- Hi. I've been trying to call my family through messenger but I can't hear anything when they pick up nor they can hear anything that I say. I tried the sim removal and reset network settings but both still didn't do the trick.

I'm not very interested in phones or up to date with models and releases but I'm pretty sure it's an Iphone 8 plus and it probably has the most up to date iOS
It's my work phone, I didn't buy it. I live in Sweden but this has so far only happened to me and my colleagues while working on a project in Germany.
Today I saw it happen in front of my eyes, I pulled up my phone to take a picture and as I was about to snap the picture the screen just started showing thin white vertical lines on a grey background, the screen became brighter and brighter for thirty seconds until it went all black. It reacts to no buttons, nothing happens when I put in the charger, when I ask someone to call me it's like it's turned off. But last time it happened to me and to most of my colleagues, it will just start working in a couple of days again. It occurs when we weld. At a certain stage of my job we have a 10 hour shift where we TIG-weld copper. It is somehow related to that because it always happen during that shift but while I'm annoyed I'm dying to know the exact cause. We only have DC in our TIG torches when welding copper. It's a fairly powerful welding machine able to output upwards 450 Ampere required for copper welding.
I'm not sure about the exact cause. Today when it happened the welding machine was turned on standing maybe 1,5 meters away but noone was running it since maybe 30 minutes.
Me and my colleagues try to not wear the phones in our pockets while we weld. We need to be able to take photos and to be reached, so I still kept them around, so I guess at this point a solution to have it not happen in the future is to keep the phone in another building as we do this but that's annoying.
We think it's only these newer Iphones it's happening to. But it also only happens when we're in Germany. Maybe that's all a coincidence but it's just so weird. I moved the SIM-card to another, older Samsung phone, and it's working fine. Maybe it's relevant, the item we weld is high voltage DC conductors for power transmission. Does anyone have any ideas what it might be doing this, or how I could get my phone to start working again right away? [link] [comments]  |

So my iPhone has been having an issue with my home wifi connection to the point of me having to buy another phone on amazon until I can figure out the issue. It used to work perfectly fine on my WiFi and then started having issues with being super slow so I thought maybe it was the WiFi Antenna since the normal deleting the network and re-entering it didn't work but then I realized that other networks worked just fine. It is only painfully slow on my home wifi. Everywhere else it works great! My friends network even works fine and we have the same isp. Could it just be a compatibility issue? Is it my router? Can those just develop out of nowhere? All of the other devices I own work fine including the back up phone I bought to use so I don't use to much data. Thanks in advance! [link] [comments]  |

Everytimd I click export photo this weird menu thing pops up and the box is empty but it says like one snap selected and there is an X button in the right. I always have to close the app and open it again because pushing on the x button doesn't work and neither does swiping down to get rid of it. On my other phone it would give me options on where to save it but on this one it doesn't it's just blank and I can't find a setting for it. I'm so confused please help [link] [comments]  |
| Reset network settings, what does it do? Posted: 08 Jun 2020 11:30 PM PDT Iv been having problems lately with a slow/nonexistent connection randomly for certain apps, safari and Reddit included. A simple restart usually fixes this but i want it gone. I have a MacBook and all my WiFi passwords show there in keychain. If I reset network settings will it delete them, or will I be able to connect to all the networks I previously connected to like normal. Thanks [link] [comments]  |

| Posted: 08 Jun 2020 10:19 PM PDT So I jailbroke my iPhone 4 and then I edited the version of iOS using I file from 7.1.2 to iOS 13 and I was wondering if I were to connect to iTunes would it take the version back to iOS 7.12 because the apple stuff like the App Store won't let me download apps and I've already deleted cydia and all that stuff and I was just wondering if it would restore it back to normal please help [link] [comments]  |

So, it's rendered disabled until connected to iTunes (of which it's never been) So I follow directions just as I should, and get left with no response or even recognition of insertion of a USB device. iTunes didn't change at all. I have no issues on any other WiFi or when it's using its own service. I constantly get the 'failed to load' message on the reddit app. A bunch of sites tell me that the server couldn't be found. It's an A1662 model, iOS 13.5.1. Seller said it was used on AT&T and it shows AT&T in settings/about but it won't activate. I'm trying to use my AT&T SIM card from my Xs which also works fine in my iPhone 5. I submitted a carrier unlock request to AT&T which they approved but it still won't activate. That is just insane and as far as I am concerned only possible if many videos are continuously being played back at the same time. Moreover, she only used it a few short times within this period.
