| [HELP] iPhone 5S does not update OS even in Standard Recovery Mode Posted: 02 May 2020 12:54 AM PDT My phone unexpectedly restarted and then it stayed stuck on the gray Apple logo for hours. For several days, I tried using iTunes to return the phone to its previous state by updating the OS under Standard Recovery Mode (SRM) yet after many attempts, it released a unknown error (9). The iPhone tends to disconnect and restart upon installation of the OS (even though the USB connection is intact) and connect and entering the SRM again after releasing an error. Tried using dr. fone, Phone Rescue, and other repair software but to no avail. Any way to fix this error? Thank you! [link] [comments]  |

| Posted: 01 May 2020 07:43 PM PDT So, I dropped my phone in the pool. Pull it out after 20sec. After that I dried a little bit and it showed the charging icon to connect to a charger. I plugged it in and it turned off and went into boot loop. Opened the phone and it seems like the charging port is a little burned/rust. What it could be since its going in a boot loop? | Combining two vertical videos on iPhone Posted: 01 May 2020 02:45 PM PDT So I want to combine two vertical videos into one video on my iPhone but have no idea how?? I tried launching iMovie but it looks like it would combine the video if was horizontal. Is there a way to combine two vertical videos together with out it turning out horizontal? I'm not sure if there's a way to do this with out needing to purchase some sort of movie editing system. It seems simple but I can't figure it out. Anyone know how to do this?? [link] [comments]  |
| iPhone 8 stuck on loading apple screen Posted: 01 May 2020 11:29 AM PDT Monday I was having problem opening photo app so I decided to hard reset. Photo app still did not open. So I reset the entire iPhone but kept data and it showed my iPhone with apple logo and the little white loading bar you regularly see when resetting. However the phone got stuck. Left on over night, loading bar still never finished. I hard reset again and it just resets the apple reset process and the loading bar just gets stuck again. I plugged into iTunes and it says "respond on iPhone" but I can't cause it's stuck on apple logo. Any recommendations? Any 3rd party software that can bypass this problem and finally reset my iPhone? | 2 questions about XS battery and replacement. Posted: 01 May 2020 03:55 PM PDT Hello all! I have an iPhone XS which is perfectly fine for me and is still working great. I see no need to upgrade. However there is a very noticeable degradation in battery life the past 6 months or so. Which is expected as batteries don't last forever. It used to last a full day and now it drops 10-20% an hour. My questions... 1: If I replace the battery can I expect the same performance as when it was new? As in it used to last a whole day. 2: is there a noticeable difference between an authentic apple replacement and an aftermarket or are they about the same? The apple is a little more than double the cost. I expect to have this phone for another year at least, maybe 2. I've had it for 20 months and on original battery. Thank you! [link] [comments]  |

HOW Posted: 01 May 2020 03:26 PM PDT So, at a closer look in my contacts, i found out i had around 35 contacts i never added, some of then were 'ME' and the number of a friend of mine, i even had contacts with Photos, i showed them to her, and she said they are theirs and she does not have them anymore in her phone, HOW. i have ss if some apple guy thinks i`m kidding. | Posted: 01 May 2020 10:41 AM PDT So earlier today some rainwater got into the top speaker of my phone next to the front side camera. (It's gotten wet before and nothing ever happened plus I had an umbrella with me) A few minutes later when I was watching a video I heard static-like noises from that top speaker and realized it was the rainwater. I wiped it off and the noises stopped so I thought everything was okay. But now I can't swipe up to unlock my phone and can only get in it through notifications. I also can't reboot it because it doesn't allow me to swipe the reboot slide thing either. Any suggestions on how I can fix this? [link] [comments]  |

| Posted: 01 May 2020 04:53 AM PDT sometimes when i try and go on to apps its doesnt load and instantly goes back to the home screen, usually i reset my phone and its all ok. This happened earlier (discord wouldnt load)m so i turn my phone off but now its stuck on the apple logo and wont turn on. ive tried: holding the home and power button down so it turns off but then turns on again without me pressing anything and does the same as before resetting it and holding the volume up button while on the logo resetting it and holding the home button while on the logo sometimes (this has happened about twice now) the screen would go black then instantly to the apple logo again all the youtube videos ive seen just tell you to reset your phone and hold certain buttons or something but as i explained earlier, none of them work ok the screen literally just went black for a second again its happened 3 times now edit: i held the power button and the volume up button down, the screen went black and then back to the logo a few times. unsure what to do, i released the buttons when the screen went black again. it has stayed like this since and now im not sure what to do. is it off or stuck or something else...? i daren't press anything in case this whole process starts again [link] [comments]  |
| iPhone X issues after contact with water. Posted: 01 May 2020 07:52 AM PDT Hello, I managed to drop my iPhone X in the bath, probably about 30CM deep and pulled it out instantly. Since then I haven't been able to charge the phone with a cable (my wireless charger still works) or use Face ID at all. I've tried resetting Face ID however it keeps telling me to lower or raise the iPhone however it is impossible to get the right spot. My headphones work fine which confuses me about the charger port.
