I hope I'm in the correct place with a good question. If not please direct me somewhere more suitable!! So, there's a few issues that are happening with this but I think this is the main issue causing all the others. Basically, I have multiple Apple ID's. This one I'm having issues with will be called originalID@email.com. So I'm having issues with a few apps. Realized I had originally downloaded these apps with originalID, and I'm logged into throwawayID instead. So I log out and then attempt logging in with OriginalID. However, when I try logging in it says my email is invalid or doesn't exist. I receive the same error code when clicking "forgot Apple ID?" and when logging in to other Apple areas (website, itunes). I know OriginalID exists. I have multiple emails for Apple receipts for that ID and addressed to that email. Within those emails there are link options to view Apple ID options, subscriptions, history, etc. When I click those links & choose to open the page with safari I receive a white page with jumbled script as an error. As if it's trying to access information that existed at one point and no longer does. To see if it would work I decided to create a new Apple ID with the exact same email and username. Lo and behold it let me create it. Doing this resolved nothing and probably will cause more issues. I tried searching this issue on google but I only see answers that suggest going to Iforgot.apple.com/appleID or using 'forgot my ID' to recover it. I've made several app purchases and downloads in the past year with that Apple ID. I'm scared I won't be able to retrieve any of my data that goes along with it because of this. Has this happened to anyone else before or does anyone have any ideas as to what I can do? I have screenshots to prove this ID existed at one point. I didn't take a screenshot of the 'invalid or doesn't exist' error when trying to log in, and probably cannot take that screenshot now since I created a new Apple ID with the same info. So much so that it was giving false inputs and as you can see in the picture it's locked out by my phone typing it's own passcode wrong so much. Got my iPhone 11 Pro today (loving it so far) and did the iCloud backup download, which was on Nov of 2018. Annoying but that's fine, I guess I need to check my iCloud storage cause it might be full and it may not be backing up because of that. Regardless, none of my pictures transferred. Not even from the Nov '18 backup. Frustrating. Any way I can pull photos from my broken ass 8 to a computer and download them to my 11 Pro? [link] [comments]  |

I personally don't have a MacBook, my girlfriend and roommate do but not the same model as the one that was connected. I've since disconnected it but what could have possibly happened? My laptop broke mid semester and my schools tech office loaned me a mac. It was having issues with deep freeze and reseting not only on shutdown but at random times, so my professor just gave me his admin details (he's very cool) so I could disable deep freeze. I'm going to return it, but how can I delete all my data? I've gone and manually deleted folders but I'd just like to see if there is a better way to make sure. | How to Get Airplay to work on my TV's built in airplay? Posted: 09 Jun 2020 03:38 PM PDT I have a Sony 950G. It has apple airplay 2 built in. It works fine with my iphone but my Macbook never sees the TV as an option. The laptop works with my old apple TV which I used before the TV received the update and I made the switch. This is an Early 2015 Macbook. 10.13.6 software. Any idea what I can do to get it to work, or why it doesn't? This was a big reason I bought the TV. | Posted: 09 Jun 2020 07:24 PM PDT I haven't used my Mac in a couple days (it's been in sleep mode), but when I went to use it this evening, I randomly put my hand on top and it was super warm. I checked it with a infrared thermometer and it was around 72° F Maybe that's normal, but to me it seems really high for being asleep the last two days. Thought maybe I left a bunch of stuff running, but after logging in to check, everything was closed. I do have it sitting on a small shelf built into my monitor stand so maybe that's why, but there is plenty of space on top and in back for air circulation. | Which OS should I upgrade from Yosemite? Posted: 09 Jun 2020 10:56 PM PDT So since I got this mac secondhand last 2017, it has been running OS X Yosemite and I haven't upgraded since. I'm afraid that if I upgrade I will lose my files, lose access to my computer and stuff will go wrong that shouldn't have went wrong if I hadn't updated in the first place. There is no accessible Apple Store here in our country, so I'm relying on the internet for everything. This also means that if something messes up bad, I will never be able to go to an official store for it to have fixed. My Mac OS X Yosemite version is 10.10.5. My laptop is a Macbook Air, 11-inch, Early 2015 model. I have been wanting to install a newer version of Microsoft Office because I'm frustrated by the lack of shortcut keys of Powerpoint 2016 and that I can't embed fonts. I also think that it is really a due time for an upgrade. In line with this, what OS should I upgrade to? And what are the necessary steps and precautions I should make when upgrading? I'm very new to this and I don't like to dabble in software and stuff because I am afraid I won't be unable to undo something if I mess it up. Thank you for your responses and patience! Posted: 09 Jun 2020 10:49 PM PDT My SO and I never got around to making separate Apple IDs for our devices. Generally this has worked for us so far. The main reason why we haven't made separate accounts is that I do our backups in iTunes, and for app sharing so we've been sharing my Apple ID for the last 10 years. We just picked up two AirPods Pro today and after setting up the first pair for my SO, the APP was automatically paired to my devices over iCloud even though I have most iCloud settings off. So this has become a problem now since if I remove her APP from my device, it'd remove it on her devices also. Few questions if I may:

| SHIFT + Letter suddenly capitalizes letters Posted: 09 Jun 2020 10:23 PM PDT Hi sorry for the dumb question in advance, How can I switch the Shift key's function so I can type special characters (like square brackets, French quotations etc)? I was coding on Spyder and suddenly every time I tried to Shift + P/O (also the right and left square brackets respectively) it capitalizes the letters instead of typing out the brackets. I didn't click anything at all. Literally used the square brackets and in the same line of code it started capitalizing instead. Appreciate the help! Processor: 2.5 GHz Dual-Core Intel Core i5 Memory: 4 GB 1600 MHz DDR3 Graphics: Intel HD Graphics 4000 1536 MB Storage: 500 GB SATA disk Battery: about 45 min. of life It still works sufficiently. Everything runs okay. I do get some problems when opening multiple apps, and microsoft word and excel take forever to open up. I came across a tiktok video the other day of someone with my exact laptop upgrading the memory to 16 GB and they said that their laptop runs exactly like a new one. I figured that if I upgrade the memory, replace the battery, and exchange my hard drive to an ssd type I might give this baby some new life and avoid having to buy a replacement. I've tried looking around for replacement parts, but there are SO MANY. I was wondering if I could get any recommendations from this sub? Any amazon links would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. | Posted: 09 Jun 2020 09:57 PM PDT Basically I went into settings, cellular, then scrolled to personal hotspot and saw that the personal hotspot has used 96.5 kB (not a lot I know) however when I click it to check what devices have used it it says that an iPhone used 98.6 kB. Now I know who used the hotspot but why is the data different. Is it just a bug or is it because it's such a small amount of data? Edit: when I first checked it they were both the same at 98.6 then they went down. However it still says 98.6 when I see what devices have used the hotspot. [link] [comments]  |

Posted: 09 Jun 2020 09:43 PM PDT My AirPods while in the case will connect and show up on my screen when I want to see their percentages. However when I take one or both AirPods out of the case and put them in my ear 8/10 times they do nothing. They don't connect and I have to keep repositioning them in my ear trying to get them to connect to my phone. Bluetooth is on and even says "AirPods connected" but when I play music it doesn't play through the AirPods. It seems to have such a long delay especially when it's only one AirPod. Is there something wrong with my phone that's messing up the Bluetooth connection? Has anyone else experienced this or have my AirPods just gone to shit? Thanks in advance! [link] [comments]  |

As such when I try to login my phone presses random buttons and it locks me out. I am upgrading my phone tomorrow. I have plugged it in to sync it; however I cannot press the trust this computer because I am unable to unlock the phone. | Posted: 09 Jun 2020 08:03 PM PDT I'm transferring mps to a new iPod Touch 7, and the track names are showing as city names, what I imagine are the artist's hometown? For example, I'm putting Billy Joel songs on the iPod, and I put one song, "You May Be Right" from the album Glass Houses on the iPod and it shows up fine. But when I copy a second song from that album, "Don't Ask Me Why", both song titles are showing as "Hicksville, Long Island, New York, USA". These are mp3s that originated from outside iTunes, but I'm using iTunes to put them on the iPod. I"m not syncing because there's files within iTunes that I don't want on the iPod, so please don't suggest syncing the iPod. Within iTunes, the song names are completely fine, and there doesn't seem to be anything different going on in the mp3 tags. In fact, there's not even anything in the tags where this city information would pull from. Any ideas? or Help? [link] [comments]  |
| Forwarding text message option not showing on iPhone Posted: 09 Jun 2020 07:51 PM PDT I've have one MBP for over a year, and SMS forwarding works fine on it. However, I got a new MacBook Pro today (not a replacement, but a second one), and my iphone is NOT showing the 'forward text message' option. iPhone is running 13.5, MBPs are Catalina. Among many things I've tried is: 1) Signing out of iMessages on all devices 2) Rebooting all devices 3) Signing into iMessage first on iPhone, then Mac's, then iPad I *DO* get alerts on all my devices that 'MacBook can now receive imessages.." when I sign into messenger on my laptops.
