Posted: 07 Jun 2020 03:43 AM PDT I don't know how I missed this feature but this is amazing! Normally I only used one audio output, the tv speakers or the HomePod. I did this because there was always this slight delay between the two. Now I found this feature on Apple TV settings in the Video and Audio section that you can calibrate your audio output using your iPhone! On Apple TV go to Settings > Video and Audio > Wireless Audio Sync - https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT210526 Sorry if this is already common knowledge, but I was pleasantly surprised by this! Edit: where to find the feature. [link] [comments]

AppStore is now available in Maldives, But.... Posted: 07 Jun 2020 12:36 PM PDT After years of waiting, AppStore is finally available in Maldives. But, still Google's Apps, such as YouTube, Drive, etc.. is not available in Maldives. Any idea? Is it because of the Google? If so, why Google Drive is not available in AppStore? Isn't that worldwide App? [link] [comments]
Regarding the stability and bugs related to more recent version of iOS especially after iOS 7... Posted: 07 Jun 2020 09:18 PM PDT I know that apple was never perfect before the iOS 7 days with the old skeuomorphic design and there were definitely issues back then with those old versions of iOS. Once Scott forstall was fired and Craig Federighi took over iOS development, iOS stability, performance issues and iOS bugs have been much worse especially in those final public versions of iOS since iOS 7 till today. What are your opinions regarding this? Is it because Craig Federighi is in charge 2 major operating systems (iOS and macos) and unable to focus on the development of each of OS or what else is the reason? People always seem to blame Tim Cook but no one really talks about Craig who is actually in charge of the 2 OS. I'm not blaming Craig for the performance issues in recent versions of iOS but I would like to know your opinions on why those issues are more apparent nowadays. There is no denial that the FINAL PUBLIC versions before iOS 6 (Not talking about betas) had smoother animations and were much more stable (They had their issues just not as apparent as nowadays like now in iOS 13). There may be opinions where back in pre iOS 7 days, the OS was much less complicated compared to now but to be fair, those iOS versions were way ahead of the time and complicated for that time period [link] [comments]
Those who went from a 13" to a 16" MBP, how has your experience been? Posted: 07 Jun 2020 06:26 PM PDT Strictly looking for thoughts on personal experience.. Portability, screen size differences (and how that effects your workflow), etc. I've never had anything bigger than a 13" laptop and I'm a little hesitant to haul around a bigger device despite wanting the power that the 16" brings to the table. 200IQ Ecosystem TL;dr at bottom Posted: 07 Jun 2020 10:54 PM PDT So I'm finally getting a bulk of the hardware required to be really into the Apple Ecosystem and would like to spitball ideas on how to get the best use of my setup and hopefully others. I would like to emphasize app suggestions for apps that work across the entire ecosystem like there here all three macOS, iOS, and iPadOS (niche but it's kinda of the whole reason I typed out this whole essay). I'll go over my setup and how I currently use it or want to use it. iPhone How I use it - iPod, camera, instant messenger, email, health & mindfulness, finance, social media, and news. How I want to use it - iPod, camera, health & mindfulness My thinking with how I want to use it is that I will never take too much with me but always have the necessities. My favorite apps: Tweetbot, Tidal, reddit, calendar, messages, and some of the moleskine suite of apps. MacBook Pro How I use it- I bought an older MacBook Pro 13 about 6 months ago to rightfully act as my productivity powerhouse. Recently with the world events I've been able to sit and dick around with macOS and I definitely love it. I've loved it so much that I've tried turning it into a consumption device too (the reason I want an iPad Pro). How I want to use it - productivity, job searching, music, eventually editing, light typing. My favorite apps -day one, tweetbot, tidal, Mail, settings (lol) I want my computer to be my adult time / brain of my ecosystem. Meaning I control my iCloud settings and devices from here. Headphones Beats Pro - I mostly use these with my laptop (has headphone jack and decent dac) when I want to listen to music with headphones on. I've had these for maybe 6 years and they're ok. AirPods Pro - these were kind of an impulse buy but I'm really happy with these. The functionality of these blew my mind, the noise cancellation and transparency modes are my favorite features. These pair easily with Apple devices so these are a no brainer if you can find em on sale. iPad -so I want an iPad Pro to act as the heart of my ecosystem. Meaning I do ALL of my dicking around on here with browsing, social media, social life, shopping, long reddit posts, etc. I would also like to express my creative with this device with the Pencil and mic. This would be the hub of my life (Steve would want this). I would also track health and mindfulness with this device. Think how Tony Stark used JARVIS but a tablet. I have a watch also but only use that for notifications, fitness, and time. TL;dr what are your favorite apps and what devices do you use and how do you use them. [link] [comments]

Hapticly - A new way to create and share haptics Posted: 06 Jun 2020 07:17 PM PDT I made this app and I am curious what you guys think of it. It uses your iPhone's haptic engine to make and share beats. I would really like to see what people are able to make. Let me know if you have any feedback. [link] [comments] |
