacock shows, so figured that was the issue, but it's happening with ATV Channels and other connected apps besides Peacock.

    Anyone else dealing with this? It's happening on the Apple TV box as well as iOS Apple TV app.

    I've had my AppleTV for a week now

    It replaced a Roku 3 I had been using for years. I was happy with the Roku 3, but was really annoyed that it did not have HBO Max. I was looking at options and was able to buy a 32 GB AppleTV 4K through work for free. We have a rewards system at work, where you can be awarded points by coworkers for doing good work and then you can you use those points to buy stuff out of a catalog. After 2 1/2 years of saving points, I could get the Apple TV.

    And I'm VERY impressed with it. I have to say that "What did he/she say?" is worth the price of the box, alone. For it to snap back AND turn on subtitles is just BRILLIANT.

    I've heard bad things about the remote. But so far I am liking it. I haven't had to fast forward or rewind anything yet (thanks to the above mentioned feature), so I don't know how that's going to go. But setting up the remote to control the volume of my receiver was insanely simple.

    This is a movie I bought and is in my library.

    Apple TV app acting weird

    Anybody seeing weird behavior from the apple tv app? Not sure if it was the last update or not, but shows keep jumping back to episodes i've already watched and purchased movies aren't showing up

    I've searched all over for info on this and everything points to it being the norm with no way to fix. Thought I'd check here in case I'm missing something.

    I bought the "Complete Series" of 30 Rock, Deadwood and The West Wing fairly recently. However, the Apple TV won't auto play and if you click on the next episode in the "Up Next" queue, it asks you to buy again.

    I know this happens when licences change, content gets removed etc. But in this case If I got to the "Complete Series" in iTunes it states "Purchased" and I can still play from the library - although that's a pain and defeats a big part of the Apps functionality.

    Just to make it more annoying and inconsistent, on iPhone and iPad the episodes auto play one after the other with no issues and "Up Next" in the TV App works fine.

    Reported to Apple but not sure it'll change. Am I missing something or is this how it is for everybody?

    I'm running a 5.1 Sonos setup connected in my lounge through the television with an Apple TV as the main media playback device. Simple question, is it possible within the Apple TV's settings to up-mix a stereo 2.0 input signal into 5.0? I'd love my rear speakers to be able to clone the from left and right channels when I'm for example playing a video with a stereo track in VLC. Is this possible?

    AppleTV CEC Audio Control with Apple Watch

    I have an AppleTV 4K going to a Yamaha receiver that then goes to an LG TV. This is out in my pool cabana. It works perfectly, everything turns on/off automatically and volume control works with both the Apple TV remote and my iPhone using the remote functions. I can control the Apple TV functions from my Apple Watch, but the volume function doesn't work, it's just not available. If I'm AirPlaying or Bluetooth streaming from my phone, the Watch can control the phone's volume to the receiver, but when using AppleTV natively to play music/videos, the Watch app can't do volume.

    It's not a huge deal, but I'd like to be able to adjust volume while floating or swimming where I only have the watch nearby. Is this just a known limitation, it seems strange because volume control works in other scenarios, just seems like a miss from Apple.

    PROBLEM WITH APPLE TV + on my apple tv 3rd gen

    Hi everybody, hopd y'all can help me!! I have an apple tv 3rd generation, and i live in argentina. I recently suscribed to apple tv + and i have been watching it on my phone and computer. The problem shows up when i try to watch it on my apple tv 3rd gen, i have no idea why it doesn't let me to see it.

    I have tried everything, i put my account, i even checked the software update. I tried subscribing again but this time from the apple tv, and 0 results

    Can you help me? I would really appreciate it.

    a couple weird apple tv problems (remote volumes, spring board failure, apple watch remote)

    loving my apple tv. was so late to the game, but that's mostly because i didn't have access to an actual tv. i'm having 3 weird problems:

    1. i don't know that it's called springboard on an apple tv, but, mine… doesn't respond (hardware or software remotes). i know it can't be force-quit like other apps, but, i'm guessing that's all it is. probably a restart will fix.

    2. hardware volume buttons on some ipados/ios devices work for volume, but some do not. i can't figure this one out, either. i have found selecting it via control center gives pretty nice controls on the lock screen widget, but it'd be nice to control it "in-app."

