Force Gmail app on iPhone to enable dark mode Posted: 09 May 2020 01:19 PM PDT Now I've been a part of the unlucky bunch waiting for Google to roll out their dark mode for the Gmail app. It's ridiculous how they are still rolling them out in "stages." I stumbled upon a Twitter thread about people successfully enabling dark mode on the Gmail app by opening and forcing to close repeatedly. I was skeptical but to my surprise it worked! Now I can't say it will work for everyone but it does not hurt to try if you've been waiting like I am. I've laid out the steps below: I have a total of 4 accounts in Gmail: 3 Gsuite, 1 Gmail. Unfortunately leaving my Gsuite account on while trying this didn't work. Thanks Google. However..
I understand that this might not work for everyone, but I was the unlucky few waiting for Google to "push" dark mode out. I was tired of waiting and decided to try this. If you have a few seconds to spare, give it a shot. Good luck! Edit: Added some extra steps. Source Link: https://mobile.twitter.com/ar72014/status/1258908070819880961?s=21 [link] [comments] | ||