    3. last—is there any way to use the my apple watch to control it? the remote app i have on there feels like it was designed to control itunes like 4 os's ago. scratch this. not sure what's up—but, now, for the first time, as i double check myself, apple watch remote.app works.

    Best way to watch MLB Channel?

    I'm puzzled though that the mlb app doesn't include mlb channel (subscriber through directv).

    Is there a good app out there that allows MLB channel?

    Missing or delayed content in Apple TV Channels

    I have been having a problem with Apple TV Channels where some content from the network is delayed before becoming available in the respective Apple TV channel. The delay can be days, weeks, or even over a month. If I check the content in the network's app, the network's Hulu add-on, or in the network's Amazon channel, the content is always there at the same time it is released on the network. So, the delay appears to be only with Apple. Apple may have the content. But the aggregation in the TV app is missing the play button for Apple TV Channels. So, of course, you cannot watch the movie. The buttons to play under the Hulu add-on, the Amazon channel or the network's app are all there. I can see the problem on the Apple TV, on my iPhones and on my Mac. When I have the problem, I can go to another person's device and see the same issue. So, the problem is not on my end. In the past, I have called Apple support and after a very lengthy process they fix the aggregation for the movie or the process is so long that the movie finally shows properly. Calling Apple for this takes an exceptionally long time because most of the support people I have worked with do not understand the difference between an Apple TV channel and the network's app. This most recently occurred with four movies released on different dates on STARZ. One of the movies was released to STARZ back in April. I finally placed a call to Apple in the last week in June. After going back and forth for three weeks, creating screen shots and screen movies, and being asked to reinstall the STARZ app (which I do not even have installed), Apple finally responded and said, "Call STARZ. STARZ controls the content that is on the Apple TV STARZ channel." I called STARZ and of course, as expected, they told me to call Apple because Apple is in control of Apple TV Channels.

    At this point, I do not know what to do. In my opinion, this is 100% an Apple issue. If the problem is a STARZ issue, the argument I would have for Apple is why is STARZ treating Apple customers differently than they are treating Apple's competitors that also offer "channels" in their platform. None of them appear to have this issue. I know I am not the only person that has seen this behavior because I have seen it reported in reddit. But I do not know what to do if Apple tells me to contact STARZ and STARZ tells me to contact Apple. I do not believe Apple has any way to further escalate an issue. The support person suggest that I submit feedback

    Any help is appreciated.

    Xcode broke with newest update?

    Desktop TV App keeps reverting individual episode artwork to series main logo?

    Basic issue: running Catalina and trying to get my media organized in the TV app. Specifically wanting to get my various series and their individual episodes neatly annotated and thumbnailed.

    I set the series default logo image first and made sure all episodes were loaded and good.

    Then I proceeded to carefully "Get Info" on each individual episode, update its info, and in particular Add Artwork to give the episode its own unique thumbnail image.

    All seems fine until mysteriously about 75-90 percent done...and then poof, suddenly the series default image has somehow changed to the one I most recently entered into an episode. And of course if I try to correct this--by going into the series master entry and changing its artwork back to the main series logo--it automatically goes and immediately overwrites all my hard work and changes all the individual episode images back to the master logo default.

    Any idea why this is happening and more importantly how to stop it? I've tried twice now with one of my shorter series and I don't look forward to trying with any of my longer series that span years of episodes and have this crap happen all over again. Searches through various Apple support and Mac afficionado forums haven't seemed to come up with this issue or an answer.

    My TV has Apple Air Play and is also a Smart Tv (Vizio). I get all my apps and able to stream from phone to TV but should I get Apple TV is there anything I'm missing out on?

    Buy a Firestick4k for Atmos in Prime?

    Bought a lot of UHD content from Amazon (for playback on AppleTV4k) - recently upgraded to an Atmos setup and annoyed to find that Amazon doesn't stream Atmos to AppleTV.

    Wondering if I should buy a Firestick4k (just for my Prime content) to get Atmos or wait (and hope that Amazon changes how they stream)?

    I just subscribed to Apple TV (really just trying their free trial), but when I go to other movies/series it says I have to purchase them? Is AppleTV not like Netflix or prime video?
